  1. part of you intake manifold,.i would seek professional help
  2. Thats a bit of a rough call mate, here is a guy thats willing to get in and give it a go and your bascially calling him a numpty for stripping a bolt.. I have stripped and broken plenty of nuts, bolts, screws in my days , its part n parcel of playing with old cars, especially with limited tools at your disposal, and i bet if you ask any mechanic or engineer they will have stripped a bolt or two in their days.. I sent my car to the dealership to get serviced and they stripped the radiator drain plug causing it to leak and overheat my car, do you think i should give these knobs my hard-earned?.. To OP, i dont know how to help you sorry i usually call a guy to come fix me messed up bolts...I just dont have the tools to do it and he makes it look so easy cause he has cool tools that can only be bought on the black market..
  3. Its ok i guess but its no Jazz
  4. i like what you've done to your car, but nothing can change the fact its an x-trail. but they are 2 different cars, x-trail is like a mini patrol, whereas the dualis is like a maxi pulsar..2 totally different concepts, but i would like to see a hotted up dualis Personally,I would have got the forester...lol
  5. my mazda had 470, on it, still going fine but was getting tired so i traded it before it died, few days later i get a letter from the EPA saying it was witnessed blowing smoke, good timing ey, could of fixed it with a new set of slugs, but the suspension was rooted and it didnt really feel very safe anymore... theres a bunch of guys at my work up in the 6-700s and ive seen more than a few taxis over 800...but the one that took the cake for me was this bloke i was talking to oneday had an 80s model mack truck. he had lost count of how many times its been around the clock, reckons it was at least 4 or 5..original engine..amazing..
  6. looks wise i reckon the dualis kills the x-trail..will 21s fit? Be interesting to see anyway..
  7. Gotta be POTY +1 I hear good things about hyundai excels....
  8. they will say $3000 if you are really lucky...R33s arent worth shit anymore..and most people paying 10k+ for one are getting ripped..
  9. i wish Turbo X-trail had done done one of these up they have so much meaner stance than his tissue box on wheels..no offence TXT...But i have driven one and it felt like i was a kid that put wheels on dads empty Vb carton and was driving it around... Dualis could actually look mean although 21 inch rims...you cant be serious...
  10. I knew some guys like this years back..worked a panel shop ,would come around every weekend with some hot car and flog the crap out of it..They soon went outta business then opened up another then went outta business again... If anyone thinks it doesnt happen they are naive, never leave your car with anyone who doesn't have a rock solid reputation or at least your trust ,but trust no-one...
  11. I have an intake hose...also have side mount and oil lines... Sent you PM...
  12. You said he fitted a turbo and cams, whats to say he hasn't dropped something in the engine , maybe clogging an oil passage or something similar that has eventually caused it to self destruct...just a thought..
  13. real men just cut a hole in the bonnet,,,
  14. that was my other suggestion but i deleted it. ..Id say evo then as you dont seem to have a awd as yet
  15. mines running 3 deg just from being low..and everyone tells me its not that low. Though i have noticed some of the bushes are offset, is that normal
  16. you are right, would also require custom intake pipe and a bunch of other custom shit that costs $$
  17. everyone can get them really cheap, cause they are shit A hiflow from hypergear can be had for around 1000$ maybe less, will perform better and bolts straight up... give it a general service (good plugs ,oils, filters etc) get a decent fuelpump is under 200 and a remap on yourr ecu for around 500 maybe and you could have easy 220-230kw...for less than 2000$. Assuming you can do the work yourself..pay someone else to do it and you can double that figure...
  18. Ill take em...
  19. yeah that was 5 min of BS for 20 seconds of wholly crap fast...But for all we know the veyron stalled.. It was worth it though...that take off was phenomenal
  20. say how much u wanna spend do u want a driveable car or a dyno figure... personally i tried to get both and ,well i got what i paid for..
  21. I reckon 3071 would have to be better with sudden change..IE.. twisty roads etc on off throttles. Whereas 3076 more for the floor it and go crowd.. If that makes any sense..
  22. I find it funny how everyone is debating 3071 vs 3076 when it is quite obvious the 3076 will make more power with minimal lag difference.. I think the main thing to be concerned with here is how much can the stock motor handle.. It seems to me that the gt3071 was the turbo of choice if you wanted the motor to hold up, 3076 if you weren't to concerned with longetivity, as it would make more power but engine could only take so much of it.. Now with these new profiles its a whole different ball game...I mean 300kw plus for a gtx3071, how long is a stock engine going to handle that for, my guess is not very long..Dependant on usage of course.. both of the new profiles are going to make more Hp..but you have to consider what your motor will handle...I dont think stock engine is going to handle either for long if driven hard which opens the Q...what end result do you want? Cause i reckon once you get up around or over that 300kw milestone...driveline becomes the issue..not much point having the power if you cant get it to the ground right??
  23. you wont need 740ccs for 240kw... 480s would probably do it, even the stockies would do it with a bit more pressure And a hiflow
  24. Deceptively fast maybe the word for it..it is fast no doubt about it, but it doesnt have that scare factor..It feels remarkably sedate.. Im probably just over thinking things as usual..
