  1. I can see from the professionalism of their website that their claims must be legitimate.
  2. Of course its their choice, they do it because they want their car to look 'ful sik'. But maybe if they realised when they drive past in their 'ful sik' r33 with half of a gtr body kit hanging off their car it looks retarded and cheap. And I honestly cringe every time one drives past, and so does my girlfriend and all of my other friends who know about jap cars. I have a lot more respect for guys who do up their gtst's and have the balls and creativity to give it its own look.
  3. Yeah. Could the non-GTR people please stop copying GTR's? its really starting to make me sick.. 90% of r33 gtst drivers that do this are just trying to make their car look like something it is totally, totally not.
  4. Sorry guys, But orange indicator lights are a thing of the past. All the modern cars these days are being released with clear indicator lights as it looks a lot cleaner and simple. Personally I think by making the indicator lights clear it takes your attention away from the 'out of place' colour and towards the horn (stock) curves of your GTR. I also dont think its rice.
  5. Damn I shouldnt have asked.. now everybody is going to have these..
  6. anyone got pics of them on a GTR?
  7. Geoff from prestige is brilliant - he returns phone calls and really works hard for his agent fee. I wouldnt bother importing through anyone else, once I find a good thing I stick to it.
  8. Just as a comparison, the GTR is a far better car.
  9. Pics Pics Pics.. I have Xenons on my GTiR, they look mad pimp.. havent seen them on a skyline yet
  10. Well, let me put it to you this way. Insurance costs exactly the same for this vehicle as it does a turbo r33. Considering for 16k you can find a turbo r33 for the exact same money, you would have to have a brain disorder to buy this car.
  11. You could get a new pulsar. They are only 19 990.
  12. Man you guys are weak, I did 300 yesterday.
  13. LastTemptation: Sounds like you need a new mechanic.
  14. R34 GTR - the ultimate GTR.
  15. Sydney compliance center are good guys. They get the thumbs up from me, they did my GTIR.
  16. knore: Yeah kind of like how after I clean/vacuum/polish my car it feels like it drives faster.. :headspin:
  17. No offence guys, But i would like to point out that this thread subject is really stupid. Not trolling, but honestly.. of course a lighter car given the same brakes, tyres etc will stop first.
  18. I prefer the debadged look.
  19. Stirlo_GTR: Notice how all the haters have stopped talking now?
  20. Absolute nonesense, 19.5k is an OVERESTIMATION. Your acting as though your not sure what the 15 year rule essentially does: Take exactly $5k compliancing cost off the end 'landed' price, not to mention the money you save by not having to pay to get exhausts taken off/replaced etc for compliancing. Consider that if you import a '94 model GTR, it will cost 27k landed including compliancing.. how hard it is to understand that a 89 model with the same amount of low km's will cost 3-5k less in japan, and save you 5k+ compliancing costs? So with a 30k budget we import said 89 gtr in for 20k, and look at spending the left over amount on the following: COSMETIC: momo steering wheel: $300 momo gear shift: $150 interior upholstered in leather OR full body respray: $2500 r33/r34 gtr seats: $2000 = $4,095 allowance MECHANICAL: - replace brakes, tyres, clutch, gearbox, fuel pump, air filters, turbos, air pump etc as needed/required. (dont be an idiot and think 'you cant get all that for 10 grand.. some of this stuff will have already been replaced or still in good condition) - new oil, new plugs etc '100,000km service' = $5,050 allowance If you where not concerned about the cars looks you could replace most major mechanical parts bar the engine for $10k. The whole basis of my point is if you only buy the 89 model with a strong, healthy engine that has not been used much in its life, the other aspects of the car are irrelevant because with the money you save they can be replaced and improved.
  21. r32impul: read my post above.
  22. I would rather import the highest quality 89 GTR money can by in as close to stock condition as possible (around $19.5k landed). If I can find one with around 60,000kms and the interior, condition and tidiness to back it up: I could then spend the 10k I SAVE restoring that baby back to BRAND SPANKING NEW. I'd probably have some spare change left over for some basic mods as well. You cant tell me that that would not be better than a model a few years younger (93-94) for the same money.
  23. Well I've sent my well written letter in, and not just pointing out reasons why NOT to abolish the 15 year rule, but to loosen restrictions and regulations currently on the RAWS scheme regarding the importation of newer cars from japan.
  24. No, my problem is not with the removal of the 15 year rule, but the governments attitude towards greys as a whole. Any kind of rule changes restricting imports = bad. Safety is great, but SEVS is ridiculous. Having to 'take your car back to stock' for compliance and then swapping all the parts back, ridiculous. We all drive these cars yet nobody seems to do anything when the government restricts us from our hobby and our passion.
