Actually this one wasnt spring steel like the original .after taking the console off (maybe the long/wrong) way i was able to shape the wire like a V and wedge it in the clip. anyway its now all done but the button was hard to clasp. I think it was a little shorter than the original and alot thicker due to the real leather, not leatherette used.... Dazza

Guys I bought those leather boots for the gearshift, handbrake & arm rest and I have replaced 2 of them but cant see how to do the handbrake one. Any ideas? Darren

Guys just need some advice as to how much everyone has payed for the following... An R33 GTST s2 water pump? (Is $105 for a protex variety a good price?) An R33 GTST s2 cam belt? (is $90 for a Gates T1040 R32 R33 R34 GTST GTR belt a good price?) Regards, Dazza

ah ha... cool david. I firstly would love a dyno to see what I am looking at with the present setup. I dont plan getting an aftermarket ecu or increase the boost at all as it goes hard enough and i will be daily driving it as it is. I do plan on getting another muffler put in as I want to be legal with noise & EPA and i plan on putting the standard airbox back in if i can (depending on fmic piping.(you may know if this is possible without cutting it up?) So once this is done then possibly a tune.. I dont think its had a major service done so I suppoes this in lieue of the tune (above).. I dont want an animal of a car so any advice would be appreciated and your so close its not funny... any advice would be appreciated as well Dave.... Dazza

Paulr33 thanks for the heads up for what to expect down the track Fatgts-r you absolutely right in what you say but i said it did have an aftermaket ecu but that has been removed and how the hell do you tell if the turbo has been hiflowed, metal turbine when it within the same housing .yeah i know i should got a test performed but i fell into the mistake of letting my heart take over my mind.. he is chasing up the receipt for the turbo though so eventually one way or another i will find out but it definatley goes harder than a stocky with just exhaust/pod/fmic etc. anyway i do appreciate your comments none the less and thanks... he apparently used to have a mofified ecu but I beleive evrything has been put back to standard except for the exhaust (not sure what brand but is 3" , pod filter and ?modified turbo? I does smell rich when running but I am not sure as if this is the case with every large bore exhaust? with regards to a 1- standard service 2- major service 3- dyno any idea what the breakdown on cost would be if thats all that is performed.... Guys I am looking at getting a tune (1st time) as I will pick up my 96 r33 probably next weekend. I want to make sure that its been tuned properly from the 1st time I drive irelevent from the previous owners tuneup. I would like to know the rwkw so a dyno would be great but I have no idea of what these cost? Now this car has a 3' exhaust & pod filter (which i want back to original) and suposedly a slightly bigger standard high flow turbo running 10psi? (how can i tell if this is true??) I live in Cranbourne so anywhere in the dandenong/frankston area would be fine i guess. Can you guys suggest some places & prices? oh another thing is that I dont beleive its had the timing belt done either and its at 103k km, so what would be the price of doing this as well? Guys I am not sure what its called but I am in the procees of getting an r33 S2 which appears to have the front bar with the extra added on underneath (like a 2 part) . Now i am not sure which one this is as I am pretty much a noob at skylines but needless to say my question is regarding the inside wheel arch. there are normally like platic shrouds that go on the inside above the wheels but on this car i dont see any of them on the front but there are rear ones ie: if you look toward the front of the car thru the wheel arch its empyt and you see right to the front bar... Now is this normal? (even legal?) can these be bought and what are their names? sorry for the dim questions but hopefully you guys can set me straight. Oh and I am in melb SE Thanks in advance. It was a bit pricey though at 15k but modded nice and very straight & clean... Oh well looking looking lokking ..where are they? not sure about a private purchase as of the unknown factor, any ideas?
