Hi there. Have got an r32 with rb25 engine and gearbox. have got about 18-19mm of travel at the slave cylinder but it is not enough to properly release the clutch. Have changed the master to a 33 one but made no difference. have adjusted the master cylinder pushrod completely but max get about 19mm travel Can anyone confirm the correct amount of travel for the slave cylinder on an r33 gtst? have also tried longer rod in the slave but makes no difference and also tried a different, larger thrust bearing carrier.

Hey guys i have a Red top rb20 from an early hr31 skyline. im missing a few things from it but would like to cpmplete it to use it in a car in the futue. first of all im missing the turbo manifold, was wondering if late model red tops and even silver top manifolds are the same? second the flywheel, will a silvertop flywheel fit? also will a manual rb30 from an ADM skyline flywheel and gearbox fit? cheers -Alex

Hey everyone my 32, currently unregoed but its not defected or anything, can get walk in rego. Car: Black 2 door r32 gtst, 1990 Km: 82,XXX The Good: Rb20DET engine 5 speed trans Extreme Cushioned Button HD Clutch, Replaced about 5,000kms ago VG30 High flow turbo, Runs standard Boost (10Psi) 3 Inch Trust Exhaust, one muffler at the rear. No Cat, Comes with High Flow Cat, can put in at buyers request K & N Pod filter Large Front Mount Intercooler with stainless steel piping New rack boots, New rocker cover gaskets, New speedo drive seal approx 3,000 k's ago LSD GREDDY coilovers all round, 32 way adjustable damper, also height adjustable. Handles Real nice (comes with standard suspension all round as spares) Front and Rear Strut Braces Advan Super Wheels 16" red and black Boost Guage Apexi Turbo Timer Alpine Head Unit, Descent Speakers i think also alpines. Sub and Amp in the boot, Sub mounted to rear strut brace, amp needs mounting Remote Central Locking/Alarm system The Not so Good: Clutch master cylinder is leaking fluid, have to top it up regularly. I bought a new one to replace it but ended up being the wrong one, but you can pick one up for about 75 bucks usually. The Paint is ok but will come up descent with a cut and polish. and there is a small dent just near the rhr wheel arch. and some of the paint is flaking a little on the side skirts. The Front bumper is broken in one corner but still looks good. The Remote for the central locking caseing is broken, but still works. Think you can get it repaired/replaced for under 100 The car got defected a while back for 15mm too low but i had no troubles getting it through regency, just had to quieten the exhaust and put the standard struts in. The car is very clean underneath. and has had the oil changed regularly since i have owned it. It drives nicely, and Goes pretty hard for an rb20. Price: $8,000 ono. No swaps as got to many cars already Contact: Alex, 0403 279 862, cheers. Car is located in Northfield SA. about 10 mins from the city

Sub and Amp in the boot, Sub mounted to rear strut brace, amp needs mounting Remote Central Locking/Alarm system, Remote needs a new caseing but still works Have had the car for about 14 months now with no major dramas, only thing that went was a clutch a few weeks after i got it. it got defected in December last year for being too low (was only by about 15mm). but i got it off defect reasonably easy, just changed the struts around and quietened the exhuast and put a cat in it. and it passed first go. when i took it through i also had rocker cover gaskets done and speedo drive seal and steering rack boots. The car is very clean underneath. It drives nicely, Goes pretty hard for an rb20. Has a small dent above the Right hand rear wheel arch. Would like to get rid of my debt which is my reason for selling. Price: $8.5k ono. Will consider Swaps but mainly would like cash. Contact: Alex, 0403 279 862, cheers Pics:

Can't Test Hicass
WrenchesInTheGears replied to Denis the Menace's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
i reckon you either dont have a steering angle sensor or yours is broken, i had the same thing, had to get a new clock spring coz the guys before had modified the original one, hicas light always came on after about 10k's before, n couldnt get hicas diagnosis, now its perfect -
OK so im halfway through changeing my rear cradle as on my old one, one of the control arm mounts broke off. When i took the old cradle out on each side of the cradle bushes were some alloy spacers (not sure if they are standard, but they sit on top and bottom of the bush, they fit into the groove in the bsh to locate them and on the upper ones sit flush with the top of the bush centre. im about to put my rear end back in but when i sit the upper spacers on top of the new cradle the bushes sit about 5mm proud of the spacer so if i put them in like this the spacer would not have any effect? im not really sure what to do. are the spacers standard? can i get slightly bigger ones? and where from?any advice would be appreciated

the way i did mine and the way i do clutches at work is just wedge a pry bar or flathead on the teeth of the flywheel and against either the ground if ur at home or a bolt if uve got a hoist or a small prybar. you can put rope/cord down your cylinder, just make sure it wont leave any bits behind, easy as way to do valve springs

Rb20 Problem Need Quick Solution!
WrenchesInTheGears replied to Ty$'s topic in Engines & Forced Induction
maybe get a compression check, if its the head gasket thats gone as soon as it will try to boost it will just be leaking the boost out of the gasket, hence no boost, and you would have to be really stupid to put oil in the radiator, ther may not be coolant in the oil because its more combustion gases that are getting into the coolant, when ur car has been sitting over night does it turn over slowly for the first crank, if it does it could be coolant leaking back into the cylinder, but twhen its running the combustion is pushes into the coolant.
