Its entirely possible considering the Astra and Vectra are from Vauxhall, and Vauxhall are selling the monaro as the "Monaro VXR" The VX220 is certainly a car i've wanted for a long time, but if it became available here badged a holden i would probably spew. :throwup:

The 89 GTRs definately come standard with the crappy looking blue seats. The later models have the grey more 'buckety' style seats. Obviously suede leather was a factory option. Red17: PICS! There has to be more differences - Does anyone have a URL to more info on the certain upgrades over the 5-6 years the r32 gtr was in production?

Maybe the supercar issue is my fault, by calling the GTR a supercar in the first few posts. What qualifies a car as a supercar? I believe the fact that the amount of power and times the gtr puts out from the factory, along with one of the best and sophisticated traction systems in the world and not to mention the gadgets that come stock (r34) make it a supercar in my eyes. Then again some people claim the GTR is just a $150k Datsun.

sewid: he's just not trying hard enough to get finance and if you shop around hard for insurance you can find reasonable insurance as well.

I think the morale of the story is that a GTR is the best value supercar dollar for dollar. (And yes, I believe that a pure performance car that costs $150k+ new can be called that)

I Saw a 1991 model today, also has the 'good' grey style seats. So far i've only (consistently) seen the crappy blue seats in '89 models.

Hey Guys, Just curious but regarding the r32 GTR's, i've noticed that the '89 model has a few differences between models of later years.. like 92-94. Like the baby blue cloth seats, all the 92+ models i've seen seem to have a dark grey sportier looking seat (doesnt look after market) is there a series 1 and 2 r32, like the r33? or do they all have those crap looking blue seats If there is two different series, what other differences are there?
