I agree completely with JimX. Ever since a skip truck decided to merge into me as I was cruising along, and smashed up the whole side of my car, almost killing me in the process, i've always sped past trucks and never stayed in anyones blind spot longer than I have to. I wasnt even in this guys blind spot, he was just a bloody idiot. His excuse to his supervisor was "The car was so low, and it was black!"

power to weight.. how lame.

45.. It had better be a 1994 V-Spec with like 20,000 genuine km's on the clock. I would just personally import a close-as-possible to stock standard '92-94 v-spec from Japan.. You will have to wait a few months but you should save yourself about $15k.

I'd say the guys who own all these cars are the 3 Mobile customer service people... $#@*())(FD*(#

Steven: What Sly33 said. I'd say the reason you got smoked by a GTS25 is because you bought an Auto. Real men have a Manual .. Or or orr!

yeah all the jobbies in the USA are conversions as well.

The government is like someone making a joke, and even though the joke is funny, the person saying the joke is an idiot, so it just isnt funny no matter what way you look at it. It amazes me that a police officer has a right to search your car because he has a feeling you might be storing drugs.. or he has a suspicion your car may be ""defective"" (also known by car enthusiasts as upgrades) Before you know it we'll be 'patted down' on every corner and in shopping centers randomly for drugs and weapons by police.

There are a few left hand drive GTR's in the USA that have also been converted.. I'd say this would be one of the only GTR's in India

You sure you have a turbo dude?
-
my pipe is mild steel coated in black as well.. the exhaust is stainless. turbo to the tip
-
yeah.. what the hell is a QR20VET? It sounds like a turbo variation of the X-trail engine..
-
yeah and the hiflow cat.. I dont understand how it was so cheap either.. but I havent driven in another s13 or heard another s13 with a better sounding exhaust than mine yet
-
I paid $1400 for a 3" straight through turbo-to-tip exhaust system including dump pimp and standard 3" straight through stainless muffler. this price included lowering onto king springs and new 'Greenstuff' brakes all around. My exhaust system sounds smooth and tough. One of the places I called up quoted me 2.7k for the system.. what the?

Need Gold color code of an R34
pentae replied to Devilish240's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I saw on a website somewhere that Gold IS indeed a factory colour! -
Yeah I have mixed emotions about Carlos. He DID put Nissan into profitability.. but I still feel the most AWESOME cars Nissan released where definately the 89-94 series of cars.. the Original S13's, R32's, 300ZX's.. Let's face it guys, the 180SX, the R32 GTR, the 300ZX twin turbo.. and lets not forget, my car.. the Silvia K's, (the original silvia) the quiet legend. There where some very very clever people working for Nissan who did the R&D, and mechanical work for these production lines. The rest have been tamed and commercialised IMO. Not that theres anything wrong with that.. but these cars just seem very 'raw' in comparison to the newer models. I like that. I truly think these cars will be Classics like the old Monaro's and sh*t. Rezz: can you show us the CG pics?

How much is the r32 Vspec? man i'd definately buy that as long as its under 30,000. Keep the rest of the money you save to 'freshen' the car up with a really good service. replace the water pump, fuel pump.. etc. I'm glad you respect the r32 compared to the r33 It's my personal preference. See my thread 'Gtr's: r32 vs r33'

Yeah in the split millisecond decision of whether to hit the dog or slam the brakes.. only a professional driver who is paying full attention would hit the dog. It's in our instinct to slam the brakes or swerve for a poor stupid dog.. your one lucky mother.

Hey Boostzor, I can understand this.. defamatory laws can be harsh. But stating cold hard facts WITHOUT comment or opinion is not defamatory.. Is this allowed? Ie "Took car to such and such, they charged us $613.12 for download time over the internet and did not complete the job."

150 in a 50 zone is crazy With these types of cars I can understand 90-100 after flooring it through first & second.. but 150, you must have been really trying to rack up a lot of speed. oh well.. i've done crazy shit in the past before as well. I was just lucky enough not to get caught.

Yet none of us have the balls, inclination or motivation to take a stand against this. Talking on forums doesnt help the situation, writing letters to politicians is a good start. I think Wheels Magazine did a 'revenue raising is bullshit' issue a few years ago, that included a form letter for all its readers to send to their local MP. It had absolutely no effect whatsoever. The government is scamming us.
-
Err, of course the technology exists.. when you go through a speed camera van and it takes your photo, the photos are taken back to a lab and the images are scanned automatically and your number plate is pulled out by a computer.. the fine is then issued.. I don't think a police officer is even involved in most instances, its all automatic. Our Country contains more car enthusiasts than any other in the world, and it's government also makes more revenue from speeding offences per capita than any other Country in the world (that includes the USA) Something needs to be done to stop revenue raising in the name of safety. To Quote the article "Speed was a factor" .. Speed is a factor in ANY ACCIDENT according to a police report, because for an accident to happen two cars have to be travelling at a speed inappropriate for the accident to occur in the first place. SPEEDING being a factor in an accident is not being above the speed limit, but an inappropriate speed for a given situation. Aka TOTAL BULLSH*T.

What did you drive when you were 'L'??
pentae replied to kor_gtr32's topic in General Automotive Discussion
The problem with learning to drive in new, good cars and imports is that you don't appreciate them. It's when you learn to drive in a $500 peice of junk that you can TRULY appreciate the beautiful cars we drive. -
R33 imports and winding back odo's
pentae replied to zymotic's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
My Silvia came in with 60,000 on the odometer.. it was wound back because every time the car reaches 69,999 it rolls back over to 60,000 again. It doesnt bother me because i've had the car for almost two years and it was in excellent condition when i bought it and i've had absolutely no major problems with the car. -
I'm sure many of you have seen this site, but I am posting it for the benefit of newer members. http://www.jbskyline.net/R34/GTR/

pentae replied to SS8_Gohan's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
As soon as I can import an r34 gtr and have it on the road for under 60k (maybe in a year) I will be stepping up to the plate. Such a good car.
