  2. I have a set of front EBC Red stuff front brake pads brand new in the box for a set of AP 6 Pot calipers, or 6 Pot Harrop calipers. I bought them trade price at $315 without delivery and did not use them. I will sell them for $280 with free postage anywhere in Australia.

  4. Drive back to Sydney was great. A little boring driving in a straight line....lol. I have not driven a fast car for about 6 years, and none of them handled like this one does, so this was an awesome way to get reacquainted. I have a fair bit of practice to do in order to get the most out of this beast, but that is half the fun and will be trying to get some track time in shortly. My fiancee Anna came with me to Melbourne on Saturday when I picked the car up. She could never see what I ever saw in a Nissan skyline GTR, and said she way prefered euro cars.....she said to me on the way home. "I finally get it now, I know why you wanted another GTR..........this car is bloody awesome" (She is a wonderful girl) Well I think she had just as much fun buying and getting the car as I did. To tell you the truth JAGR33 I did not inspect a whole lot of them. The thing that really attracted me to this one was that it is set up for circuit, and is what the GTR is all about IMO. The bottom end and block has been done right, and the suspension and brakes are to match. I really liked the fact that the car has not been just boosted and every last KW extracted from it, and suspension has been looked at very closely. Im sure the car will see its problems from time to time, but thats what cars do......they wear out. But I know with this one that the donk is built with reliability and with adequate power in mind. I saw a lot of GTR's with a lot of bling factor, and not as much in real world performance. I am very happy with this cars balance of style and performance, and infact looks quite conservative compared to some, but still looks tough, which is what I like. I went with Aaron on Saturday morning for a test drive, and he took me for a run through a nice little course that had me with a grin from ear to ear. I was very impressed. I drove it for a bit after that, and felt very nervous (as you would be) and managed to break the power steering belt in a few minutes.(murphy's law) A trip to the shop and 20 mins at Aarons house and all was good to start the big drive to Sydney only to just get out of Melbourne with about 10 mins to spare in avoiding the big storm...........way to close for my likeing, but made it out alive.....fffffeeewwww. I will invest in some different tyres for the track, and maybee some street orientated front pads for the squealing factor (street use). I might leave the camber on the car until the first track day with good rubber and see if it is worth taking any camber off or not. Its a lot of camber for the tyres that are on it, but im sure with stickier rubber it will be a whole different story.
  5. Oh yeah....the stamp duty and all the other day light robbery charges you have to pay. It is a lot of money, but unfortunately we have to either like it or lump it when it comes down to it. When buying and owning a car like this, I just cant help but turn a blind eye to being robbed by the RTA.....lol........ouch, it does hurt a bit.
  6. JAGR33, Ill be living in Melbourne next year, so it wont be gone long...lol
  7. Yeah I hope to do a few track days for sure. Eastern Creek would be nice.
  8. Thanks for your encouraging comments guys. Yes i am buying it on Saturday this week, providing everything is well with the car. My name is Simon and I am from Sydney. I was on SAU a few years ago but my account somehow got corrupted and I have had to start my account again from scratch. Anyway I am back, and It is going to be so good to have a GTR again......but this one is a lot heavier in modifications than my last R33GTR that I had 6 years ago. I hope to spend a lot more time back on the forum again.
  9. Saturday Aaron, and the garage space will return. I am getting very itchy feet, and cant wait!!!!
  10. Hey mate my i am in the market for nice GTR such as yours but will be a few months from having the available funds. I would like to have a look at it some time and have good talk about it with you. I dont believe in loaning money for cars anymore, so this would be a no stuffing around cash sale. Anyway if there is a time in the near future that i could inspect the car it would be great. I live at Mosman on the northside of Sydney. If some one gets in before me im sure they will be happy with there purchase from what i see in the pictures. Cheers mate, Simon.
