  1. I definately recommend steering clear of Street Machines. I am 21 and I own two cash-flo positive investment properties and I am certainly capable of affording a GTR. When I went there they treated me like a 17 year old kid out of ipswich who couldnt afford to put petrol in his cortina. I dont understand those guys, they wouldnt even let me take the car for a test drive. Not to mention the asking price on that red GTR is enormous. Do your homework and seriously consider importing your own GTR. I could import a nice 1996 v-spec II for the mid 30k figure, any colour you like with no accident history and low km's. Not to mention that that GTR has been sitting in the lot for the last 6 months and when your buying it the profit margin they are making on you is enough to pay for 5 sales people, a manager, the lots rent and various other expenses.
  2. Hey Guys, Sorry its not actually a Skyline question, but my new Pulsar GTiR I've imported has arrived and i'm hunting a GtiR original steering wheel, as well as a stock nissan calsonic catback exhaust system for the compliancing. I actually live in QLD so i'm not too sure who to call down there.. (car gets sent up after its all complete, we have no compliance plates for gtirs up here...) If anyone could recommend a place for me to call I would be very appreciative. It seems all the pulsar forums are full of idiots who own standard australian delivered pulsars bragging about the last hyundai excel they beat at the lights..
  3. gtrman: I have seen the odd 92 gtr for sale in the paper with over 100,000kms for around the $27k mark in brisbane.
  4. All around they are very good, quite exclusive and incredibly busy-always booked out. My only gripe is that they are a little precious-for example if your car is there overnight for a few days they generally dont keep you updated on the cars situation until its fixed, all done and ready to go. The logic behind this is they get more work done and dont spend all day on the phone to customers.. pretty good guys, but I'm assuming you dont get too much special attention unless you drive in with a Ferrari or AMG.
  5. I actually own an 13 second silvia k's, but post here regularly because I have imported a few skylines and intend on purchasing a GTR in the near future. My hobbies include bagging the shit out of GTR pretenders and tasteless ricing I also have a Pulsar GTiR arriving soon.. Anyone here driven one of those?
  6. Not to mention when the R32 GTR came out everybody was still getting over the shell shock of paying over $100k for a Datsun.
  7. You'll find a R32 GTR for under 30k.. beats the hell out of a r33 gtst
  8. FM: my bad; I meant r33 drivers driving '93 models saying 'r32s are too old' a '95 r32 GTR is definately sounding good right about now. The last one I saw for sale was almost $32,000 in Japan.

    A'PEXi AVCR

NismoGirl where can I buy an AVCR for 672.669 AUD ?
  10. Hey Guys, Who here takes their car to C&C in Deshon St at Woolloongabba? I've been taking mine there for about 3 years now.. Any Positive/Negative experiences you would like to share?
  11. Exactly right guys. Go for a job with high pay so you can support your expensive hobby-modifying your performance machine.
  12. Kind of like a hot dog bun in a weiner factory..
  13. For the record I never said there was more skylines than commodores, Nor did I say the R33 was ugly! Nor did I say everyone should be driving S13s! I dont really hate the GTS-t, its just the weakest link in the skyline performance family. NOT the GTR variant. I was driving around in an R33 GTR in 1998.. Thats back when they cost 90k and even gts-t's where too expensive to bring in, and the niche market certainly wasnt the under 25 crowd. What where you guys driving back then? Had most of you heard of the r33 back then? Those where the days.. not a skyline to be seen. Clear, open roads.. most v8 drivers not knowing what the hell a GTR was.. even WRX drivers would get a little ****y at the lights. I'm partial to the R32. For those who say the "R32 is too old now" who are driving around in '93 GTST's.. did you know that the r32 was continued until '94, and some where registered as late as 1995? that makes the car under 10 years old and you can find many fine GTR examples in japan with less than 35,000kms on the clock. Of course they cost as much as an r33 GTR
  14. Thats why I'm glad we have you around Rezz To set the record straight and to help us try to keep uneducated Bogans out of Nissans.
  15. Hey I wasnt saying my S13 is any better either.. the model is just as guilty of being packed full of kids. Feel free to bag the shit out of the series, particularly the q's drivers. Fact of the matter is though I havent been beaten by a GTST yet.. and theres a LOT more r33's in my area than silvias. So you could say my car is 'hated' a lot more than r33s And the interior? last r33 I drove didnt have digital climate control and HUD that where not aftermarket? Whatever Agreed, when I do come across another Silvia driver its usually a Q's owner and any non sr20det silvia is not even worth a mention, so keep your pants on! R33's.. the guy down my street has one, theres two parked in the driveway up my street.. theres always 5 or 6 at the shopping center.. and they ALL drive like dickheads! and not just while i'm driving my car either. My car was getting some work done to it for a week so I borrowed my friends grocery getter for the week.. they all hoon past you and tail gate you because your in a slow car that cant accelerate very quickly Of course you guys dont do that do you? And from where I'm from the guys hang their arm all the way out the window and down the door!! - its all perspective. But yes, my little debadged silvia sleeper is going to be sold soon to be replaced with a GTR or a R34 GTT. So you can call me a hypocrite.. heh.
  16. R33's still beat the piss out of any locally driven car. The fact its a Nissan means it holds bootloads of credibility and I would argue for it vs most locally delivered cars at a dinner party. Theres just too many on the road filled with kids. I saw one yesterday with the 'commodore arm' hanging out the window. PEOPLE-please keep your arms inside your Nissans.
  17. I hate the R33 because theres too many gtst's of them around on the roads with drivers thinking they are behind the wheel of a GTR. the GTST really is nothing special
  18. As the guy said in that movie, the castle.. Tell him he's Dreamin' !
  19. Wow justin, I remember welcoming you to the board not so long ago when you where still new to the world of Skylines looking at the R34 Tiptronics.. I remember suggesting to you to do just that and research more into the skylines and look at the earlier model GTR's. I must admit it makes me proud to read that post and see someone take such a positive learning curve and ending up with the ultimate street racing machine of all time parked in their garage. Kudos my man!
  20. Not to mention suspension, drivetrain, 4wd system, computer system, internal gauges and dials.. no comparison really Kind of like the difference between a BMW 318i and a BMW M3.. the only similarity might be the BMW badge. Maybe instead of listing the difference we should list the similarities.. we'd be here for less time as the list of things they share is quite short
  21. Hey Guys, I am importing a Pulsar GTiR and i'm chasing up info on the car online.. was wondering if there where any other good forums like this one about the topic.
  22. flaming peices of wool! I bet they dont have that in the Fast & Furious 3 script..
  23. You guys are missing the main point. Resale. Value. You can spend up on mods making your GTSt go as fast as a GTR, but at the end of the day you wont get your money back. At least if you buy a GTR it will hold its value quite well, plus you'll get a lot more road respect than being in a pimped up GTST like the 5 other people sitting waiting for the traffic lights to go green.
