i used to turn a few mm of the ends up on a fork, just use 2 prongs and bend the rest back.. and you can use it to pull the clip out..works well for those old window winders as well

you can drive out of a corner in the wet and nail the throttle in a FWD and it goes where you point it.. try doin that a RWD and u end up sideways.. for everyday driving FWDs are much more predictable and safe..but not as much fun.. As for BMWs being something special...people forget they're just Taxis in europe, sure some of the top end models are awesome but your average beamer is exactly that...average , the same goes for 80% of the euro rubbish it really isnt that special people just like the badge but really its just an expensive wank

thing is people dont care what is going on around them because where they are going is apparently more important than anything else the world is doing.. Same thing happens on the freeways every peak hour..all the traffic slows down to 60 for a reason, but every second numnut thinks he is a genius jumping lanes, careering into every little gap or down an empty lane at 100kmph only to find.. you guessed it...More traffic.. The amount of times I have nearly been wiped out by some idiot that decides to jump out of their lane thats not moving into my lane doin 80km+ I have lost count. or if one lanes slowing down they jump out only to try and force their way back in 5 cars ahead which is the reason the lane is slowing down in the first place ..Dont lose heart as It has nothing to do with HP cars its just the World is full of selfish morons, aint alot we can do about it unfortunately..

so you have the standard cat with modified pipes or a whole new cat? anyway Im more concerned with your intake pipes than the cat, but if someone tells me there running big power through standard cooler piping I will let it go

think of it this way.. 2 turbos one big one small pumping the same amount of air.. the small one pumps fast and hard to move x amount of air so it can suck it through a smaller hose cause the velocity is up.. a big turbo will easily pump the same amount of air but slower..so when it goes to breathe it needs big pipes to move all that air at a lesser velocity otherwise its just choking.. add to that and it cant get the air out quick enough through a 2 1/4 inch pipe with 4 90 degree bends in it and this is why you have no power until it gets to 4000rpm and the air has some velocity behind it..at the moment the air cant get in,out or through at the required rate to make it work.. I dunno if that makes sense but i really think it could be a big part of your problem note.. (if somone with more experience wants to tell me Im wrong go for it )

you have a 4 inch intake sucking through a 3 inch afm..so effectively you have a 3 inch intake.. what do you mean the cat is highflowed? if you mean its gutted then it should be ok, if you mean its a 3inch hiflow cat then it means nothing, it is way too small to flow properly, other are running 4 and 5 inch cats it may be at low boost buts its still a big turbo trying to move a large volume of air through a small hose. So effectively you have a huge air pump with small ducting and its not happy..

its a 3 inch cat on a 600hp capable turbo, of course its a restriction.. infact his whole setup is a restriction ....no offense shifty

id be getting a 80mm hotpipe and at least 70mm cold pipe made up as well.. PM scottynm35 hes near dandenong and will make that up for you.. He can probably gut your cat as well..

yeah paint work was nice probably had a respray, had a decent set of fat rims as well..it looked good. Possibly has high kms but who cares half the joy in owning a skyline is modding it.. Did Alvin get his insurance payout yet..should getonit looked better than your old car... Maybe it is his car and thats why its cheap cause its hot...

i think the whole point was never to make a turbo that just made more power but one that was more efficient and will no doubt 'feel' better and more transient under your foot.. There will always be skeptics but at the end of the day garrett know more than anyone about this ssubject and I never doubted them.. It would be suicidal to release a less responsive version of there best selling turbo..good on you Simon for busting the myth

this is probably stupid but could t be the standard intercooler piping is also choking it..its only 60mm tube and that turbo is trying to push a large volume of air..also dont know what cat its running..still seems to me like its just choking up...im not convinced its just tune related

yeah its a big pity caltex didnt get the mobil buyout for they may have installed alot more eflex pumps when they revamped all the stores..instead now we have stupid 7_11s selling nothing but more junkfood
