  2. Are u sure thats a 34 turbo cause i got a S1 33 93 model, and it has the same code (45v2) on it...
  3. Why not buy a R34 non turbo..still a great car to learn in and they look horn, then later when your bored of it and get a power upgrade you will already have great skills driving it....that is assuming you dont wreck it in 3 years Just dont try be a hero and drag turbo skylines cause you will most definately lose.. and dont succumb to every falcodore driver, they will all try race you..
  4. No i agree, it is wrong.. .. thats what rentals are for Bahahahahaa!!!!!! f**k off thats what there detailer gets paid for +1

  7. Since ive seen the price of stag wagons, i wish i had of got one...GC low kms under 10k...but it had to be turbo (to offset the ugly factor) which i think meant they wouldnt insure my girl until 25.... but yeah good value...
  8. maybe..but still very girly.. I've shown him a few sss pulsars , even a v6 5spd camry 1 owner 82000kms...that would move...even a few 200sx in price range...i just dont get the lancer fascination I even met a guy selling a tomi makinenen edition evo... worth taking a loan out for if u ask me... but no...
  9. me too... But no
  10. Thats some damn good mileage mate.. Yeah he has a hyundai excel atm, im trying really hard for him not to make the same mistake again.. He has very little mech knowledge so it needs to be something simple.. Im all for the honda too but i cant find one cool enough at the right price...a couple of nice integras, but they are old. looking through carsales but its amazing how many high mileage hondas are there in really good condition
  11. Yeah , all of those cars are better than any lancer ive seen, and much better value
  12. Flirted with the idea of a falcodore,(it would be my choice) but i think he wants something better on fuel.. But when you get four blokes in a 4 cylinder they suck juice anyways... R34 sedan would be cool, might throw that one at him, would you get one for 10k but i kinda get the feeling that lancers are the IN thing these days, im old so wouldnt know anymore...lol I have no idea why unless it has something to do with EVOs, but the average lancer is nothing like an EVO P.S.Just found this, i reckon its cooler than a lancer http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/privat...id=124B038FEC8B
  13. Brother in law just got of his P plates and has about 10k to buy a car, he seems pretty set on a lancer but i reckon there has to be something better......I may be wrong, but there just too girly to me So throw some opinions at me, ideally post 2000 and under 100,000kms
  14. Yeah i often dont understand me either
  15. BUMMER!!!!!!!
  16. So they dont have interceptor packs anymore..police cars have always had better packages id be surprised if they are different now..even the standard cars get fatter tyres and sports suspension, i reckon there'd be a few engine mods there too.
  17. No doubt there is heaps, but what difference is a hummer supposed to make? Is it just meant to look scary? Or were they donated by hummer as a publicity stunt? I dunno, i think its all out of control, police should be upholding the peace, not enforcing the law... But if everybody else is driving around in v8s and hummer then they may as well to...
  18. Is that all, I was kinda hoping it would turn into an alien robot that would attempt to destroy humanity, well r32 drivers mainly, they're all so grumpy
  19. You do know the toyota plant is in Laverton, im not certain they make corollas but i know the make camrys there And yeah ive seen those hybrids too, apparently they are getting good milage too a few have over half a miilion kms and havent had any problems f**k yeah!!! & Whats even worse is that the hume hwy is better quality road than what the germanians are doin twice the speed on I think a big part of what may be stopping them is these critters called Kangaroos, have u seen the pics of the Z4 that hit a roo at 220kmph.. plus cause we are so vast if someone has a major accident out in woop woop..they will be long dead b4 anyone finds them.. They are also loaded up with better engine packages i believe..They are not loaded with any more equipment than your average doof doof mobile anyway has Sydney got Hummer police cars yet, Ive seen them in melb Apparently they are to combat weekend violence, guns, batons, mase, tazers, and the backup of a small army arent enough to tackle a few drunken yobs anymore, apparently they have to run them over as well now.
  20. haha also enjoy the police that hate ricers more than melbourne ones..especially since some kid died street racing If your old enough to be on your Ps arent you old enough to move out from your parents anyway..Why be worried about moving state?
  21. Not sure how a fire extinguisher and helmet will transform the car ?? Mate had one of these b16 engines, he put a b18 block with some new pistons and upped the compression to about 11, put the standard b16 head back on it...went like a cut cat....if you havent got that much cash just raise your comp even will liven it up heaps...doesnt cost much to shave ya head Vtec isnt made to make you go warp speeds, its just meant to supply a more lively driving experience which they do well... Oh yeah...I love hondas, almost as much as my nissan
  22. Im pretty sure an 800hp gtr could outrun it The aussie police cars are nothing to sneeze at , V8 commys arent exactly slow.. As well as that germany also have autobahns, there is no reason for police here to even have the overpowered cars they do.. Make em all drive corollas i say, ..,they are quick enuf and more friendly to the environment as well...And we would be paying less taxmoney to fuel the suckers.. Give me one reason why our police need these huge cars... same goes for taxis...
  23. I originally only came here to mention i was happy with the Motul oil, funny how things snowball.. Oil viscosity is relatively simple once you know what the numbers mean, but you also have to know what the engine in question will prefer, this mainly comes from experience. The only way you could really tell if one oil is better than another is to test them all and i dont have the time, the money or the care for that..I did my research mainly here and Motul seems pretty popular with the nissan crowd (and the import crowd in general) and i only wanted to change my oil once. Now it starts easier, runs smoother and revs more freely, not a huge difference but i notice it. On another note the Castrol edge, which i wouldnt even consider for my nissan, seems to be very popular with the v8 crowd! Its all about the variables, you cant teach these, you can only discuss and let each person make there own choice. Some oils are better than others to the trained eye, but any oil is good oil, the main thing is that your engine has oil in it. Guy i know just stuffed a good engine, he bought the car brand new, gave it an oil change at 40k with cheap oil that burnt out (Ausfield i believe).. Because he never checked the oil and had so much crap on his dash that he didn't see the oil light come on, he ran it dry and did a bearing or something somewhere. Still runs but sounds like shit. Unlucky for him it was just out of its 100k warranty, although i doubt they would have honoured it with no service history.
  24. Hey sorry guys..like i said im no expert so please dont take my thoughts as gospel..or even advice... They are simply my thoughts on the subject of oils.. Correct me if im wrong, but often with hipo engines if its to tight things tend to break easily.Especially on cars with forced induction. So a loose engine is a good engine, which is why thicker oil would be used, plus to tolerate high temps.. Ok on a new engine this maybe different..there is lots of variables as miran stated... As a general rule of thumb on normal petrol car engines. Most new cars i see recommend something between a 0-40 synthetic, as an engine gets older i would thicken the oil to a 10-50 maybe preferably synthetic but not a necessity if changed regularly, and a tired engine will be burning oil no doubt so any oil will be fine as you will be topping it up regularly anyway..cheap oils usually come in 20-60.. A hipo engine will tend to show the traits of an older engine much earlier, where a factory engine may start tiring at 100,000km, a hipo will be in this condition after 10,000 due to the stress it is under, once again thicker oils I asked the guy in repco what he new about oil the other day, he said it was slippery..lol..(smart ass) I also asked if he had wheel nuts, he said what are they for, i said to hold the wheels on.. He suggested a few diff oils, but i bought the Motul 8100 cause its what i wanted, the hot chick said so and i was getting confused.. I was happy with my choice and would recommend it Im not trying to be too technical i am generalising only.. If this thread is for experts only i will go talk oil in the wasteland I am here to discuss and learn not to preach....
