I though exactlty the same disco that cooler EGTs would somehow solve the isssue of haivng too much exhaust gas there in the first place..I was going to run my little turbo on e85, but as Scott said, trying to push that much gas through the rear end, although somewhat effective, is also self defeating and probably harmful to your system in general. In my case I thinks it would be better to simply swap out the turbo and be able to make the same power on PULP, you may gain a little lag but the power would be more effective and better for your engine as a whole. Plus PULP is everywhere

  3. Nice, it looks alot like my car even has the same strut brace and 3600 what a bargain.., how much were you trying to sell it for? Just listen to Ash man he knows his shit.. I listened when he said get a 3071 (as he always does) but I even f**ked that up Or grab kando T67 for 800$ 6boost and 44mm tial wg and have some fun drag racing it till the engine blows.. (this option is more fun) Maybe I should start a thread called riches to rags now that I know my car is worth about a quarter what i paid for it and a sixth of what ive spent on it

  6. turbo really is too big for your setup .. and your piping is too small.. at least lose the Cat but thats just my opinion post some photos as well..

  13. yeah I,ve been told to go external sl2.. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290575800499&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT dunno 250-280 with boost by 3500 cant find any dynos at all on 25s though just a few comments saying they,re ok. and awesome on rb20s.. and a couple of old dynos that looked at bit slow onto power..

Dunno,it is possible its a lazy tune and has more tweaking that could benefit it.. its also possible they dont want to push his engine for fear of liability issues.. maybe the engines f**ked, did you get it checked before you threw a huge turbo on it?? how is your car set up shifty..exhaust ecu injectors etc..have u told us and i missed it??

  19. Rolls AVO tuned it and no they are not backyarders ..one of the biggest and most reputable tune shops in Melbourne..though I think their speciality is WRXS they tune can anything
  20. hey stop stealing my ideas wouldnt need a 6boost for this combo..on paper it seems to me to be a perfect combo for a very punchy turbo that should get around 300kw with stock motor and manifold with room to grow. Of course what seems good on paper isnt always good on the road, and the 52trim 3076 isnt cheap or I would have one by now
  21. yeah it gets confusing, you would just think your car is great if nobody told you different hey..i know I would.. Just figure out what u want and can afford..if you want 11 sec 1/4 mile i guarentee that turbo will do it..but it may be shitty to drive on the street and you will need to spend $ to make it happen If you just want a tough streeter that is awesome everywhere and dont want to spend heaps more cash then you unfortunately have the wrong turbo..
  22. u want the .82.. 3071.. But y go backward..you want 1/4 mile times dont u? If so the turbo is great its just everything else will need changing to match it
  23. AVO is a great shop, dont get me wrong, they do alot of cars at a reasonable price, its a bit of a production line.. Probably wouldnt matter though all the tuning in the world cant make up for a wrongly matched setup..
  24. exactly you were never going to make 350 on a stock manifold or internal gate.. I still dont get why everyone is so skeptical of these new turbos.. Garrett would not be dumb enough to release them if they were no good..just have to find their sweet spot...
  25. why not save your 500 dollars and just get a gt3071.. it would of made the same power with a shitload more response.. Anyway congrats for having the nuts to have a go shifty while everyone else just talks about it .. should of gone to Trent though, AVO is like the Kmart tyre and auto of tuning... go to projects and builds thread...look up russman..its a good read..
