How Do You Calculate Rwkw From Kw From Hp?
ARTZ replied to 335's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
driveline loss in any rwd car on average is usually around 20-25% isnt it? For eg..500hp engine puts about 300kw(400hp) at the wheels.. works out to 20% -
You do realize it wont be hidden now that you've told everyone where it is... May as well just hide it in your ashtray like normal people.. Ive heard they can even touch your bum
-
yeah they all do it eventually, Not a major problem just something to do with the heater vents and the little motor that controls them i think a cog slips off or something..Is your window demisting properly mine only demists on 1 side.. have a look in the tutorials ,theres one on how to fix it
-
I had a bit of a accident that chopped the metal line under the car and had to get it home so i did the best I could to fix it with hose and clamps, that got me to the need of the block before it blew the hose. It wasnt a long drive so I drove it home and no harm is done... Remember most oils do stick to moving parts. Running it dry for extended time will no doubt do damage but for less than a minute it is unlikely to damage anything..Power steering pump does rattle like a bitch though when its empty but soon as you hear it rattle shut it down Also Undoing a line is as simple as undoing 1 bolt how is that a hassle? its more of a hassle to clean fluid from your engine bay...Either way is fine anyway i just did this cause i was changing the line at the time Anyway thats how i did it and it worked fine, And for the record i did have it on stands just forgot to mention it But its not that important...

Haha... it just gets worse Nah mine only have this no..1001-87091 I found pictures of them on the net and various things saying they are 650 however there is a 550 sr20 injector that looks the same but has a different no... bit of a mystery Guess ill just put em in and see what happens...

650cc SARD 1/2JZ-GTE SARD Yellow Ellipse 2 or 4 13 1.5ms 650 1001-87091 / 63564 SARD so i have these injectors had them tested the other day and all were good bar one needed a bath... But when i picked them up i was informed there were 450cc, what the? Well turns out there was a setting wrong on the machine and once corrected a figure of 550cc was reached...Still not right... now problem is i need to load injector setting into ecu so i can drive the car to tuner but what do i go by the spec sheet or the test?? I was also told they would probably not handle e85

kind of yes and kind of no... half a bucket of soapy water will wash the grime and dirt of, but it leaves watermarks and that is where the wax in a can does its job... As for saving money i bought 4 cans for 70$ well over a year ago i have 2 cars i wash regularly and still have 2.5 cans left so thats not bad value really... Spray wax will cost you just as much if not more.... Its not the greatest stuff on earth by a long shot, but its not that bad either and it does work great on wheels, you wax them and in a month or so you can pressure wash it the brake dust just falls off..

i think there is a drain somewhere not sure.. but with mine i undid one end of one of the metal lines under the car so fluid didnt get all in the engine bay, then with engine running you can move the steering wheel side to side and it will push all the fluid out the line...Just do this till no more fluid comes out... Do the bolt back up then put fluid in and move steering wheel side to side again with the cap off and you will see air bubble coming out of the reservoir, keep doin this till it stops making bubbles... Beware, if you put too much fluid in it will overflow the reservoir cause when you move the wheel it pumps out,so just fill it up a bit move wheel, fill, move wheel, repeat till full and no more bubbles coming out... Pretty sure any steering fluid will work and some auto trans oils as well and a litre bottle is heaps

300rwkws+ With Rb25det R33 Turbo High Flow? Yes, Confirmed.
ARTZ replied to hypergear's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I dont know much but I dont understand why everyone worries about this so much, Its just a high flowed stocky and usually I'd be clutching by then anyway.. you wanna bounce of the rev limiter get a better turbo (and a better engine)............ This turbo has almost 150kw gain from 3500 to 4500rpm and for the street legal ,that is crazy and affordable power ..... Well done Stao -
yeah putting a pod on a daily car is a waste of time, yeah it may suck more air ( and sound better) but mostly its hot air instead of the cool air a standard snorkel is designed to breath.. pretty sure any FMIC should pass as long as its fitted decently....Which alot i see aren't

These GREDDY style plenums can be had for under 200$ US, and with the AUS dollar as it is atm ....Dammn cheap...

From what i have seen and heard hypergear is best bang for buck there is!!!!!!

i wash my car with a bucket of soapy water then F1 it..but you all making me feel bad.... maybe i should change my ways..
-
Yeah Thats what i bought...will hopefully post some results soon... you will need to modify your intake pipe..as its 3 inch... for the kit..3k...new http://gcg.com.au/index.php?page=shop.prod...t&Itemid=53 if your lucky you'll get a s/h one for half that ..If your game enough to go s/h turbo route you'll get a good BB jobbie and there is plenty that will make that power...but buyer beware... EDIT>>Actually just looking may as well get this for the same price...More power just as responsive.. http://gcg.com.au/index.php?page=shop.prod...t&Itemid=53

^^ yeah thats what i did.. Someone told me to fill the radiator with coca cola and then throw a packet of mentos in it. Apparently the reaction is really good for cleaning out the corrosion.. Has anyone tried this??
-
Thanx So thats what it means, i kept reading it but had no idea what it meant exactly. Seems crazy.. Does that mean it would run fine as a v8 ecu?
-
Look out for police so you dont lose ya license again ya dummy
-
Yeah i ran a bottle of flush through it for over half an hour, not sure if it made a difference, the water that came out was brown but so was the the flush mix i put in it.. Another guy told me he just runs the engine with the hose stuck in the radiator. I also read somewhere that plain water actually cools better. But i do remember the old man topping up the radiator in the his HJ monaro all the time, He had to check it daily. I have never had to with coolant so i guess there is truth to what you say mr massive..I didnt know this b4..

As it turns out adaptronic is 1250 with loom and map, which isnt under a grand at all So not only is the PFC tried and tested its cheaper too... And i really cant find any complaints about it, whereas I've found a few on the others.. Problem solved

Thats awesome

Yeah i read something about coolant lubricating the pump, I usually use it but didnt realize i'd run out. But i also read another guy says hes used nothing but water and redline water wetter for 10 years with no problems.. So just wondering what i should get to add to it
