  1. and the wiring around it, could be anywhere really.. if a wire has rubbed through somewhere and is rubbing on metal, sometimes the earth points can rust up too not sure if this would cause dimming though..
  2. must have a short somewhere, did you check all the wiring for cracks or rubbing
  3. yeah dont mind me Im just a povo poor kent that buys ebay turbos.. 3071 should make more power than the gtrs which only makes about 250-260 doesnt it, still awesome quik though..personally I wouldn't worry too much and just buy one of these 2 cause even if you do find a second hand 2835 if it has a cracked housing or something your screwed.. I have seen a couple of 2835 for sale here for 1000-1500 but very few and far between..
  4. are the bulbs the same as the left ones?
  5. the pads can be quite abrasive on plastics and no doubt rubbers too.. I polished my ute with them for practice and didnt mask it up..I ended up with fine scratches in some of my plastic chrome work ..also it has an unpainted black plastic bumper that has some swirls marks in it now that I cant seem to clean out....good thing I practiced on my work ute hey On a side not these polishers are GREAT at cleaning up yellowing headlights..Dont ever sand your headlights with sandpaper, get someone with a polisher to do it and they come out looking brand new without scratches that sandpaper leaves..I think i just used a power gloss and a power finish, ..wiped them down with windex and coated them with proper UV sealant..wish I had taken before photos but heres a quik pik. I imagine Antonia (or any more qualified detailer) may have different advice and the pads I used were probably a bit to abrasive a really soft one would be better ,but it worked really well for my old lights which were yellow as any..
  6. the missu and I kept having an argument over fuel in her honda, i kept telling her to put bp ultimate in it but she doesnt want to listen and keeps putting 91 or e10 cause its cheap and aparently all the same, so i made her do a little test.. Filled it up run till the light come on.. BP ultimate 550 kms on i think was 55l.. E10 did about 450km for the 55l... With the price difference in the 2 km per dollar was almost identical didnt bother testing 91 yet. Cause i dont use it but i will do that test next for curiosity sake but i expect to get around 500km But it just goes to show there is no reason not to run premium fuels as the extra mileage makes up for the extra cost and buying a fuel on price alone is naive.. i actually prefer to run e10 in her car for its cleansing properties but if I take a long trip I use Ultimate for the extra mileage...but it really doesnt matter..I would use BP all the time cause it definately makes more power but that means argueing with a woman so I settle for e10, i dont drive the thing so who cares Of course these tests have nothing to do with power..for power In my 33 I believe BP ultimate is the best but I do like Vpower as well it feels snappier and more livelyy under throttle though probably not as fast as BP..
  7. yeah its just a price issue.. suspected as much, in my cars i run 93 skyline gtst...130km....motul 8100...5:40 04 accord ...155km...peak ecosyn 5:30 ( no reason just thought id try it ) bt59 TD...80km....penrite hpr 5 semi syn....5:40.. All cars had a 5:30 from factory and all are in GC so I think having a lightweight oil on startup is beneficial to a start and go lifestyle..though none get pushed hard until oil is warm..the skyline and the ute get worked the hardest so I supply a little extra protection up top.. But when to change, is there a point in a cars lifecycle when you go ok its time to put a thicker oil in it, or should i just keep running what the factory ordered?
  8. Is that the best you got? you must be one of those brokeback mountain cowboys
  9. it wasnt a sooky topic at all I was merely trying to find out if it was possible to seek compensation if a dealer fault had destroyed your car..i got my answer I didnt like it but I let it go.. A week later you come back to kick a man while hes down.. Nobody is trying to shift blame at all, with the information provided to me I originally thought it was their fault and let it go when i realize otherwise.. The only one trying shift blame now is you trying to blame me for your whiney little rants..
  10. you guys are f**ked seriously, let it go already..the guy who owns the ute doesnt care less..the only one who did care was me when i misunderstood that obviously it wasnt chamged cause he didnt want to pay to have it changed..I asked him if they changed it and he said NO..but he didnt tell me that was his choice, when i asked him a few days later (after creating this thread) if they had asked him about it he stated they wanted heaps to change it and avoided the subject so it is his fault and he hasnt complained about it at all and the only reason I have is because i wasnt given all the facts and given the dodgey work I have seen from dealerships it definately seemed possible to me at the time Anyway I stated a week ago it was a dead issue so "Harden up" and stop carrying on like a bunch of old ladies..
  11. lol..yeah probably, just got a quote for a 120k service and they want 1000$, at 240k they would want it again. So thats 2k. It cost him 2.5 k to get it fixed @ 220km so he hasnt lost out much at all and as a bonus he now he has a fresh head on his engine as well...seen a bursons ute in a mechanics the other day, same problem so even bursons arent log book servicing their work cars..i sense a trend here, Still thread was interesting to see that even if dealership did f**k up they are not necessarily liable for it..
  12. yeah compressor wheel looks tiny hey..should spin up like lightning but is it gunna move enough air and hold out for good numbers. thinking 260 might be pushing it
  13. yeah I wanted a sticker too might have to make some up hey will E85 if I get the chance.. see how it goes first..

  22. well yes you will have to find out what size your turbine wheel is..if its gt30 it will be 60mm but if it gt35 it will be 68mm do you have a serial number off the core
  23. is it a gt30 core?
