  1. haha...same , though i do have a small shed on the opposite side of the house to the carport...Of course the quickest way from the shed to the carport is through the house so.all my tools, car parts and mud from my shoes get left somewhere in the middle....
  2. yeah cant say I ever listen to my radio anymore either... i would take it out but then there would be a hole in my dash...
  3. MAC Solenoid cost me 50$ IAT cost me 40$ So in a nutshell, there really is no difference/benefits between running either MAF or MAP on your average 'line..other than maybe saving a few bucks So what about big HP applications then, what are they running ??
  4. yes i know most dont have an endless budget but if there is only a small difference like a couple of hundred its hardly a concern in the big scheme of things.. also after your 1450, if you still need a boost controller theres another 3-500$ gone...where alot of the newer ones have all these features inbuilt yes but we already solved this for less than 50$ with an IAT sensor... what are the signs of a failing map sensor...bit of a worry considering mines inbuilt to the ecu...
  5. ok those threads you linked speak of PFCs for 860$..I hve never seen a new PFC anywhere near that, usually double... but lets put it a different way...If I was to have an ECU that is both MAP and MAF compatible...forgetting about costs....which would you choose and why??
  6. how so...does running an AIT sensor compensate for this?
  7. With all the ecus these days available running MAP...Is there benefits to still running AFMs...cause if there is I dont see them...MAP seems like a much more affordable and just as reliable option..as far as I know most new turbo cars run MAP as well now... Why would people still be suggesting upgraded AFMS when the cost of them can be better put towards a better quality ECU.. Anyway I dont know much about these things so....Learn me something ..........
  8. sounds crazy...like a spaceship....
  9. another t67?
  10. People just read what they expect to hear.. I got good service and now I have a powerful car.. but you can't argue with a closed mind..
  11. Scotty has 2 garages and still parks outside..i have a carport at least though my skyline resides in a tent... I think only rich people put cars in garages the rest of us just put our junk in there
  12. Man is there usually so many events in a row or is it just this time of year.. Don't think the finance dept will see me at this one unfortunately..
  13. Track days are the only time I has a garage..
  14. so who's doing your fabrication?..
  15. I'm not keen on it on stock manifold setup. Cause I know how much of a f**k around it is to setup.. Its not that I am against it , but there is far easier ways to get the same result.. Anyway its Ron, its never gunna happen anyway.
  16. The water lines are junk that I will replace asap..the gaskets I didnt even use..welding a gate on the housing and a proper plumback is going to set you back around 500 easily... Look I'm not saying I don't like my setup, its great..but it's simply not worth the effort when you could mount a garret In Your driveway in a weekend and get a better result..even a HG is a better option.. 1 big expense Vs a lot of little ones..you choose.
  17. Either way, I gaurentee it would be making much the same with IG..
  18. Yeah, it is cheaper but cost isn't everything results is what's Important.. I have said this all before but lookong at MickO and silvers2 results, if I had to do it again that's the way I would go..I am only talking about lowmount stock manifolds though..for hi-mount its kandos all the way .
  19. You obviously don't k ow how much I have had to spend on fabrication do you Ron.. Yes the Gtx would have been a few hundred more, bit the setup would be much simpler so I wouldn't be relying on alot of welding..and it makes more power..win Win
  20. Its internal gate that's the beauty..the amount. Of messin about I have gone through to make my kando fit and its struggling after 300kws..this is a much easier option.. But hey, I like to keep my local fabricators busy.
  21. Why struggle for 280 when u can bolt on an IG gtx and easy crank out 300
  22. Did you try shaving down the metal o-rings that sit in the intake manifold? There's a few mm to be gained there as well..
  23. Nice work Mark...after all my stuffing around I wish I had of just gone with an internal gated Gtx...
  24. No they are completely different runner layout...hence my post on the first page...why no rb25 option ...
