  1. Kewl...Trent if you could tune my car to fall somewhere in the middle of those 2..I will be like this fingers crossed it all works ok this time..
  2. No cause a standard ev14 is a different injector..but The way I understand it, IDs are just bosch injectors, however they mill down the ends to look something like this Kind of like highflowing them really..then they add a pretty coloured adapter so they look special and a flow report to make the customer feel at ease, but mostly its just to make sure they haven't f**ked up when they milled them... I dunno, maybe they commissioned bosch to make a batch with a certain part number, doesnt make them any different internally that i know of.. The Xspurts are exactly the same thing (well I hope so, cause thats why I bought em) but made locally. These may be what other people are selling and calling them IDs, because thats what the customers want to hear. I mean ,everybody has heard of IDs they have a solid reputation but whats an Xspurt..There may even be others doing this as well, Im sure I have seen similar for sale online..But why buy from OS when you can get the same if not better deal on the same part right here..the only thing different is the name.. Anyways thats my theory, Happy to stand corrected.. PS pretty sure I saw your car gohan, in Dingley yesterday, doin the speed limit with about 400 cars full of mums with kids trying to overtake you...lol
  3. far as I know these are identical to IDs they will fit straight in with the supplied adapter.. thats the pretty coloured bit you see on top.. http://www.injectorsonline.com/indivprod.php?cid=106&scid=40
  4. WOW that run, 9.2 @ 150mph with the powerglide was crazy...what 60ft?? maybe you should get a bigger intercooler though
  5. Something like this this stuff yeah..cant be too hard to mount it.. http://www.thermalvelocity.com.au/Heat-Shields/Vulcan-Heat-Shield-/p-113-475/ Black Caliper paint comes up real good, needs no base coat..Did mine the other day..
  6. crossover pipe is awesome man, and if its held up this long maybe there is hope for mine yet
  7. are they 55mm?? with the 40mm it fits sooo easily, with 55mm I think you need modded shorter spacers and it is still a rel tight fit anything bigger and your dreamin..
  8. my intakes all aluminium..hence all the lobster, the weight savings are enormous as for the gate pipe, we didnt have any mandrel 2 inch and didnt care I dont mind cause when I put it all together you cant see shit anyways.. yeah thats right, I still have my stock snorkel bitches.... unfortunately though my crossover pipe is like 1mm thick rubbsih aluminium, welds sure to snap oneday.. Just need a cover for the gate and dumps now...prolly give some of that heat shield shit a go too..or maybe just some aluminum plate i dunno.. Hey Roy your gay ass old setup looks alright man Love that TB pipe..whats the dud pipe on the intake with a cap on it?? But wait... No CAI box, Isn't that illegal...You'll be sucking in hot air man, this may cause you to lose power and stuff. Arent you handicapped enough with an RB20 .
  9. Turns out 'InjectorsOnline' had it after all. I just had to be patient and wait for him to get back to me, Something I am not real good at Oh yeah heres a pic of my XSpurts Torques, bit different to yours hey..how many cc are yours?? Look how cute they are , believe it or not they're also available in 2000cc in this size..
  10. I like Roy, hes good for laughs....kind of like RB20s hey battery was that you on frankston dandy rd today, with the black bonnet and the large whooooosh noises
  11. Bahahaha...yeah you can ask me...Scot pretty much dared me to get one and said if I did he would too..true to his word he did..then wished he hadnt...lol Also little did he know my car was wrecked at the time..I think if you actually saw how much work I have done in the last 6-7 months, including fixing the wreck, rebushing my front end and installing the new turbo and ancillaries. All under a tarp in my backyard on sunny and occasionally even rainy days with nothing much more than a bag of tools, a 20$ jack from autobahn** and a skeleton budget. Inbetween working 50+ hr weeks and entertaining one kid whilst making another one.. you would of thought twice about asking such a ignorant question.. I think I've done alright all things considered...anyways peace.. ** I bought a new jack the other day, not only can I jack the car up in one go now, but this one doesn't slowly fall back down on me after 2 minutes....
  12. yeah I was thinking of welding it too ....waiting for Glenn to get back to me.. Speed parts said they could get it but might take a few days..Apparently im not the first with this problem.....lol
  13. nah have adaptronic now..it can flex fuel... when i get around to it..
  14. just make your top feeds fit man..
  15. My guess is gates too big, (or maybe too soft) losing too much booost when it cracks..... and you need bigger injectors ..but thats irrelevant to your case
  16. ferk me well i been to a couple of bolt shops and a speed shop and nobody has the right size bolt/grub screw i neeed..from what I can tell its a 9/16 UNF.. I do have a fitting for it thats too long, so looks like I will have to tap a thread through the fitting put a grub screw through the fitting then grind it off flat..should work ok..
  17. yeah its tight alright... yeah kitto rails are identical..go back a page there is one for 99$..
  18. I will probably plumb it in eventually
  19. ^^^LOL you build it on a poor man with kids budget and get back to me on that.... Yeah i forget the gate venting seperatly..should be fine E85 or BP98 is the only choice I have to make actually...cant make up my mind on that..both a are plentiful but I do like to go for long drives.. Plus if I tune for 98 I still have something to look forward to later..But yeah, really undecided still.. Trents gunna tune it for me..
  20. Mines all ready to go..all I need is a silicon joiner for the turbo outlet (which is on its way) and a bung for an unwanted hole in my fuel rail...then put it all together properly..everything has been test fitted.. Scotty likes to lobster, I like to let him.....Screamer is close to the dump, maybe I should poke it through the bonnet I need to plug my adaptronic in and attempt to rough tune it..but this can be done on my laptop..then hopefully I can fire it up this weekend
  21. heres some piccys for you to have a gawk at... how she sits.. I gave the intake pipe a scrub, then painted it black.. And the dumps, dumps into a twin HKS pipe, Scotty doesnt like my design, he wanted to build me a whole pipe but i reckon it will work alright, if it doesnt I guess he will get his way .. some things I have wondered should I have done differently...maybe 3.5 inch dump..and tempted to just stick a 4 inch intake pipe with pod as well...not sure if there is much to be gained though
  22. they are disc type, from what I can figure they just drill out the 4 small holes into 1 big hole. Infact i beleive even the ID injectors just do this with a bosch base.. but it seems newer injectors tend not to lose their spray pattern when doing it unlike the older style..maybe there is more to it I dunno So I would think he is just leaving a bar down the middle when he drills them to split the spray..toyota JZ style sidefeed injectors are a twin hole injector, the theory behind it is that it sprays a seperate stream to each valve..How well this works in an RB I dont know..But I wouldnt expect miracles.. I thought you were going for topfeed anyway?
