True Story... A typhoon over took us coming off the on ramp onto a quiet freeway so we tailed him, It had a big exhaust and a middle aged bloke behind the wheel ,there was 2 blokes and a big dog in our car. We hear a huge howl and he starts moving, so we tailed him in a 33 which has basically an exhaust and 11psi, so nothing special .Lets just say that he couldnt shake us, and we actually started to overtake him when, at 5500rpm in 5th gear, the power died suddenly, not sure if it was fuelcut or something(can anyone answer this??), we also nailed him through some roundabouts...After seeing this i decided to buy the 33... .. The typhoon is great car on paper and pretty damn good on the black stuff too, but the coupla people ive known with unmodded xr6t have had problems..no doubt due to floggin the ring off em... Skylines seem to be more reliable and can cop more of a hiding.. If your sensible and not going to flog it silly, the ford would be fine and has alot of potential if you wish to mod it It is also more comfortable if your a large fella and easier to get girls in the back

Nope, the beauty of a 2 door is......bigger doors.... meaning you can fit more stuff through the doors...i have moved more shit in my 33...including full kenwood home stereo and cabinet , 1mtre tall cabinet and speakers...i even fit a coffeee table on the front seat..seat laid back....neither of which would have fit through sedan doors...

yeah keep dreaming....the fastest drag cars in the world are v8s. nascars are v8s, v8 supercars, sprint cars v8s, V8s are here to stay and f**king cool no matter what any turbo 6 fan believes,,,when you only start your car once a week there is nothing better than that v8 rumble to your ears, yanks have v8 trucks that run quicker than euro sports cars...seriously a v8 is, has, and always will be the shit that says, i am man hear me roar..........screw rego screw petrol bills...listen to me roar....The Boss, well everyone knows thats sales pitch.....but they manage to squeeze 1200 ponies out of stangs with TT and the same engine.. The turbo 6 is a tough car, but at the end of the day. not tuff enuf..........And like i said, i dont care what the times say, cause i dont see times everyday, but i do hear that V8 ROOOAAAAARRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!! And it sounds so good.......... FTR i did say get an SS, best bang for your buck money can buy, or even WRXs usually eat these falcons...

^^^ hence why i reckon the G6Et is so nice, very sedate looking car But why is it my 93 skyline has been flogged silly for ages with barely a hiccup, and my friends 04 xr6 turbo is f**ked with heaps less kms on the clock....Fords do go hard but they are not built to be flogged like the ricers..... All depends how you drive i guess what suits you more.. Still reckon the V8 is tuffer, no need for turbos, cams and headwork will have it moving..

I too have seen them running awesome times, theres a guy in qld will build u a 9 second package for about 15k but have also heard they have major issues with the head especially, and gearboxes, they dont seem to like being thrashed , also there a tank when compared to a skyline, the BA anyway, the FG is a better car....G6Et would be my choice too , nice classy looking car that one... I Still reckon the v8 is dont care what the times say, it just is

Typhoon bah!! ..get the FPV GT Boss 290.....a real mans car As for skyline being a 15 year old car the ford 6 is an over 30 year old engine,remembering ford were running the 250 in the 70s... sure its had some upgrades but its an old fart and the RB is infinately a better designed motor, better yet get a 2jz or an ss ute and supercharge it... Turbo 6 is nice but blown 8 is better

you do know the ford ranger is just a mazda BT-50 clone with electric windows, both are great workhorses

Why fix what isnt broken yet, enjoy driving it instead of worrying about mods, how can you know the mods you make are better unless you have used the original stuff to its full potential, you might just be making it worse But i would. Lower it and rims so it looks exhaust so it sounds some form of boost adjustment, cause its That could close to soak up 5k, depending how thrifty a shopper you are, aside that just just improve things as they get old , when your brakes are shot, get better ones, when your clutch is shot get a better one etc etc, your worrying about cooling, why, is it overheating yet, my cooling system is standard and has never overheated on me...yet... As for reliability, you will find they are very reliable outta the box, anything you do change is going to make it probably less reliable if anything..the only thing that will keep it reliable is regular servicing.

I,ll drink to that Car modification is so much more than a hobby, its a stepping stone to bigger things, an education.. Now i couldnt learn to repair an earthmover engine in my garage, but i can learn on a smaller car engine If i wanted to learn electrics, spray painting, upholstery, fibreglassing, plastics, etc I can practice all these skills on my own vehicle , that i use to get to work everyday.. All of these things are trades of sorts which is why car modification is so popular, now there will always be good and bad tradesman, and good and bad cars..But what people need to realize is that person who has modified something on his/her car has learnt a skill of some sort (hopefully).. Now there is always going to be rules & regulations, as with building a house, or playing football, but to often these rules arent adheared to, occasionly resulting in deaths..But usually these arent caused by enthusiaists as much as they are caused by delinquents with not respect for any laws....for this we get a bad name.....Cool cars are a temptation and thus spawned from satan P.S. that satan bit was a joke btw
