chances of getting it done for 500 are slim.. i predict at least 1k and ALOT of stuffing around.. Now considering you can get a 3076 for around 1 to 1.5k second hand that will bolt straight up to a 2.5 with minimal fuss, it will be much easier to work on and diagnose should any problems arise and it would probably kill your crazy setup ..sure it is something different and original but so is the gay mardigra and we dont go there cool thread though..

I reckon it would work fine as I was considering the same at one stage..You dont strike me as the sort of guy to be getting your turbo super hot sitting on redline for any extended periods of time (or am I mistaken) so it shouldn't have to much trouble keeping your intake temps under control..If you were sliding it around a track all day I'd consider something bigger though. Although remembering efficiency is just as important as size, those little GKtech coolers seem to do a good job on the 2lts and its not very big at all..I would think a stock supra cooler would be fairly efficient.

So if I wanted to run probably around 21psi max through a turbo with HKS gate with only a manual boost controller.. It only has a 7psi spring I think, im not sure how to check without it being hooked up yet but Im doubtful it will be up to the task I looked around online and only springs I could find from HKS was a 11-14psi or a 15-19psi.. Which would be best, or am i going about it all wrong?

yeah i tried this a few year back, paid a buck extra, didnt work, didnt get my buck back either..lol ..I did have unpaid fines from over 10 years ago and to my knowledge the points never came off, I also received a red light camera in QLD which I paid but never lost any points.. Whats even odder is I got pulled over a while ago for allegedly being on my phone (which I wasnt), he checked my license out and says that I have 13 demerit points he also stated I had no loss of license , even he didnt know why.. I later checked with Vicroads and their system says otherwise.. He was then nice enough to not fine me for not being on my phone, which was nice of him there is no doubt many loopholes in the system though, but you will usually only find them by accident and they are constantly being rectified

well I would think that means your doing them up to tight wouldnt u? Also are you putting them on dry or wet, smear a little oil around the seal and half fill it with oil before you put it on.. Anyway, I guess some people just dont get it, which is why they make filters with little nuts.. i dont see why anyone would use a semi synth 4100 when you can get a full synth 8100 for about the same price .. is it because its called turbolight people think its better for turbos

well considering filter is only meant to be hand tight I would think its pretty pointless just like changing your sump plug washer..dont overtighten things in the first place and you wont have any problems

you can remove them but then dirt and mud gets stuck in all sorts of places it shouldnt.. if you take the wheel off and look where it scrapes it is just a little lump on the inner guard lining..get a heat gun and heat it then push it in so it doesnt stick out and this should stop most of your scraping..

well nissan would be the most likely place for the filter.. repco have motul so does autobahn.. Get the 8100, i just use a ryco filter but whatever u choose.

yeah they would, and the extra clearance makes them great for gravel backroads or driving over gutters etc..
