  1. no..unless your turbo is getting really hot, even old cars dont need them but some people think they are cool like BOVs. If you do however get some work done to it maybe consider it but i wouldnt worry mate, im sure if it needed one nissan would have fitted it..
  2. personally i would pour the oil on the fence as it stops the wood from drying out and kills the weeds
  3. Plastic from margarine tin lids works much better, it sounds ricier and will last you longer..
  4. Lol yeah u can stick a bit of toluene in there but real man go the whole jerry can... WARNING DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME.....
  5. hows the ride, harsh or gentle or just right.. How would they go in a normal family car..
  6. Ouch.. 1200$ Sorry to hear of your loss.. you sure its not just tyre scrub..what size wheels you running Check for scrub marks on the back plastic inner guard lining and if it is, dont worry about it..All the cool cars do it
  7. I've only done one and i didnt break it.. It does take some patience to make sure you have cut all the goo away before you start pushing on the screen.. But the tool only cost me 35$ from a windscreen warehouse. Its a pretty basic tool, you could probably make one easy enough.. I got the grinder onto the blade to make sure it was real sharp and you have to keep cleaning the goo off it..
  8. wow, doesnt look like theres much to do then.. Doesnt matter missus is in hospital now so trips cancelled.. f**k!!!!!!!
  9. see i dunno cause i havent seen it done yet..usually people only have an inch difference between front and back, remember seeing a S14 with 18s and 19s and it looked shit hot, same goes for 17s-18s on skylines.. i see alot of the street machine crowd do 18s and 20s (or 20s and 22s) and it can look really tuff, but yeah, thats a different style of car..Yet to see it on a skyline..I think the main thing really is to have the tyre sidewalls close to the same size so everything looks in proportion..
  10. yeah 19s probably would match better...
  11. I priced getting mine recored and it turns out cheaper to buy an aftermarket one. A new double core 32mm i think was about $280+..and you can get a 52mm aftermarket for less than $230..A 42mm is even cheaper. stock one is fine for most applications, but if your going to spend the money why not get something better...
  12. 20s look stupid on the front of skylines the lack of tyre sidewall and the raised hieght is ridiculous.. Now if your were to pick up some 18s for the front,it will make your steering easier and better, it will make your your frontend lower giving the car a mean rake with the front being slightly lower than the rear and generally all your problems will be solved and your car will look tuff as balls.. Thats my 2c anyway ,if you wanna keep your stupid 20s on the front then i have no further advice..
  13. Not bad, the one that always gets me is the change from fourth to a 3rd gear corner i always try to change as late as possible but often to late and the rear end tries to step out, can be a little scary.. I can only imagine doing the same from fifth to fourth cause i always makes sure i change early for these but i get a bit over confident for the 3rd gear corners that have nearly caught me out a few times.. Of course none of these techniques really prepare you for an unexpected dip in the road when on the street that can send your car sideways in a split second if hit at speed.. Ive travelled many a road after hearing about fatal accidents only to find there was a big dip that you know has been hit way to fast and launched the vehicle sideways into a pole or similar. Match this with rock hard lowered suspension or with crappy king springs shit shocks and low profile tyres and its a recipe for disaster..
  14. I think its called Racechrono..thats the one on my nokia anyway..
  15. So the missus has just informed me that she needs a holiday and has booked us a flight to the middle of nowhere to visit family... i really wanted to drive there but it was a last minute decision by the boss Will be there over xmas new years period anything that i shouldn't miss out on while I'm there, Ive been told it gets pretty dead as everyone leaves to go visit relys Etc. But Im stuck there for 10 days so will need some entertainment to prevent the relys from driving me crazy. How longs it take to drive to that big rock can u get there and back in a day..Anything else worth seeing.. Cheers
  16. Allthough i guess it would also make sense that a low powered car will lose power through the driveline more easily as it would have a reduced ability to overcome the drain.. A higher powered car would simply overcome these friction loses no matter how great.. But still Id think a 2000hp would quite easily lose 3-400 through driveline which is still close to 20% but once again the style of driveline would make a huge difference ,for instance a regular sedan with tailshafts compared to a car that has the engine/gearbox bolted directly to the diff..
  17. thats good news, common problem too ..mine did it as well but not that bad.. I ended up taking the covers off for painting anyway and putting some goo on them while at it.. what happened with the bolt
  18. see now thats what i was saying a while back that driveline loss was around 20-25% , but the Nismoid reckons my theory was flawed and that on average the loss was 50-60kw.. He was maybe going to get some test results to prove it.. I wonder what happened to that
  19. ..dont forget the badge...nothing says cool like a GTR badge..
  20. you trying to sell him a navara??
  21. haha, me too...i beleive they call it procrastinating its like a cross between procreate and masturbating... this thread is awesome BTW...
  22. ever tried removing a windscreen, these are handy...Simple yet affective..
  23. That looks unreal.. Theres a guy in the R35 section that had his cars roof smashed by a transport company (or something like that) was going to suggest he could do this...Now im convinced, i think that looks better than the real thing...
