meanwhile if they didnt advertise everywhere that the police wont be handing out fines people would be less likely to misbehave..But of course now we will get people that think its a great time to break the law and we will all get hit harder later because of it..

not much use using good brands if its burning oil.. edge and helix are ok for the money ..id try one of them first..get a 10-40 do an oil change and keep an eye on it, if it burns oil then get a thicker 10-60 oil..if it doesnt burn oil then stick with a 10-40 or dont worry and just put a 10-60 in it..
-
its the wheels dude ...get some fat dished blue rims and it will be all better .. dunno if Im gunna make it up or not..have weekend before at gold coast booked for supercabs..but will try really hard...
-
running low on oil is not good, if its running low you probably have bigger problems to worry about ...so just just get anything 10-40..ask the guy at the shop they will tell you..then if it burns through it too quickly try a thicker oil..like 10-60 castrol edge or something

see heres a pic of mine old tech 3076 comp with the modified .64 skyline rear.. i can smash the pedal in any gear at anytime and it goes hard compared to stock you can almost see by the size of it its going to choke..It is still very quick on the street with full boost 19psi around 3500 and the small housing does give great response it drops to about 17psi by 6500rpm though, as do most IG and once you get in the upper rev range over say 5500rpm it just isn't as exciting as it should be. Its making around 240kw @ 19psi which is alot of boost for not much result, but it is an old tech compressor. A new GTX one would make more but not much, 260 maybe, tangles makes 250kw ,if i played around with cams and gears etc it might make more, but I'm not going to bother as its easier to just swap it completely.. its still good fun and very driveable on the street with stock like response. The bit of extra lag it does have helps stop it form stepping out or losing traction to early, so its actually quite well balanced in an unbalanced kind of way I was speaking to AVO and they said they still sell plenty of their housings so someone must like them.. They are not ideal though and you dont really save alot of money doing it.. so i wouldnt recomend it..

When did I ever say get your ECU tuned..I didnt..all I was implying was that he get the car checked out after changing things..so stop trying to act intelligent, you hear what you want to hear and act like somehow your a friggin wizard..but you still have offered nothing in the way of advice for this guy.... I did run 185kw for years without problem through a stock cooler..fyi i have 240kw that was built by me and tuned by status now and should have more soon as i get this new turbo in..GTST has sorted nothing and neither have you..other than your a couple of jerkoffs sorry buddy was just trying to offer simple advice but smart asses with nothing better to do like to come in and act superior to people they dont even know..when I said "a quik tune never hurts" what i probably should of said was go for a quik dyno run to check the state of your tune and performance of your car.. i never meant you should retune you ecu which is totally possible, but to retune your stock ECU it will cost you about 500$ and isnt really worth it in your situation.. but apparently Im an idiot who has no clue according to these geniuses that surround us If you dont believe the stock ECU can be tuned just type "TOSHI" into the search bar mate there is plenty of info there... -

No, i'm Chuck Norris -
yeah 50$ is 50$...plus the steam pipe I have is 40mm so i will bigger pipe as well..the TS comp 40 gate is allso more compact than the tial...
-
well i thìnk you could be wrong. Too much gate will release too much pressure upon opening and cause boost drop..if you have an EBC it will quickly compensate for this but if you dont the pressure is gone and wont come back till the gate closes again.. You need the correct size gate to release the correct amount of flow to maintain boost...which is why i was undecided between 40 and 44mm as I dont know how much power this turbo will make on stock mnifold.. Was presuming 260 to 280 but some are saying it will make quite a bit more.. Plus the 40mm gate is 330 the 44mm is 380 so Im with snozzle on price being a factor...but 44mm tial comes with 7 different springs so I will get that so i wont need an EBC

I can tune my suspension but it doesnt have an ECU I can tune my radio, again no ECU I can tune a guitar it also has no ECU and yes I can tune my skyline to some extent without touching the ECU.. And as tilksie said you CAN remap a stock ECU which is tuning it are you trying to tell me I should not adjust my timing idle or spark plug gap on my skyline, because all have been adjusted at some point or another..shit should I change them all back to stock Now OP obviously has limited knowledge here and all I was implying is that he has his car checked out by a professional after changing things like boost and filters. At no point did I suggest he change his timing I was just making a point that other things can be tuned not just the ECU.... when you put a pod on the the BOV air mixes with the turbo reverb and causes somewhat of a flutter noise when you back off, no it isnt Hektik BOV flutter but it is a flutter noise none the less.. But you know it all numskulls come in here with your tiny ewang in your hand and your limited knowledge of bullshit and try to belittle me.. . bring it on fags Ive had a shit week and Im just in the mood for your BS.. -

ARTZ replied to Craigy B's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
screw you hippy....my car ran 11psi thru a stock cooler and a pod and quite happily made 185kws all day everyday for years and it used to flutter when I lifted off so how am I no where ?? Maybe it is you that has no knowledge as you have offered nothing in the form of opinion other than to disagree with me.. So get outta my face -

ARTZ replied to Craigy B's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
what do you mean it cant be tuned..you can still adjust timing and idle without an ECU and you can gap your spark plugs..that is tuning... Not that you should need to but it doesnt hurt to have it checked.. Maybe Ideally I should of said go get a dynorun but who cares.. On the street the stock cooler is adequate as long as your not driving around on redline..it is also more responsive and what noise does a BOV make..flutter and with a pod you will hear it more so yes it will flutter a bit just by adding a pod..mine did.. Your gay tonight Mad go ride your bike... -
yes i do know about timing chains Marc i just didnt expect a new toyota to have one..I didnt know sr20s did either actually..so you did teach me something new but not much I think rather have 8 gtrs than 1 veyron...

yeah it will sound cool..it will roar when you go, and flutter a little when you back off.. -
that sounds like it might be the .73 AVO housing...

i just want one

toyota are the best/cheapest to service..they dont even have 100k timing belt changes.. R35 is a budget supercar these days not the souped up sport saloon it used to be..So in comparison to the cars it can beat I'd say the servicing isnt too bad.. I do deliveries for a euro wrecker on occasion..dropped of a used BMW thermo fan the other day..460$..there was nothing special about it.. Also dropped of an ECU for a Ferrari dealership a while back receipt said 5500$..i asked what is was for..he said the clutch...lol..
