    Rust Prevention

yeah most cars are built pretty well from better materials that dont rust as easily these days, make sure u keep it free of dirt and leaves building up in crevices , keep it waxed. Ct20 truck wash is great stuff as well, i still find suspension parts tend to rust up over time though, not sure how to solve that.
  4. Man your skyline must be broken I can do Thomastown to Seaford in an hour..In my work ute.
  5. photo is fake..a hair dryer draws air in from the back, so by taping over it it cant draw in air and therefor would be useless.. Try again..
  6. you just turn the engine on, when it heats up the water dries...duh!!
  7. yes you do, I've done it plenty of times..
  8. Im ar, thur t3, beleive it or not. i probably should be driving a wagon but i never was stereotypically normal. People look at me kinda funny when i have the baby seat or dog or both in the back of my skyline
  9. same here.. was it like that when u first got it though joe?
  10. yeah all i did was sit around and drink piss for 8 days, then drove out to the rock and back.. XXXX was probably the only thing i didnt drink
  11. Sounds like a good plan
  12. dont bother.. My theory here is that intercoolers are great if your car is going to be reving its titties off constantly, your turbo will heat up trying to fit more air through it than it can handle in turn making your intake charge hot. Now im assuming this is a street car not a race car, if put my arm out the window now driving along its a bout 25 outside the sir feels cool to touch, my car is sitting on about 3000rpm, maybe it will get up to 5 tops so my turbo is barely heating up so cooling the air isnt going to prove much and an intercooler is only going to be good for hektik points which doesnt actually make your car faster. Now, are you getting a remap or retune,,a remap will cost about 500 and completely remap your ecu, a retune will cost about 100 and just fix some key points if you are actually getting a remap spend about 800 on one of hypergears hiflows and you will notice a huge difference in power and be able to crank your boost up considrrably. In doing this you will have alot more power so you wont have the need to thrash its tits off to get anywhere .. Then monitor your intake tempss to see if they are too hot, chances are in everday driving they will be fine. If they are not then get an intercooler . If you are just getting a retune...dont bother. My car was making 185kw with a stock cooler and never had any problems with intake temps... If you are going to be racing the car constantly then get one..
  13. Not to worry, I did some googling when i got them but didnt find alot, they're already in the car and working fine, if they stop working then i will worry..
  14. Which ones have good spray patterns then? I mean i got these sard dual spray ones (designed for JZ engines) that dont seem to have a spray pattern really they just shoot 2 huge jets of fuel out, have read somewhere they can spray into the walls on RBs ..Dunno if thats any good or not but they work ok..Definately can supply a heap of fuel..
  15. 100 cpsi metallic cat is what your after, 4 inches at least, is it legal? depends on the appliction, but at least you tried...
  16. Yeah its fine, i just taking the piss!!!
  17. How did he do it?
  18. Maybe if you smash the old belt driven search engine to pieces and update to an electric one
  19. Is this because you cant be bothered updating the forum search tool..
  20. I dont see why you couldnt just stick fabric over the old hood lining, no need to strip it right back. Depends how much $$ your willing to spend and how properly u like to do thongs i guess.
  21. It will cost a lot more than a can of paint though If u go to that utube clip he is actually selling the stuff, has mixed reviews though, but anyone who is painting their seats probably has a few screws loose anyway..I reckon for the roof should be fine..And for the price of a can 20$ its worth a try, if it doesnt work just get it retrimmed later. http://www.simplyspray.com.au/ EDIT..Only comes in black..
  22. If you get the right paint its odourless.. Also you know what might be cool, get that carbon fibre wrap and do you whole hoodlining in it..definately be different..
  23. Id say paint it, would be the easiest and cheapest way. And should be fine if done right as its not going to get rubeed off Reupholster would be a bit tricky but could be done just need a few cans of spray glue and some light material. Spray both surfaces lightly then lay it on. thats doing it properly uou may be able to just glue material over the old stuff
  24. sorry i should of highlighted the bit i was talkin about
  25. correct me if am wriong here fellas but i believe the eboost sreet is designed and made in Oz.
