thats it exactly Rolls, you can put a LS1 in a mazda but you wouldnt put a rotor in commodore

mate your the one trying to tell OP that to beat a commodore he needs to buy a rotary.

For a start i never said anything about towing.. And if your beloved rotisserie is so good show me one skyline with a rotary in it cause I have already seen heaps with V8s..I have seen plenty of mazdas with SRs RBs JzS and v8s as well.. OP listen to this guy and stick a rotor in your skyline mate, its the only way you will beat a commo

ok well the ones I have known had issues but they were older non injected ones..anyway not denying the rotary as a performer, but I dont think they are any better than a well setup 8. And aside from traffic light races what else is it good for, a V8 can be use for a variety of purposes in just about anycar of any weight..a rotary is fast in a lightweight car and is good for nothing else.. Also a brand new V8 crate engine is about 6k as well and is easily replalced or fixed at any mechanic anywhere, your rotary f**ks up anywhere other than a major city and your stuck shipping parts everywhere.. The rx7 is awesome but that is all...a V8 makes any car awesome and im sorry if this offends you but anyone that denies the LS chev engine its glory is more of a knuckledragger than those they claim to be superior to..

haha bang for buck on the streets v8s will always rule the lands ..they just work.... Doesnt mean you cant beat them now and then for kicks though ....lol

find me one 300kw rotary mazda for under 5k Rolls..I bet you cant.. i dont know where you guys get your info from but Rotarys are ridiculously expensive to rebuild and maintain.in fact the only good thing about them is they are fast and light everything else about them sux.. An LS engine with a big single in an ol torana or early commodore will do low 10s and possibly 9s and can be built for 10k...in fact you could build a 10sec r33 skyline for 10k these days if your smart..

and there it is.. Try take off smooth, then ride the torque/power curve and you should get better times trick is to let the car do what it wants to do, not force it to do what you think it should do. yeah as I said it would be a less than ideal way to do it..but say for instance you had a blown PFC and couldnt afford a new one..but you have your tune on file an old ecu laying around and remaps are only a few hundred bucks, it could just be enough to get you going again..

that was sort of what I was thinking, I believe Toshi does remaps to order, as in send him your specs and ecu and he sends it back tuned.. Which I would think is a less than perfect way to tune a car but..Surely if you gave him your previous tune data he could read it and mimic it so the tune should be close to spot on..

Bit off topic but I was just wondering, if I gave my tune from my PFC to someone that remaps stock ecus could they put my PFC tune onto a stock ecu??

nistune doesnt fit r33 ecu man...so you need another coupla hund for a z32 ecu if u can find one..but dont bother just start saving for a PFC and a turbo..in the meantime .. Copper plugs gapped at .8 3 inch bellmouth dump from just jap 200$ cooling pro return flow cooler from just jap 450$ decat or hiflow cat...?? Good tuner and a dyno run 150$ maybe it wont make alot more power but it will free up your rev range and feel more lively. And NOS 2 of the big ones..

by higher speeds you mean anything over 200km, anything under that you'll b fine..
