  1. Just wanted to thank SAU, the club, everyone and its owners for showing your support on the site. In less than two weeks we have gone from a handful of parts and we're about to break 300.. which, even for a free site isnt bad. Hopefully we will have thousands of parts soon as the site becomes more "interesting" as we collect more parts and users.. we are going to be advertising in unique cars next issue or the issue after, so if you do have any parts left to sell now is the time to put them on there I am still open for any comments or questions, as they have been great. Thanks again guys.
  2. i'd say it would be too much work to make it RWD. If you want to do a project, i'd sell the car as is for a few grand if possible, buy an R31 and do an rb20det/rb25det/rb26dett conversion. At least then it will bolt straight in, it will already be RWD and you'll be driving a nissan
  3. GTS-t's will still be driven by hairdressers no matter how many tough ones there are.. the cars are 'good value'.
  4. Can we find out how much the vehicle sold for?
  5. I have driven both a modified S15 Rspec GT and a modified GTR off their tits. They are both outstanding cars. But for the price your paying to buy an S15 you will find a GTR in the same condition, so age/condition is not an issue here. It depends if you want to go for modern european looks/interior on a powerful rwd sports car or blistering quick giddiness underneath an absolute m*ther****ing weapon.
  6. The reason we're seeing this is because if you walk into any autob4rn* they sell them off the shelf for $49 like they are candy. * - business name disguised to comply with SAU's rules.
  7. I agree with the above comments.. keeping it concourse would become a sick fascination, as it would be a sin to buy this car and drive it into the ground, from a purists perspective. But then again how is it any different from buying a NEW car?
  8. Hey Guys, Just wanted to tell you that I saw a cheap copy of a real GTR badge on the back of a VL last night, along with a Nismo sticker. My sides where aching.
  9. It's not about the km's, its about the CONDITION of the car. If you think your car is anything close to that for 14k, Your dreaming. Aybee: its 12,000kms. I would take this over an 93-94 model i've ever seen on the auctions my friend
  10. http://www.j-spec.com.au/list/index.php?ID=1030 God damn thats lush. I wish I could get 40k together in time before the auction closes.. I would take one of these over an r33 gtr any day.
  11. No he's got it all wrong thats MY GTR! I had the pics first!
  12. Good on you mate. Figure out what your goals are at an early age and go get em. No wonder everyone else is pissed! Top job.
  13. Removed the mustard yellow due to popular demand! We're working on making thumbnails but have put a lot of focus on getting the site up and operating properly. It's good to see so many skyline guys listing there parts there.. Infact I think the Skyline r33 is currently the winner for most parts!!! Thanks for everyones support
  14. Sometimes its hard to ignore other drivers if they have the highbeams on and have decided to put their cars nose 2" away from the back of your car while your already doing 5km over the speed limit.
  15. If it was 2 lanes and the driver of the r34 was tailgating you he's a moron. Should have emergency braked and caused the guy to put a stripe in his undies.
  16. Hey Pva_Glue, Good question, and thanks for the encouragement. We're currently writing some 'Reputation System' code, where sellers will have positive/negative feedback posted against their name. This will be implemented within the next few weeks. We're considering toning down the sites colour scheme.
  17. Just curious why you think the R34s are the heaviest?
  18. predator: So when are you going to register and sell those annoying spares floating around in your garage?
  19. geno8r: your mates an idiot! If I saw someone threatening another driver with a bat i'd write down his plate and call the police.
  20. R 3 2 A N Y D A Y O F T H E W E E K Take the GTR. why? 1. it is the toughest thing out of japan ever. 2. you can buy an s15 but you'll still wish you had a GTR 3. you wont be driving around wishing you had an s15 when your in the GTR 4. S15's cabin space is too cramped. If your over 5'11 you'll find the roof/ceiling is so low it will rub against your hair which is very annoying. I did not have this problem in my S13 or any R32 i've driven. 5. S15's gearbox is poor but i think everyones blown it up out of proportion. Dont bring this in as a deciding factor unless your going to modify the hell out of the 200sx. 6. a $30k '89 model GTR will be in as new if not better condition than a locally delivered 200sx. For eg. 45,000kms with logbook history. Hence maintenance and 'age' is not a concerning factor. A $18k GTR will definately have big problems and be poorly maintained, but lets compare apples with apples. ps. Caring about whether the car has a cd player or not is pointless. Oh, and R32 GTR > S15 > R33 GTR
  21. predator: Yeah, we're rallying together a few different suppliers and will start getting more item listings in there. Once thats sorted and its fleshed out the site will look a lot better. As it currently sits the sites been up and functioning properly for less than 24 hours, so its interesting times ahead. Thanks for the input mate! funkymonkey: Hell yeah! Bring it on.. give J-spec my contact details i'll make sure it all goes smoothly for them. Essential: Personally i'd love to see guys start listing some skyline bits and peices. You can add your panels into the Exterior Body -> Replacement Panels section
  22. Hey Guys, I hope Kristian doesnt get mad at me: we do intend on sponsoring SAU in the future and you can hold me to that! I am opening up Australias first decent auto parts site. http://www.easyautobits.com/ It hasnt officially gone 'live' yet, and this forum being my frequent hangout is the first to know about it. I would *REALLY* appreciate any feedback, suggestions or comments on the site as it stands at this point, and you can email me here: [email protected] or chat to me about it on ICQ 4969303. Of course, if you do have any old parts in your garage (I'm sure that is all of you) please please please register and start adding some parts! This site will be great and it will always be free to advertise car parts. It still requires a few small tweaks, so while we do that any suggestions, comments or constructive critisism will be taken very seriously. Above all else let me know what you think and i'd really appreciate SAUs support. And if you like the site, tell your mates!
