  4. how bad is the stock gauge, i mean mine seems to work fairly well..I can easily notice differences in oils as the gauge behaves differently.. Speaking of which, ideally where should the gauge sit on a healthy motor??.. lately mine sits at about 3/4 line on throttle, then on idle slowly drops back to half..never goes under that i have noticed. i changed to a 10/50...before it was a 5/40 and seemed to drop alot more quickly on idle and not get so high unless pushed hard... Anyway, is it just normal behaviour and nothing to worry about or should I change back ??? Im tempted to put standard nissan oil in it just to see how it behaves...

  8. thats reassuring, funny how peoples on here that have never even used e85 have a million problems with it (yeah im looking at you jas ) and those that are using it.......Have None.. get your car working man i want to go for a cruise with you when mines working You have a car

  10. Think you will find that's a gtx 3076 with twin scroll ..
  11. Btw...have clutch now, have been quoted 350 for fitment which is fair and can get it done next week...dont have time to do it myself lately so may as well just do this.. Plus I saved heaps on the clutch so have a little left over... Question is, do I need to gets some ks on the clutch before it goes on the dyno.?
  12. Is there anything you don't have laying around Roy.. Nah I was concerned at Trent saying it would top out at 300kw.. I forget that of course was a pulp result.. I don't see any reason why it shouldn't smash 330 on e85.. So, my goal only being 280-300 do i use e85 and keep the boost low or just stick with trusty old pulp and 18 psi. everything i see and hear tells me e85 is far superior all round...

And yes apologies to all for not just going topmount as I know it would have yielded more definitive results...hindsight says I should have..just another stuff up in a list of many..:SBut I don't believe the stock manifold is an issue here as I know of a few running 350 on it..it may not be considered safe and is far from ideal, but it can be done...
  14. Yeah guys I think Trent still thinks it's an 8cm.. I did tell him it was 10cm but it was a long time ago and he has alot on his mind.
  15. but its the same size housing as the T67 10cm?? 300kw is far more than I know what to do with anyway, just hoping I can pickup my lost midrange really.. If I can do that and run a solid 280 @ 16-17 psi its a damn good result IMO;Bragging rights are always cool tho.
  16. Yup yeah I got no idea, i dont quite understand VCT well enough to know how much difference it should make but it does seem a bit too much.. Jez is also top mount, which usually will helps spool a little earlier doesnt it...

  18. Yeah I reckon it could get very close.. Clutch should hold out alright though..for a while anyway, long as your not flogging its guts out all the time
  19. With with all the vct issues, is it a nistune thing or something else.. Makes a fair difference by the look if things.. With the lighter flywheel I'm putting in, will that help bring the revs up quicker in road?
