  1. heh.. I saw a pic of a black r32 with r34 rims the other day.. looked very tuff.

Yeah it does seem too good to be true.
  3. http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsales/!cs_content.dealer_vehicle?vehicle_id=1464729&current_rec=6&total_rec=6&sort_type=1&make_id=5&model_id=73&keyword=gtr&state_id=-1&search_distance=50 Only problem: - It's Red - It's in WA
  4. Ahhh, Thanks for the clarification. The chevy engine was mentioned.. and well.. I just think putting anything chevy related into a japanese purebred like a Skyline is just plain wrong. Yeah, 'v6' was a typo, after typing v8 a few times. What I should have written was '6cyl' turbo.. You know what I meant. I suppose your right, if you can source a tight little jap v8 engine that is far cheaper.. it DOES sound like an interesting project. Keep it all Nissan (VH41-DE, VH45-DE...) and it's not so bad after all. But a chev donk..?
  5. I'm just curious, but why don't you guys just go out and buy V8 Soarers, or Holdens/Fords if you love your v8's so much? Or does it just go to show that the bogan community has finally broken down our gates and the boofhead "my engine is bigger" mentality is reining amongst import lovers because all of you have sold your old commodores and bought skylines instead? I remember a few years ago Skylines had class.. they where like graceful daemons roaming the roads. Now every bogan has sold his cortina, falcadore and gone and bought an import. Or is this just a commitment made by those of you who own skyline GTST's? Wouldnt you just get a GTR instead? Why do you want to introduce foreign hardware into your beautiful nissans? Not flaming, just amazed at the amount of positive enthusiasm towards the v8 donk. I thought v6 turbo boys where always meant to be against the v8 crowd?
  6. hmm $50-60k for a New HSV? Just think about the kind of GTR R33 you could get for that money and compare it to the HSV. I think the interior of the HSV would be a lot nicer, and probably a lot easier to sell and insure.. and get you HUGE respect amongst the bogan community, which unfortunately makes up most of the Australian population it seems. And if you still feel nervous, ask him what his repayments are
  7. My S13 Silvia has HICAS. It just improves the cars handling a bit, but has no effect if you want to drift. The amount the wheel turns is less than 2 degrees
  8. These cars bring out the best in all of us
  9. I agree. "Test Driving" a GTR for some people is more exhilerating than a rollercoaster ride at an amusement park. I imagine selling a GTR can be a real pain in the ass.
  10. now is the time to take it to another mechanic for a second opinion, just double check that these guys arent just milking you like a cow.
  11. theres not many people in the 10 year old used car market with $30k-40k to spend I would imagine.. all the GTR's i've seen at car yards have ALWAYS taken months to sell.. 3 months sounds like it moved fairly quickly
  12. true.. but the GTR won't be called the "V35" its being branded seperately as a GTR.. and dropping any conontations with skyline. Good job Nissan! I bet those kids will still figure out how to kit a v35 into a r35 gtr though...
  13. true.. who gives a rats ass about the v35? its a family car.
  14. ohhh okay of course. get the S15 for sure, or get an R34 gtst
  15. Nicely spotted there 2fardown! I think GTR bodykits on GTST's looks great, but I always think its incredibly try hard, and disrespectful to real GTR's.. it also drags down the opinion, looks and 'rarity' of the real gtr's roaming the roads. Every second GTST has a GTR kit.. If I had a GTST and was not happy with how it looks, I'd get a unique kit, not a GTR copy so I could look like every other skyline on the road. When I see a skyline drive past heres my opinion.. GTST with no kit, but big fmic, performance mods etc.. cool. GTR kits on GTST - a bit lame GTR kits with GTR badging on GTST - super lame! throw a brick.. GTR.. omfg that is teh shit
  16. Oh, and I voted for the S15.. now if it was a decision between the S15 and the R34 gtst.. that would be a very tough choice.
  17. Sorry to burst your bubble but the R33 is not the 'present skyline'.. the R34 is.. it costs between $35-$45k and the model start was born in 1998 or 99.
  18. Yeah and here I was thinking all this time that both Nissan and Mitsubishi's where jap cars! stupid me
  19. Get an Sr20det s13 silvia.. it will cost you less and haul ass. And while you're at it go and ask the guys over at www.pandablue.com/nissansilvia what they think. Imo s14's are ugly.
  20. Not to mention a BOV, with a neon kit will give you 50kw extra at the wheels! phwoah. sick mate sick.
