  1. no prob's Scott, Have driven over 100k's now still no problems or reoccurance. You open to a visitor tommorow? Darren
  2. I limped home and went and saw my neighbour whos a mechanic. I thought maybe an air leak at first or dirty fuel, I suspected fuel at first but it didnt matter what gear you were in even neutral & revving it it wouldnt go past 2000rpm. I started to think my ecu with is a z32 with nistune was causing it. Anyway i started the car up with the mechanicunder the bonnet and it wasnt doing it anymore.. WTF? So i am at a loss what caused it and I have since driven 40k's or so no problems. I do have an existing problem with my idle revving highr somethimes upto 2000rpm so it may be a sympton of this maybe I dont know... Darren
  3. guys, just filled up with petrol and when pulling out the car wouldnt rev past 2000 revs & splutters up & down. I have no idea whats causing it , have you ideas what to do as I cant drive it like this having to start off in 2nd gear and change before 2k Darren
  4. So what do you do if the cogs wheel is split as I turn all both mine and the dont do squat. light are still aiming at the stars.....
  5. i had the same problem with a yellow jacket as well less than one month from performance wise. asked me to send that coil back and I said I had nothing to replace it with and in good faith (after many emails) they sent another box of 6 so I could send back my originals to them... In the end good service.. Dazza
  6. Actually i am not sure if they did the wet test ... maybe Manny from CHasers could shed some light on this? Dazza. Stao , Might take you up on the offer to check the turbo though.....
  7. I would of thought that valve stems would blow more smoke at startup (Pease correct me if i am wrong though). What are you looking at in cost to get the valve stems fixed? Dazza
  8. Guys , Just had the above 2 tests performed on my car so i thought i would post up the results online to get some sort of feedback.. Compression Leakdown % CYL1 135 PSI -- 15% CYL2 145 PSI -- 11% CYL3 135 PSI -- 27% CYL4 135 PSI -- 24% CYL5 140 PSI -- 16% CYL6 140 PSI -- 13% Cylinder 3 & 4 had higher % leakage indicating? valves etc The reason for these tests are that i am blowing a bit of smoke under WOT (using oil) so I am trying to eliminate certian things. My Turbo is an SS1PU Hypergear so is less than 6 months old so maybe oils seals who knows. Please provide any feedback you can... Cheers Dazza

  10. Guys, How about starting another thread "For Clutches" as this is starting to hijack the Hypergear Turbo thread..... Dont get me wrong (its all interesting as I will need one soon so i am whatching what is said) but its getting a little off topic for poor Stao & his fantastic turbo's.... Just a heads up ok dont want to put any nose's out of joint so to speak.... Dazza
