  1. U talking about my car again rolls
  2. Bummer thats a pain though teething issues are to be expected.. Do they have the same looking nozzles ? Edit..lol, I paid 100$ each for stock sr20 NA injectors advertised as 740 nismos..best mistake I ever made
  3. Its worse than that, they're failing youtube
  4. ya leave one word out and look what happens...f*kin internets...
  5. lols...tell the truth you googled that.. crank hp is what I was suggesting,(probably should have stated) I guess you failed the mind reading class 20yrs ago when boosted turbos and dynos werent so common, if you had a 400+hp street car you were the man... It is still enough for a very quik car but people seem to lose sight of that...
  6. personally for daily cars I dont think you can go wrong with any of the penrite range these days..
  7. this thread sux btw...can we kill it now surprised Ash didnt kill it for being ridiculous, lets get it to the wasteland
  8. Also comparing 250kw (thats well over 400hp btw) on a road with potholes and telephone poles and all sorts of other scary shit that can and will kill you or somebody close to you very very quickly and unexpectedly.. To having 250kw on a controlled skidpan, dragstrip or racetrack is again comparing apples with oranges..
  9. Yeah even mechanics use Stud Doctor, show what a shitty job it is.. I'm thinking I might get someone else to put my clutch in..pain in the ass doing it in the driveway..last time I did it the gearbox dropped on mates hand, he got numerous stitches
  10. since getting my new injectors I have seen the light here as well.. while a good turbo will make the power, a proper fuel system is just as, if not more crucial to a good overall "efficient" tune
  11. hey rondofj can u try one on a hybrid manifold, looks like doris car is sorted damnit I mean YAY!!!
  12. yeah gate on manifold should be fine, it was just removing the splitter I was unsure on,,but as it turns out its still there anyway...so my point was proven invalid already.. secretly I was just trying to talk him into the hybrid topmount though cause I want to see how it goes..
  13. Yep me too. but still 450 isn't a bad price to pay..is that just labour or parts as well..stud removal alone cost me 120 inc new studs..then all the little bits like gasket goo add up..but once your done u have an arsenal of tools that makes it much easier second time around and the lessons learnt on self diagnosis are priceless..
  14. Oh.. should work ok then..plenty have done it before
  15. I would think taking that centre bit out of the manifold is a bad idea. because the turbo isn't centered you have 4 cylinders of pressure on one side pushing against 2 from the other makes for uneven flow pattern. If it turns out to be the culprit piss it off and get a hybrid topmoumt I'm dying to see how well it would work Failing that my guess is you have fuel delivery issues, but it's just a guess..
  16. Lol..you want secret squirrels talk to Roy.. every mod I have made is well documented in this forum, just depends how much you pay attention to my ramblings. I think I know the reason it has worked so well, apart from Trent who I took it to on a trailer and he had it running and tuned in, under an hour, awesome stuff, And scottnm35 who always puts the extra effort into tuning my whack ideas into metal
  17. if you didn't want to do it yourself...yes
  18. I already know G3 can make more power than I will
  19. Maybe 25psi and 8k so Simon stops waving his black cock in my face quote only metaphorically
  20. Sorry no black cocks allowed
  21. ahh yes, efficiency...I must say this td06 feels alot more efficient than my old hiflow, though I feel my new fuel system has alot to do with this as well. But it all just works, it does the same thing all the time and doesnt run out of puff, it does it with much less effort than my old turbo too, then on gate it all just gets a little crazy, should be mental with .5 bar more boost and e85, I think thats when I will be wishing I had top mounted it ......I did play around with rolling starts, found boost coming in after 3500 but before 4000 most of the time..which is about normal for any rb25 really.. Anyway I have no idea what yours will behave like all I know is mine feels pretty damn quik already, I think maybe when my gate cracks it will be bye bye birdy ,then again you will probably have better traction with that fancy diff of yours..will be interesting.. So whenever your ready just hit me up, if I do lose I can blame my slipping clutch or my low boost
  22. woah...awesome vid..
  23. thats the thing alot of standard cats are absolute rubbish and fall apart ..so there is alot of newish cars running around catless, pretty sure the guts fell out of our honda about 6 months ago, for a while there was a rattling noise we couldnt locate that eventually just dissapeared.. ratchet spanners are your friend here...I didnt have any when I did it, people were telling me I would have to take the bonnet off and jack my engine up etc. But I just did it the old fashioned way, that is, a quarter turn at a time.. Though I find it easiest to work on the engine with the car up on stands or a jack, saves your back a whole lot of grief
