  3. Sarge, ATR32sspu was installed on saturday with 3 inch hard pipe made from Scotty-nm35 (great job of the intake mind you) and the car is presently being tuned today after z32afm & 660 injectors being installed. So I am itching to take it for a spin and hoping to have a high / low setings with the boost 15PSI actuator for low and somewhere arouns 20-21PSI with high I hope... Darren
  4. whats the optimum bosst level of the ATR43SSPU turbo people are running. i have a 15PSI actuator and will use this as the low setting in my dual stage boost controller but am unsure about the high setting. looking back in this thread I seem to notice between 21-25 PSi. Does this seem right? What are you guys that have this turbo running? Cheers , Darren

  6. Guys I am just wondering what & how many diferent types of grills for the R33. Guys if you have pic's please pot them as well. Regards, Darren
  7. no problems, post a pic so we can all see..... Dazza
  8. Just a quick question. What its the generic width of the front mount intercooler pipe on a R33Gtst. Need to order some silicon joiners quickly... Cheers Dazza
  9. Actually i used a jigsaw then just filed it smooth and araldyted the tin flashing as it soft as and you can bend it concavely to the curvature of the intercooler pipe. Its very easy. I was only concerned with if i was losing too much air from the intake. its actually isnt that much though. Give it a go. its not hard and I am not very handy & its didnt turn out too bad... Dazza
  10. Just cut the back of the snorkle with a hacksaw and then used some roof flashing from bunnings as it is very plyable. (like lead) and the used araldyte to stick it. Not really that hard as I am not that skilled..... Dazza
  11. This is my mod for the airbox............ Regards, Dazza
  12. Guys what would I be looking at in $$'s & time to get the following work done... Install a Hypergear turbo, z32 AFM, Injectors, modify inlet (metal insert) pipe & remap my Nistune? Regards, Dazza
  13. Thats interesting that you say there is an increase with Penrite 10w-40 fully synthetic . I just did mine a week ago and ran the Liquid moly oil flush in first for 10-15mins to get rid of all the carbon build up & grime and used the exact same oil now it reads about 7on the stock gauge when cold starting but goes down to around 4 on the gauge once warm.... I thought i may of put too much oil in at first but i dont think so? Dazza
  14. has anyone gone a spare "genuine" z32 AFM for sale? Regards, Darren
  15. Just a have a quick question as to what the cost would be to perform a retune... Now its an unopened 96 r33 gtst but fresh motor & presently has a 3”exhaust, front mount, yellow jacket coils, standard by hiflowed turbo running a Nistune ecu with Bosh 040 fuel pump. I was looking at Staos atr43ss-1 PU etc and I have some yet to be used 550 fuel injectors. Baically i would like to get a rough idea what the cost of a retune including fitment of the injectors & turbo. Also needed would be a hard induction pipe I was hoping for a realistic 260-280rwkw as my tune presently got dyno’ed on a SAu dyno day at Knoxfield only getting 162rwkw. I cant seem to see whay I achieve such a low power rating when I have a highflow running @ 18psi with the Nistune ecu when other standard cars with standard turbos getting at least 180rwkw. Regards, Darren
  16. JPCr33, Yeah I know what you mean as I emailed him last week with no reply. my do the sms thingy now.... Dazza
  17. cheers Paul, thanks for the heads up... I often wonder about ebay copies and I would love to know what the green maxes out on though. would be an interested experiment has any members bought something like this "a fake" and got some real testing from it like what was on Pauls URL above with maxe rekw & voltages? 18. ***************Just an update from forum from Nistune guys****************** Quote I always get datacorruption issues on the test car How do you know for sure its data corruption? Did you read back the maps andthey were all spiky or did the ECU stop running? These are the indicators thatsomething is corrupt, otherwise there is a different issue. I have to have achat to Trentabout this one Quote data in it gets changedquite so often, I'm not sure if that causes the issue. Shouldnt cause the issue. If unsure read back the maps which were originally init and compare what was saved on your laptop after burning the tune Quote The Z32 ECU and nistunechip on R33GTST just didn't work probably on my cars. Which it's also thereason trentstopped doing those. The main problem with using a Z32 ECU on an RB25DET is the knock sensors. Z32ECUs use the doughnut SR20 style knock sensors and RB25DET use the hose typeknock sensors. I suspect there is more sensitivity and your ECU is jumping toknock maps We normally recommend disabling knock feedback during tuning for this reason. Also Nistune software will now indicate which maps it is running from at anytime. Boards dont lose their tune once a burn is performed as its stored toEEPROM. Justa follow up. Found out that Pete did the install and was supplied with a 16 bitZ32 ECU We officially only support (and have tested base maps) for the 8 bit models forRB25. Part numbers listed in our documents for 8 bit models should assist withfinding correct units We have not used 16 bit models so haven't got experience with these but fromwhat Trentindicated there are issues with these ones as well as a glitch found with VEmap RPM tracing (fixed in 0.10.9 software release) www.N I ST U N E .com
  19. Thanks guys, actually I am not sure what sticker is even on mine. might have to duck outside and have a gander. Anyway i was aiming around the 250-280rwkw with Hyypergears ATR43 SS1.5 so i guess i will need one. Just out of interest are the the same physical specs as a stock gtst one as in would the mounting holes match up to the standard airbox. I need everything to look as much as standard as possible.... Ps: I forgot to ask, has anyone seen the aftermaket z32's on ebay (brand new)? any thoughts... for example....... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110559548059&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT Regards, Dazza
  20. Nar its what Stao's from Hypergear is saying based on his GTST test turbo car. he mentioned that with all the remaps "possibly" the r33 with a z32 ecu has bugs or something and it take longe to/if fix with Trent and he says he dosnt want to do these anymore? I just hope he reconsiders as I am in the process of an ATR43 SS1.5, injectors etc and need it tuned soon...(weeks) Dazza
  21. Just trying to work out who would you guys/gals reccomend to perform a tune after I get a new turbo in the South East Melbourne.? I belive that Trent (Chequered Tuning) wont be doing them anymore........... I am nearly at the stage of doing the mods but cant if I cannot get a reputable tuner to remap my tune... Regards, Darren
  22. So are you saying that Trent won't tune my car now that I have Nistune & an r33 on a z32 ecu? Nooooooo..... Darren
