  3. nothing wrong within an underground carpark mate. At least its out of the rain This is my 'garage' and its been apart more than a few times before in it.. This is actually an upgrade my last 'garage' was only half as big
  4. you know they could attempt to solve problems by building a huge skidpan somewhere, people could book ahead at short notice stick a security guard on it charge a small fee 20$ a car or something and let people gather and go nuts..I know Shepperton used to have one but its the only one I ever heard of. I guess the greenies would have a field day though
  5. 272 sidevalve with triple SUs and zoomies
  6. yeah i was thinking you be lucky to get it done under 10k so you have confirmed that.. But honestly if I ever was to spend money on my car I would do this before an rb30' . no doubt a bit of hassle for inital setup but so much potential.. does that money include any chassis bracing or engineering reports or whatever for rego or is that just to get it fitted and running for the track..Id love to do it just to see the 'WTF' look on a coppers face when he popped the bonnet
  7. They dont fit in the oven I tried, unless you have a bigger oven than me.. I did however manage to get the cover off with a 20$ bunnings heat gun. Just warm around the seal about 15-20cms at a time until it gives and the seal is broken. Then do another patch but take your time .
  8. Sooo..an update.. stock rb25 pfc gcg turbo ,(.5 comp, 3076 core -5015, 21u rear) 650 sard injectors, walbro pump china cooler 3 inch ex Amazing the difference replacing a dirty fuel filter can make.
  9. LOL...fair enough..
  10. Yeah sounds like you have a cluey man on the job anyway, I wish you the best of luck with it and I will be watching with anticipation for sure If you dont mind me asking what sort of budget are you hoping to achieve the conversion for, not including the engine cost..Or would you rather not think about it Love my V8s and have thought about it plenty of times.. This is news to me, when did that happen?
  11. yeah Ive had no experience with the kit, I just though it may be a better option than messing with your steering geometry..
  12. there is a kit that swaps the starter motor to the other side if that helps.... Thats what the old commy boys do anyway.. http://www.rodshop.com.au/holden/vl.htm http://www.rodshop.com.au/trans_conversions/ap/ap130.htm for 995$ it includes a new starter and could save alot of headaches.. there were alot of similarities between VLs and skylines, I remember seeing a VL In a magazine that had a complete GTR drivetrain and the guy said it almost fit straight in so Id be looking at what else may fit from these kits, the extractors maybe close to a fit even..
  13. you mean back when caldr was actually cool and held the nationals and top fuelers with the occasional jet truck.. Ahhh the good ol days..stupid friggin chunderdome killed it all if ya ask me..

  17. if you have 'time' you are not driving fast enough for if you drove so fast that you could transcend time and space and you would have conquered the 4th dimension and time in itself would become irrelevant as it would no longer exsist rite?
  18. if you have time to look at the dash, your not driving fast enough amidoinitrite?
  19. what have you bought this time mohsen?
  20. This .. probably wouldnt cost much more than a webber would anyway
  21. did he plug the ignitor module earth back in?, its easy to forget.
  22. so all I need is 1200kws and my car will do 500kmph
  23. but im not talking about million dollar oils at oil, ok I have motul in my skyline, 70$ for 5l its hardly cheap but there are more expensive, it seems to me to be a fairly well proven oil for turbo imports so I think its worth it, i ws using mobil one before which was just as expensive anyway and Im thinking of changing to fuchs cause its half the price but if I put it in and it doesnt feel right I will change back.. But my main experience comes from 400,000kms in my old ute. I tried lots of different oils had had mixed luck in the end my favourite was RSOL from reco, 20 bucks for 6l with a free filter it was damn good value. Shell helix I used a few times and it was really good. Engine felt smoother than the RSOL for sure but it was only justifiable when on sale. Castrol magnatec was rubbish, it felt ordinary and burnt out within weeks I was amazed when I checked the oil and there was none there. Most other stuff like mobil and penrite was always good. I didnt bother putting expensive oils in it. At the end of the day i want a mixture of quality, value and it has to feel right when I drive it.. Saying how it feels is irrelevant is like buying a car from without test driving it Because the brochure looks good
  24. maybe you just dont have the sixth sense, poor Rolls next rounds on me mate
