Are you given a grace period before you have to renew your rego or must you renew it by the given time or else you have to get your car reinspected? So if i go on a long holiday, can i pay for the rego after i come back? Thanks in advance.

Apparently i can't send more than 1 PM. Phil i see you live south of the river which is also where the car is at. Also, i can give you a lift there and back too. My number is 0433337256, call or text me if you're up for it. Btw, i did a REVS check on the car, it said: This vehicle or vessel is not recorded on REVS. It does NOT have money owing on it. now is that a good thing or a bad thing to not be recorded on REVS?

Thanks for the response and help guys, current mechanics are more than welcomed lol. There's a lot of hate towards the RAC checks saying that if they were only good for normal cars like the getz. Anyway, PMs sent to you 2 who offered! hopefully we can work something out.

the owner told me xspeed charges a very high price for the inspections. He recommended autobahn i think. is that a reliable workshop? thanks for the link. Can i fit the steering wheel on myself or is there a special machine that does it?

And one more thing, how much does it cost to get a steering wheel (better to have an airbag) fitted on?

I gave xspeed a ring and they don't seem to be free this week apparently they're tuning their cars for targa west. are they any workshops that can go down to the place to check the car? The owner is away and its difficult for me to arrange things with his wife..

what about the steering wheel? The price of that one is a bit above my price range, also the mileage is very high. The black does look good tho. Its kinda hard to do that when the owner is away and i'm more or less dealing with the wife. I just filled in the quote online waiting for them to get back to me. Thanks for that, i've never heard of that company before tho.

i don't know what 'belongs there' really means but momo is a sports steering wheel, so i assume its supposed to 'belong there'? what do u guys think? Also, regarding the REVS, The owner of the car bought the car from a dealer so i would think he's the first owner here in australia? Whats the number for REVS anyway, i think i'll give it a go. By VIN you mean Vehical ID right?

I've seen the car already, the steering wheel is not the original one and the air bag light keeps showing on the speedometer. The current steering wheel doesn't have an airbag. Is that ok?

Guess what guys, i made a deal with one of the GT-T owners to get the car. If all goes well, i might very well own my first skyline! Is the RAC check any good? Should i bother getting it done? My gf's parents are a bit apprehensive about getting the car without checking it professionally.
