  1. Awesome Rezz, keep it coming.. We are like hungry sharks begging for something to chew on .. ( i guess certain australian magazines know this... ) Your journalism is awesome, get yourself a handy cam and start filming documentaries on the japanese drifto scene and your onto a winner
  2. I just throw my dealer plate on the back and i'm off. I love my friends If you can get your hands on one of those babies DO IT.
  3. Yep, you can import R34s under the SEVS scheme. In 2006, assuming the cost of compliance stays the same, and you will l be looking around maybe $50-$60k for a '99 model if you decide to import yourself in more than a year from now. Go take look at these import brokers: www.prestigemotorsport.com or www.j-spec.com
  4. I am considering a full 3.5" straight-through system. I'm not sure to go completely stainless or not.. it would have twin dump pipes and a stainless muffler with tip.. ie no rice cannon. (not that theres anything wrong with that) Just procrastinating before my car with stock exhaust system arrives in a couple of weeks
  5. Hey Guys, Whats the best exhaust system to suit the rb26? Consideration should be made to the following criterea: - Most power delivery - Best sounding - Not trying to be loud! (but probably not having much choice) - Styling? What system do you have on your GTR? What is the best system you've heard, and have you/why would you pay the extra for a full stainless system?
  6. I want to buy a black oddysey, drop it on its nuts with 20's.. hell yeah!
  7. Wow thats some crazy damage! I'm amazed its not all over the media.. i guess it doesnt make for an interesting story when theres any kind of locally delivered car involved. Could the bickering between holden and nissan owners please cease. We all know that the GTR is superior to any HSV, just drop it. Ali: You sure your a GTR owner, if it is somehow true, could you please sell it and buy a HSV? Thanks.
  8. Thats a very sultry black-top Sr20det Maxx
  9. Actually you'd be suprised.. the sr20det puts out about 150-160kw at the fly.. so I'm assuming hypnotik's talking rwkw, or doesnt actually know how much his s13 puts out.. (i'm assuming its an sr20det, if its a ca18det, then yes he probably is dreaming...)
  10. I think SAU should stop linking to articles like this.. it just makes that particular stories hits/uniques shoot through the roof after every sau user clicks on it 3 times, and makes the media think "Great these car crash stories about skylines are really popular lets make more!"
  11. You want to move from a heavy rwd turbo.. to a light fwd non turbo? Get a grip mate! Just buy a new skyline..
  12. Well i'm not that shy.. I paid about 22k for my stock standard 89 gtr in good condition that was bought through a supplier, not auction. Similar condition to cars I saw in 2003 going for about $14k However the guys who where smart and got in early saved a tonne of money had to wait up to a year longer than they thought..
  13. Actually you missed the point, I was pointing out how out of three people buying cars, the earliest guy gets his car the latest, and the latest guy to buy his car gets his the earliest. Lets not forget that I paid an extra $5k for my car than people who have been waiting 6-12 months..
  14. Just wanted to emphasise what s already been mentioned in this section regarding shipping. Myself and three of my close friends have begun importing '89 model imports within the last few months, starting with myself. 1. My car, a very tidy stock as hell R32 GTR was purchased on the 12th of November and was elligible for immediate import, it arrives in: 3 weeks (22nd feb). 2. Mate One, a Toyota Celsior with a 2jz twin turbo supra engine conversion, and expensive aftermarket everything purchased his car during mid January and it will be here in: 2 weeks. 3. Mate Two, a 300zx TT purchased his car 2 WEEKS ago and it will be here in: 2 days!! All cars are at different ports and using different vessles. The Verdict: :bs!:
  15. Actually Dragzz, if you install the system yourself $350 is more than enough money for a 3point immobiliser, alarm and keyless entry. take a look at some of the recent articles on Autospeed.com about alarms on a budget. The plastic thing on your keyring wont look as pretty as a $600 one but it will do the same job and cost you less.
  16. Zebbie: He was asking you because most people owe a lot of money on their cars.. its his way of making himself feel better about the fact that you own a nice car that he wishes he could own. "Ohhh Yeaahhh mate its nice but like how much money do you owe on it, geez.." "Nothing mate its all paid off" that usually shuts them up pretty fast
  17. Mashrock: Did you just buy it?
  18. Your car is going to explode in about 2 days unless you fix the flux capacitor. What was the smell? Is it still boosting nice and smoothly all the way up the rev range?
  19. I am holding my breath until I found out whether or not my car makes it onto the Kiwi carrier leaving this Wednesday the 19th from Kawasaki port.. as seen in sig...
  20. So thats a no to brand name mufflers?
  21. I have an Alpine IVA-d300e .. I prefer it over the 9835 because it gives you more control being a touchscreen. The picture quality is not -as- good as a 9835 but its still better than everything else you can get out there. Touchscreen = the goods.
  22. hmm...
  23. Also, I was under the impression that the RB26 had six throttle bodies?
