  1. Dunno it just sees. Like it must be restricted somewhere...just wondering if between the big cams and turbo it just can't breathe.put stock cams in what happens??. Maybe its a blocked cat
  2. Was Initially a suspension safety check...i then replaced front ball joints, tie rodz and lca bushes and with driftworks bushes.. Followed by a full alignment... Seems settings are ok and it drives try so I won't worry... Some extra toe at rear and swaybars should make it a little more stable..then i need a diff What size sways work best on the r33?
  3. thanks Jez Will give it a go...and if there isn't?? I didnt think it would start if ecu was dead I'm wondering if it's that fuel pump controller box under the back seat but don't see why it would burn out unless its because she changed stereo without disconnecting a battery..there was also a strange noise coming from the back of the engine somewhere I couldn't pin point that went away...it was something electronic though
  4. yeah I was using adaptronic before it was cool. But seriously top.ecu, built in boost control and map sensor all works good..flex fuel capable with a sensor or just have dual map switching which is as simple as a switch on the dash to flick to e85...as well as a bunch of other cool stuff like launch/traction control and boost by gear Pretty good value and a great entry level ecu...
  5. Man I have exact same issue...got me stumped for a while...it had issues with startup that were played with on the weekend and it made a big difference to the cold start especially ,that I would say it's no longer an issue.. But soon as I drive it and pull up at traffic lights ,bang 2000rpm...drops and bounces between 1-1.5 then after 30seconds or so of this it drops to normal.idle...problem is sometimes it will take minutes before it settles and you get funny looks from cars beside you as the revs bounce around....I'm just waiting for a cop to pull up and ask wtf is going on with my car... it probably does this 90% of the time and it seems to be more pronounced on e85...on pulp it is rarely an issue but still happens..As you say it only happens after a drive too..if I start the car on the spot the idle is usually fine..drive 20mtres clutch in and there it is again... For a while I noticed that if I would start the car let it warm then disconnect the aac top plug it would be fine. (Though this is not something you want to do everytime you drive). But after a while this bandaid solution fell off anyway and it was hunting yet again.. I am running an Adaptronic with inbuilt MAP fwiw Suggestions have been made around latency issues or a return to idle issue, but I'm still not convinced its just not something mechanical..
  6. I'm with Anthony...whats wrong with regular vacume hose??. cable tie or clamp it for extra protection and it should meet your needs...
  7. Has it had much/any head work Jas?
  8. Its a big turbo with a 4 inch intake pipe that will take up a bit of room.. it might be doable but would be a tight fit i imagine..theres a few pics in this thread to show you how big the intake is...
  9. i forgot your a suspension guru Hank.. it seems to handle pretty well, i throw it into corners often when I think im going to fast and it always holds on..R comps tyres do help somwhat I guess..it only squirrels around when they get hot
  10. it was mostly just a check after a bingle to make sure it was all true but im pretty sure adjustments were made as well . the camber wear isnt a concern as It only does a few thousand kms a year.. happy to have it set for performance as long as its still comfortable to street I think the front castor came from fitment of lower control arm bushes, I have adjustable castor rod bushes as well but not installed yet rear toe is something I thought was usually set a degree or so inwards too so may get that done It drives straight as an arrow so no concerns there either...Im just thinking just a set of sway bars and i will leave it as is...
  11. Ok having same issue after removing stereo...no fuel..fuses all check out and if I hard wire it the pumps works...still doesn't explain why it doesn't work otherwise...only thing I can figure is somethinto do with the alarm having a fuel cut that's blown a fuse or something but all fixes on alarm are ok too...
  12. here is a printout of my last suspension check from pedders...pretty sure he just set everything for general usage..which is all it gets with the occasional track day I dont really have any adjustable stuff other than toe..I have some adjustablke fornt castor bushges but never installed them...it Just has a set of bilstein shocks/springs , it sits fairly low at the front especially.. does everything else look ok or does it look seriously out of whack?? I mean there is a degree of camber missing at the front left and a few opther thigns slightly out but I assume not enough to make a difference..i any thing I should look into..??
  13. Either way that red line looks like the bomb..
  14. cmon.....That t67 result has to be pulp man....even my little td06 has more torque than that...
  15. yeah a small budget laptop is the easiest way...even a tablet may work if you want to get tricky its not too hard to install a small incar computer that runs though a screen built into your dash that can also double as a gps and stereo/tv if you want....permanent monitoring
  16. IMO Disco if you want better driveability, first thing you should do is get the best injectors you can if you haven't already get IDs or something similar to start with...they are the game changers in this department.. Everybody knows the PFC is a more than capable unit, regardless of this though newer ECUS are just as good, if not better and put simply they often have more options.. So it doesn't always matter if you need them or not cause new toys are always cool.. So enough with the politics...a vipec would make a great xmas pressie.. Yeah but everybody has laptops these days, back in 1990s they weren't so common so the hand controller may have been more a necessity.. We have computers now that are smaller than a PFC hand controller and I believe some ecus even have android/apple apps already ... if not yet, they will soon...
  17. cool yeah not a performance thing Its just ease of fitment..
  18. those bumper lights always looked to me like they are upside down...if you were to flip them 180 degrees so the wedge was on the outside and on the bottom it would flow much better with the headlights..Nissan design fault i guess
  19. Just wondering how that big compressor will go fouling the manifold..does it need a big spacer ?? Could you make one with a 3 inch Vband rear instead of that silly nissan design or would it need a seperate WG hole? . Lol...this pops up every 6 months or so doesn't it
  20. nice ..what car was that in.. on e85 it should piss in 300kw, Scott did that in the auto whale with half a litre less and a hiflow ..lol you should crack 400kw easy with that monster turbo.....
  21. what manifold is it sitting on??
  22. oh ma gaawd he actually looks like a potato
  23. Is that chow mein...
  24. oh...whats wrong, you sound angry ?
