Probation

from my experience, i got yellowd and work ordered, i had a 2.25" on a freekin lancer, the cop pulled me over cos i turned my neons off, he said my exhaust is too loud, and that my neons arent regulation ones... my exhaust failed, blew 102decibals, i got a temporary silencer put in, ran over the pits and passed. the pod filter isnt illegal, its only defectable if it isnt secured down to something, the wiring needs to be also secured, and in some kind of hosing, to get passed the wiring part i just ripped it all out (only neons and spotties anyways) the only reason the spoiler would have any problems is if it does not have an eye level brake light, if you have one on the inside of your car your fine. when i did get the sticker the license guy went through everything, i didnt get the RWC cos my rolling diameter was out by a shit load, (had 17s fitted to it, came with 13s).

the way i see it, the cop shouldnt be able to do anything unless he seen you, or has proof that you were doing it, reason being, imagine your on a cruise, you stop off at say hillaries or something, your all sitting around chilling, some idiot decides he wants to look hard spinning his tyres, your just an innocent by stander, watching, you cant exactly tell him not to do it, and your car gets taken, imagine the feeling of getting your car taken off you for some other idiots wrong doing..

one of my mates who just finished doing an evo 5 transplant into a ce mirage had these hoops to jump through too, the lucky thing for him was, in his state its funded by the government or sumthin, and he only had to pay a couple of hundred dollars, if you ship your car to the eastern states to get the emissions test done im sure that would work out cheaper?

cheers spiral, im thinking R34 at the moment, either that or an r33 GTR, will probs go for the r34, dunno how my driving skills would cope with a GTR lol. but yeah will be doing extensive research untill that dream day comes along, i love r34s so bad, even though they yell out mean things to my beastie lancer when they drive past =)

Hi guys, im looking into buying a skyline in the next couple of months, and was wondering, from your experience what was the most reliable one to go with? i was looking at getting either an r33, or if i could afford, an r34. cheers
