  1. way i see it you have 2 choices HEADS... bolt it on now and have fun blowing up the rb25 ,it would give you some practice on setting it all up so most mistakes will be made now, then when you go to change engine you will have a few tricks up your sleeve already..also gives you a chance to get used to the power gradually instead of a heap all at once.. Besides the 25 might last quite a while and you wont need to put the 30 in just yet.. Or TAILS.... keep the stock 25 and all its bits.. If you want to sell it down the track u could chuck the original engine back in .. And sell the 30 seperate or if you kill the 30 you have a spare engine u can chuck back in.. now flip a coin
  2. thats about what a stock RB makes
  3. also, while the S14/15 may be light and corner really well, the R33/34 is probably the most comfortable while still being sporty ,it will also hold the road better at top speed, so in effect it is the best handling in some ways. The thing is it really depends what you want the car for, if you want a sprint track car then the lightweight and more nimble handling of the S car would be your choice. But if you want a more comfortable and quiet yet still very fast car for the street or maybe long distance road races then the R car is a better handling choice..
  4. f**k that too heavy.. Just stick an rb39 in it.. Its still a 3lt it still has holden written on it and you can buy them for spare change..
  5. Popeye!!! I'll vote 33 cause I havent driven anything else
  6. i got so distracted by the pictures i forgot the question
  7. Im not trying to burst your bubble here but as mid life crisis said I wouldnt build this with any kind of reliable performance in mind.. if you are building it purely for nostalgia sake you would be better off just grabbing an old supercharger off ebay and sticking a holley on top should only cost a couple of grand.. I wouldnt even worry about what power it made just make it work.. Its up to you mate but you either have a lot of cash to burn or your just plain crazy
  8. this sort of setup is what I was thinking. its neat and reasonably simple but has no IC and the hardest bit would be setting up injection.. Alternatively i guess you could run a centrifugal charger look at these Raptor kits, then you can just use Vk injection setup and IC cool it.. http://www.raptorsc.com.au/kits.php?id=55 Im starting to think this may be an easier way and probably just as powerful but I like the first way better.. but shit man, 3200$ is more than I would want to spend on a red 6 you could buy a used rb25t for that and still have change..
  9. I'd say no and no... when you go about seeting up something custom like this your best bet I think is to keep things as simple as possible. it makes faults easier to find come tuning time. I would even consider using a carby it will be a zillion times easier.. though an injection systaem should yeild better results. i will look into some injection setups when i get home..
  10. dont bother its just more electronic BS to f**k up... Spemd the money on cocaine and hookers
  11. i read a thread on here somewhere that shows you how to do it..just one or 2 wires need to be changed from memory.. Look in tutorials i think it was in there
  12. Terry after reading pages of crap and trying to find e95 stockists in Victoria I have just realized u are talking about e95 which is 10% ethanol at 95 octane rating . In otherwords E10 !!!! which we have already been using for months.. you just wasted more than 2 minutes of my life ya old prick
  13. yeah, I,m reading this and it says E95 is designed for diesel or high compression engines. I hadnt actually heard of it till now..I know the Honda runs pretty high comp but wow.. http://www.cleanairtrust.org/Differences-Between-E85-and-E95.html
  14. its ok i have wasted pretty much the whole weekend so far So are you saying it wont run on e85?
  15. Helloooo!!! does anyone else realize the problem is not his turbo or is that just me.. oil in the intake tube, dipstick blown out doesn't that show that some sort of compression is going on in the sump or something forcing the oil out and the dipstick out..????? What the hell does that have to do with the turbo..??
  16. im getting it in General auto only....have been for a week or so..
  17. does it require any tuning or will it handle it straight up.. Mine is 7th gen accord, 04 same as 06 model did you try it? i have tried searching the net and found nothing but nay sayers and muppets. One American lady got excited by the 2:77$ price tag (for ethanol ) then went as far as to pay 600$ to get Honda to flush their tank/system after accidently filling it with e85
  18. http://www.turbo202.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=86&start=20
  19. yeah sorry i didnt get it... Did you know that racecar spells racecar backwards...lol
  20. yes i thought you were running a different style of SC .i reckon a late falcon TB would do the job. Its 80mm I think.... here..about halfway down the page is a good manifold.. http://www.aussiespeed.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=9&Itemid=40 it is designed for carb but you could easily replace that with some form of injection, a top of the the line yella terra head and your stroker block. should go hard..
  21. ??????????
  22. Ken Block chattin with shueyy weird
  23. nah its some pic I stumbled across on the net.. How many street races are you really gunna win with no cat?
  24. are you sure its the turbo stuffed...could it be too much oil coming from the breathers in the camcovers ?
