  1. step 1. sell car step 2. buy r32 gtr it would probably cost less in the long run and be a more enjoyable steer, and at least you can sell the car for a bit less than what you paid.. a 12 second gts-t is not going to have the same resale value.
  2. Okay so the successful applicant will require 10 years SAS training, night vision goggles, base jumping parachute and a silenced 9mm. The primary objective: infiltrate the secured compound, locate the target vehicle and infiltrate the glovebox!
  3. I need some more specific photos taken of my car, and I need said person to grab the log books from the glovebox and mail them down here to me. As I said if your interested PM me and we'll negotiate a price for your time.. i'd really appreciate it!
  4. Hey Guys, Just wondering if anyone here lives in Kawasaki or near there.. my GTR I just purchased is at the wharf and was wondering if I could pay someone to do me a favour Please PM or reply in this thread.
  5. Gav: Great tip! i'll try it out.. Yeah the ships are all overbooked at the moment, I might not even have the car until early Feb! :goddam: Just wondering if anyone has experience removing cup holders, and if anyone thinks it will be a problem.
  6. Thanks Lucien! I cant get the log books sent as its already at the wharf. I'm getting the car shipped on the next available vessle, so i think it should be here in early January 05.
  7. Hey Guys, After *almost* buying an r34 gtr, and deciding its way too much money to spend on a car the only other option was an r32. The amount of money I save importing a 15 year old GTR compared to purchasing a local 92-94 model in similar condition was enough that I've taken the plunge, even with the moderate risk involved in importing yourself. This vehicle from a supplier I found through prestige motorsport will be in my garage early 2005: http://www.prestigemotorsport.com.au/?/au/...sp?StockID=2654 Just some quick questions: 1. I read a thread a while back about people trying to remove the cup holders (as seen on my car) from the air con vents. I remember people saying its impossible to remove them without damaging the vents.. is this true? 2. How much is it going to cost to get the dash and door/interior trim recovered, or is it cheaper to buy a new dash? Has anyone done this? Edit: The car has now Arrived!, pics can be viewed ** HERE!! **
  8. import an 89 model while you still can, or buy a 90 model for import next year.. theres a misconception that 15 year old cars are 1000x crappier than a car that is only a handful of years younger than it. The truth is that 15 year cars are just a few years older than the cars that cost 4-5k more. And if you find a 15 year old vehicle thats in outstanding condition its not uncommon for it to be a far better buy than eg a 92 model that has average amounts of wear and tear.
  9. Jake: I think a modded GTR makes a great daily driver
  10. stretch yourself to 25k and buy an s15
  11. Lets face it, when selling a car the first thing the buyer wants to know is: "Is the car shiney? Can I see my reflection in it even?"
  12. Hey Guys, Thought you'd appreciate this one.. http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsales/!c...rch_distance=25 As a wise man once said: dont post your car for sale while smoking crack, people.
  13. definately, definately the R33 GTR. Push the thought of r33 gtst's being riced up with gtr badges way out of your mind and buy the GTR. IF you do end up buying the R34, they look hot as hell with some big wheels and dewinged. Either car you buy your onto a winner.. but I recommend buying the GTR first.. I believe it will depreciate a lot slower than the GTT will. As much as r34 gtt owners on this site dont want to agree with me, I believe they will be dipping into the high $20k bracket within the next few years.. I think GTRs will strongly hold their value for years to come because they are a highly regarded enthusiasts machine. PS. for everyone saying "Go something different, get a GTT..." I've seen more R34 GTT's driving around my area of brisbane than I have seen actual, genuine, real rb26dett equipped r33 gtrs driving around.
  14. Buy a pintara for cheap (1.5k) buy an rb20det front cut (1.5k) and you'll have 2k spare to get someone else to do the job, or if you can do the conversion yourself spend the rest of your budget on suspension/tuning/brakes
  15. SteveL: Thats great to hear the engineer is allowing you to affix a 3" cat to your car.. i'd assume that most would be a tight-arse on the issue.
  16. Yah, obviously the r33 turbos would be best, I just need to know the difference
  17. Hey Guys, Not taking the v-spec models into consideration, I am of the understanding that the r33 turbos have a steel turbine and the r32s have a ceramic turbine, correct? Is that the only difference?
  18. rrrage: comparing s14s and s13s is EXACTLY like comparing r33s to r32s.. different things for different folks.
  19. Anything that does under 14 seconds in stock form from the factory makes me smile. As a man with simple tastes, any R34 GTR makes me break my neck when they drive past, even if its stock.. Ohh yeahhh.. GTR goodness..
  20. GRUNTN: I get the impression he's hunting them to race, not to buy.
  21. sluggish.. very sluggish. The americans get all the good stuff, A good friend of mine in Florida has an is400. its a 4 litre v8 with 400hp from the factory. Does 14 second quarters stock Sigh. If only we got those here.. Maybe an engine conversion?
  22. Dont mean to to hijack the thread, but while we're on the topic, does anyone know what are the main differences between r33 gtr turbos and that on an r32 gtr?
