  1. as far as i know the only reason to plug your EBC into the top of your wastegate is that it will put pressure on the valve which will effectively double your boost pressure..handy if you run out of spring pressure but want more boost....Do you want that??
  2. does flex fuel too
  3. Yeah thats the puppy i want...tempted to palm of my PFC for one... Its the one HG sells with the turbos isnt it..Is there a plugin loom for skylines? or is it this one im thinking of http://adaptronic.com.au/products/selectpnp.html
  4. and speed ensity tuning is?
  5. yeah adaptronic and HG hiflow is a ripper deal
  6. fixed
  7. despite my efforts many seem to doubt how good the little Mazda ute is.. So thought I would post this for lols if nothing else..Enjoy TRS- Mazda BT50 Tandem wins 2010 Drifts Championships MANILA, Philippines – It was initially a novelty for being the first in the world, a diesel powered double cab drift pick up. It started in 2009 when Tuason Racing School (TRS) ventured into the newest craze in motorsports, Drifting. TRS took the next step with Mazda Philippines using the BT-50 4×4 pick-up truck with a 3.0 Di Turbo Diesel Engine, supported by Castrol Edge, Goodyear Philippines, Standard Insurance, Coke Zero, K&N air filters, Oakley, Rota Wheels, Starbright body kits, Ultra Racing, OMP, Aguila, Dupont, Runstop motors, media partners C! Magazine and Businessworld. TRS did some testing and consultations with some car tuners and decided to move forward with the project. With the help of Audel Sison of Autocraft (One of the top pro-drifters of the country), many days and lots of time on R&D had taken place, TRS lowered the pick up to as low as it could go then they put on 18” Rota Wheels with Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric Tires. For the engine modifications, Sidney Ang and Ferman Lao of Speedlab were the ones who took the lead and installed a Unichip, a bigger intercooler, piping’s, and Devil’s own alcohol injection which brought up the power to 170 Wheel Horsepower which is pretty good for a diesel truck. A 3-inch exhaust system and roll cage with the help of Fremuff Performance Exhausts. On the first year, it had performed to surprising feats by qualifying up into the top 4. Come 2010, the competition got fiercer with more high-powered vehicles joining. With Mike Tuason and Bjorn Ongtiabok at the helm, the TRS team has dominated the 6 races making the pick up truck not just a novelty but more of a serious competitor. With the introduction of the Clark International Speedway as a new venue, the team thought the pick up would have a hard time getting to the speeds needed in a high speed drift venue, but it turned out to be a blessing. The pick up with its new modifications garnered an entry speed of 98 kph before going sideways. Mike Tuason and Bjorn Ongtiabok finished 1st and 2nd overall in the National Pro-AM Drift series. The TRS drivers were consistent podium finishers this year taking 3 1st place finishes this year. “From the beginning, we knew this project was going to be technically challenging. In the span of 1.5 years we have taken a stock pick-up and made it a championship winning drift vehicle. Even I’m impressed,” said TRS president JP Tuason. http://www.philstar.com/Article.aspx?articleId=609985&publicationSubCategoryId=72 So to stop it form getting to boring post up some mini trucks...
  8. I got mine for 600$..just saw one sell on ebay under 500$.. Its your best bet for R33
  9. oops soory...i didnt mean the tray..lol i meant their 2wd trays are pretty ordinary..i would probably prefer a rodeo actually ..it is more comfortable, quicker and looks a damn sight better as well... And yes toyotas DIESELS are great (the petrols are definately nothing special) its a premium you pay for. Lets face it if you are in the market for a cheap runabout tradie ute your not wanted to spend lots.. toyota and nissan have made a name for their tough quality diesel 4wds, they have big drivelines and high ride height..this doesnt mean they offer the best small utes.. if its an older diesel your after you may be right..but if its a newer diesel you want u cant go past the BT50 for quality and value... If its a cheap reliable petrol or LPG runabout over 5 years old your after you really cant go past the courier/ bravo range or old faithful falcon ute.. Again it really depends how much the rodeo is...if its dirt cheap buy it, ZI know at least one guy with 500;000kms on his..its a V6 though...
  10. nissan trays are shit...and toyotas are overly expensive while its true Toyota and nissan are the names to get if your after a 4wd... LCVs are a different story
  11. all That said though the diesel rodeo or isuzu dmax as the rest of the world knows it, is the biggest selling ute in the world..
  12. yeah if your not carrying any great loads just a toolbox or 2 go for a lpg falcon...much more comfy good on fuel and parts are dirt cheap... However if you are hauling lots of equipment the rodeo style will carry more cause of the longer wheelbase.. All depends how good a deal you are getting i suppose..I work for a courier mob mate and no one is driving rodeos..mostly mazda and fords are the most reliable....the rodeos ok but there is better ..
  13. penrite make good oils...oil flushes are good to do when changing oil types..
  14. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/160464-trust-greddy-plenum-on-r34/
  15. oh ..fair enough...nice work..lol....!!!
  16. doesnt it say twin turbo on the intake pipe ??
  17. I think something that seems to me is often forgotten, while a smaller rear housing will help to acheive some extra ( minimal) response.. it will also help to contribute to high EGTs..so while it may be ok for a quick lap or 1/4 mile, wont it start getting to hot after prolonged high rpm in tur robbing you of power...completely self defeating its purpose in the long run.. Even on GCG website it states as a basic rule of thumb 2L use .63 2.5 usse .82 3L + can use 1.06 makes sense that there is no use having extra flow if you cant disperse it quickly enough
  18. but now you will need a bigger turbo..
  19. yeah i guess...but its 30psi man....that shit should have u on the moon
  20. you sure you dont have other issues to deal with first though..like maybe your manifolds.. i think there is more to be squeezed from your current setup with some extra flow.. You are pumping silly boost into it now but its not making more..i would have expected closer to 350kw on 30psi e85, especially with that mammoth rear housing... I don think the turbo is the problem atm...even if you put a bigger one on you will be restricted to much the same power your already at and you would probably just lose some response as well.. i'd be trying squeeze more out of what you got first, then as a last resort upgrading to the 3076 core as it can bolt up to your tial rear and should pump out an extra 50kw or so..
  21. while i agree about the PR campaign and that the new garrets are nothing revolutionary, just a case of malibu stacey with a new hat...Im not convinced there is no market for them I beleive some new cars, (in particular the new mazda range comes to mind) are loving them..However I will try back this up with facts before I make a stand
  22. I beleive the article disco posted the other day explained it very well.. The GTX turbos are aimed at newer engines that are running 16psi from factory and so require higher boost levels to push more power...16psi was alot for a skyline in the day to make decnt power.. i suppose for newer engines being more efficient with better flow characteristics, losing the bit of response in a turbo isnt a big deal as the newer engnes can compensate for this.. But having the ability to flow well at 30 psi is more important.... So yeah maybe your skyline is better off with the old tech turbos that were designed for the engines of its time
  23. damnit Whatever happened to good old fashioned succumbing to peer pressure
