  2. I dont understand why people think it is easier or cheaper to extract power from a turbo engine.. Take your average rb25 spend 5000$ you will probably get a fairly reliable 450hp, give or take.. spend 5000$ on an injected holden v8 and you will also get a reliable 450hp and heaps more torque down low, spend the same on an Ls1, easy 550hp The only real advantage is you can do it to a turbo engine without having to open the engine up, just install a bigger turbo etc..But rebuilding an engine isn't hard for those that know how just that people prefer to just buy bolton bits these days cause it seems easier. I knew a guy with a 308 5 speed vb commodore, had a 286 cam a holley carb, and heads he ported himself at tafe and running crazy high compression (12.5-13) it pulled easy 12s and he even beat a ferrari in it. The only trade-off was he would blow a head gasket every few months, but now you could build that whole car for 5000$
  3. Wow, the car is remarkably... sedate.....to look at anyway... I like your style yeah as Nick said more shots of the entire car and a driveby would be good, but eh..good werk. EDIT ***Love the engine paint colour (I'm jely) but dude, do something about the overflow bottle, like wash it or bleach it even. Better yet spray it black..Oh yeah bodywork is AMAZING!!!***

I took my 2004 mazda into a mazda dealership for a full service, I noticed a few drops of coolant like you, they didnt put the coolant bung back in properly and my radiator almost run dry within a couple of weeks, I took my 2004 honda into honda dealership for full service didnt change my wiper blades ffs they were rooted and almost falling off.. So now I trust 2 people with my cars, msyelf and 1 very good private mechanic who tackles the bigger jobs I cant handle and even with him I source my own parts. )

  6. painting is easier to strip off later should you want a colour change.. powdercoating will give you a tuffer finish but will cost 200$ whereas you can buy 2 cans of paint for 10$ or 4 for 20$ if you want a glossier finish..

  9. bird pecked holes all through my sunroof rubber the other day, ring honda for replacement seal 145$ its currently full of silicone I am no longer a fan of sunroofs, but they are great for sucking farts out of your car and getting a burnt forehead Anyway if you want something luxo RWD and dont want a falcodore get a beamer..
  10. would that cause the idle to stick on 2000? cause mine did that last week but hasn't done it again, It was on a dyno few weeks back it was running rich but didnt have time to source a problem. There is another sensor at bottom of radiator, is that just a gauge sensor? I never put it in when I changed the radiator initially, but since I have put it back in I've been having these problems.

  12. so i went for a huge drive today after ab hour an a half of driving my car did the same thing in a carpark, did it twice before we get out the car park and then was fine for the next 2 hours...

  15. also you must remember even F1 cars are massively detuned from what they really could be in order to keep them safe..Not much use having more power if it cant stick to the ground, with the HP limits they have an NA engine is just as good as a turbo one. Also Indy cars have run turbos for ages have a top speed up around 400 too but is only useful on an oval track, so pretty useless for F1, now they run na V8s and are hardly slower. if turbocharging is the answer why have the GTRs gone from 2.6lt to 3.8lt engines, obviously more displacement has its merits. personally I think the balance is to be had somewhere in the middle, engines need to be large enough to have lowdown torque but need to charged for ultimate power. Problem is when you give everybody turbos for their streeters and every dumbass realizes you can get more power by cranking the boost up they tend to go round killing themselves cause cars dont yet have the safety features required to make them stick, this was proved all through the 90s with fatal import stacks on TV weekly. And why complain about "redneck statements" when the US Indy cars run turbos for years and probably will again soon. Its a pretty low blow to the rednecks mate, but you get that alot round here If you truly believe you are more intelligent than a redneck why lower yourself to the same discriminatory level
  16. heres something weird...the same time u posted this my car started doing the exact same thing I find if i rev the crap out of it it often fixes itself, personally i think it is gunk buildup on the o2 sensor ..but it could be a number of things..

  20. I think not... im assuming your car is white yeah.. in which case Id go a metallic charcoal buffed to a mirror sheen, probably without chrome lip but could work with.. if you insist on chrome strip and its just for shits n giggles do the metalcast blue....for sexeeeeee appeal.....

  22. i do a few colour coats and a couple of clear, but havent cut it, could be why my finish isnt as good,what do u use? Think i have a bottle of mequiers fine cut would that do it?
