  1. 140 is way low.. mine made 186kw with dirty old apexi pod turboback and 11psi coutesy of a tap from bunnings...think it has a better fuel pump too..
  2. they used to have group buys here for $315 fitted.....but dont seem to do them anymore... BY road tune im asssuming you tuned it yourself, Hard to do??
  3. How much would u pay for a second hand one, and how much it cost to tune??
  4. If its burnouts your after good old retreads work a treat...cheap tooo...
  5. must be getting his tips from commodore drivers.. read hareys thread...might help... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ax...ml&hl=harey
  6. how can you tell if its been remapped...
  7. whats your compression like.... you need to find the problem not buy more shit...you should be getting around 180kw...something is wrong..fix it then buy more shit...
  8. Damnit, i remembered the 2 manifolds today...lol...but you corrected me b4 i had a chance to redeem myself...
  9. Put your old pipe back on..simple..
  10. If you take the top intake pipe off from the rear turbo it should be accessible...it will be the very end bolts if its the problem all
  11. If u put your hands down around where the bolts are you will feel if they are loose...
  12. did mine today 2 at the rear 1 at the front were cracked...i initially noticed loose nuts and went to tighten the nuts and one just fellout in my hand..3 cracked in the head..as well my turbo bolts were loose...seems to be common problem on gtst not sure about gtr...Im thinking the same maybe its an excuse for a new turbo...Good luck with it..
  13. Get a mouse trap or a cat, problem should be gone by the morning...
  14. ..haha.. i have a soft spot for old cars...every now and then ill see some classic and pull them up or email them if there interested in swaps..Get some interest but I always back out...But you never know what people will swap, just find something you like and ask them... but your right they are reliable, only problem ive had was manifold studs and turbo bolts coming loose. i think it had a coilpack replaced but that was about 8 years ago ..it coughs and farts here and there, but always keeps running..If only the electrics were as reliable as the driveline..
  15. theres too damn many of them around...there as common as commodores and most are crappy and borirng...yeah id reckon 8k tops..sux i know when you probably paid double that 3-4 years ago..I know i did..bought off a mate thinking it was something special only to find its a dud old car with shit that keeps breaking and a mate that just says..it was fine when i sold it and it must be my fault...Bullshit...Its just another shitty old car now..I would seriously rather keep it and drive it than lose 5-10k on it...its still a great car to drive even if it isnt cool anymore although i do find a few people are up for swaps....always another option, but every time im about to swap it i back out for some reason or another...maybe its fate and destiny toying with me.. Oh and lot of them are legit low kms..there toys so arent always driven daily...Ive done 6000 in 3 years, it sat in a shed for 3 years before that...factor in another year maybe for time spent in docks/auction yards/etc..thats 7 years on a 14 year old car...it has 130km on the clock which equates to roughly 15,000kms a year when it was on the road..sounds about right...

  17. Yeah must be old map cause theres one on other side now...Which I believe is where he was...
  18. http://motoring.ninemsn.com.au/cars/featur...new-v8-is-ready Appears the GTHO is making a comeback Wheels believes that a big-boost, big-hitting supercharged version of the Coyote will also power the return of the GT-HO in 2011. With higher boost pressure, intake and exhaust mods (see sidebar, opposite page), and a water-to-air intercooler, 375kW/650Nm is well within reach of this reborn legend. If Ford does drop the XR8 and hand the Coyote V8 wholly to FPV it would be a perplexing, but not entirely surprising, move.
  19. The map u posted is wrong side of the intersection...thats heading south..i believe he was heading north..right?? ..its quite a bit longer I nearly got done on the stud rd bus lanes...they did a blitz there a while back ,..there was a bunch of us in the bus lane when everybody stopped, with no idea police were there, i changed lanes to my right to pass the stopped cars when a crazy copper jumps out in front of me from in front of the stopped cars.., i swerved to miss him as i had no time to brake and kept driving..Figured id get a fine in the mail or something but never did...
  20. Your way off, chinese ones spin heaps faster and save fuel as well...
  21. Was at a track day bout 5 years ago...was a purple 33GTR , fairly well modded for the street and a Ex perkins supercar..VR...It shat all over the 33...Its a prepped race car of course it will...They wouldnt let them on the track at the same time...
  22. Right on ...and people are obviously prepared to pay this much for a GTHO.. I was talking to a guy the other day had a mint Charger..he said 15 years ago all his mates though he was silly buying an old car for 8000$ while they all bought hotted up commodores. Their commodores are now all worth nothing whereas a guy in the street offered him 60k for his Charger..It has 700hp and is driven regularly... Many old cars are being used not just garaged and are still worth good money..And i've said before alot of people chopping and modifying there GTRs are gunna spew in 30-40 years when the guys who kept theres mostly original are fetching more money from collectors... Some people like to collect cars Some people like to drive cars Some people like to build cars Its all in the family, so dont be upset that a 40yr old falcon is worth 10 times as much as your car...It just is .. ....
  23. I was surprised by a red light oneday and hit the brakes in plenty of time all though rather abrubtly, after stopping i noticed the guy behind me was also startled and was locked up and skewed sideways coming at me hard , i ever so gently rolled out into the intersection giving him just enough room to stop...Was lucky...
  24. Its easy you just need a rounded socket.... \ One thing we used to do was get the grinder out and grind a slot in the middle then use a big flat blade screwdriver..Though i never tried it on a sump plug, it works most times.
