  1. The first few weeks I had with my Pulsar GTiR, I raced a TT Supra at the lights. It was the closest race I have ever had in the car, but I did slowly but surely pull away from the guy. The Supra had an exhaust, bov, etc.. the pulsar was still dead stock with catback. Go figure. The Supra driver was pissed.
  2. They have three options: - Give you a full refund so you can get the work carried out somewhere else - Pay someone else to do the job again, professionally. - Have another go .. If they refuse get a lawyer to write them a scary letter.
  3. It seems to me as though Mitsubishi noticed how popular the WRX's have been and they where like 'Hey this AWD thing sells cars! but nobody in Australia can afford an evo, so hey lets dump an awd drivetrain into this crap box family car!' Voila, the awd magna was born.
  4. I reckon someone had a lot of fun killing that car.
  5. The fact is we can bitch and argue about these cars beating each other, but at the end of the day it comes down to the better driver. Because the difference in experience and skill (and often a car thats not tuned properly) can make a difference of many seconds from 0-400. Given ideal circumstances the r32, r34 gtst's in stock form should eat a rex in stock form no dramas, to 120km/hr and beyond. STI? r32, r34 gtrs, same deal. As for the r33, well.. Lets say "at least remove the stock exhaust first? :)"
  6. i wear moccos I guess this once again proves one thing: If you want one of the best cars on the road for school kid pocket money prices.. Your not going to get away with it without paying somewhere along the line. And for that i'm grateful, theres already enough young guys who can barely afford to keep their cars serviced driving around in these great cars.
  7. Going to get a pretty crappy integra or swift for 5k
  8. Answer: No, Definately not, Nowhere near.
  9. Sorry, I dont respect a guy i know who bought a fully worked tx3. The guy couldnt even tell me how his boost controller worked or how to adjust his bov.
  10. I could never buy somebody elses dream and ideas. It would be like having sex with your mates wife.
  11. GTST: S14s are really slow and boring without bucketloads of mods as well, kind of like the r33 gtst is. JimX: Who prefers 6cyls? The australian general public of course! gts89: I guess if its about how leet your car sounds as your bouncing off the rev limiter with your wastegate blaring, along with how good it looks then sure. The r32s interior might be nicer and sound a lot more powerful but the guy in the s13 overtaking it is probably having way more fun But they are all nissans so whichever one you choose you can't go wrong.
  12. Could we please stop talking about the boxster, i dont know how it was brought up in the first place- its not worthy of being involved in any kind of gtr discussion. Thanks
  13. That would be making the wild and crazy assumption that the r33 is a superior car. Why do you think r32 gtr's in immaculate condition cost MORE than immac. r33 gtrs in japan? There is a reason.
  14. They are both really good cars. The decision might come down to which one you can find thats in good condition and the right price. Sr20det Silvia - rare find (esp in manual), great as a sleeper sr20det 180sx - getting quite common, but more of a hero in public opinion due to there not being any non-turbo models. rb20det r32 - interior cabin slightly larger, usually more respected due to being a 6cyl, requires about 3.5k on performance mods to get the same feeling the s13 gives you. But if that same 3.5k was put into the s13.. watch out
  15. Yeah my mate runs a muffler shop and he says lovells are as good as king springs (which I have) if not better, but are less expensive and Australian made.
  16. This is a beautiful car and looks like it is worth every penny of 40k. I would take this over a r33 any day if it was a little closer to stock mechanically. I particularly like the condition of the interior/exterior. It's a pity theres so many idiots when your selling a car like this. The pics are fine, but it would be nicer if they where of a higher resolution.. its hard to see detail. Good Luck selling the car, if I had 40k I'd buy it. Unfortunately my budget for an r32 is about 30.
  17. Hey Guys, Just thought i'd get the first thread in and start it off with.. Who uses an r32 gtr as their daily driver, and is it reliable and practical for these purposes? Or is it better to use it mainly as a weekend car and get a 'runabout' for the weekdays? Please share your thoughts.
  18. Easy answer to the question.. You WILL sell this car at some point. When you do it will be a lot easier to sell a factory GTR than an gts4 w/ frontcut.
  19. blu32: How do they get into the engine bay/open the bonnet without breaking into the car first? This would set the alarm off. I'm confused.
  20. zymotic: its all good. the nissan god shall guide thy path my young adventurer.
