can u explain how the clutch would wear out faster? the lighter flywheel was already in the car, and i have had no troubles with the idle or taking off at the lights, no noticable revving up, ive been getting mixed answers about whether i should keep it or not, i am leaning towards keeping it as it was already in the car so id hate to put the standard one in and find that the car doesnt go as hard as before. cheers for the answers guys

alright guys im halfway through changin the clutch in my r32 gtst, its pretty standard just the usual fmic, exhuast, vg30 turbo and pof filter. i bought a second hand flywheel and had it machined so i woudlnt have to bother getting it done with the one in my car i could just swap, however i just took the box and old clutch out and the flywheel in there is a lightened one, by that i mean it has a hole bunch of large holes drilled into it around the edge, whats the benefits of a lighterflywheel, should i keep this flywheel (if i did i would go and get it machined of course coz its very glazed) or should i just chuck the standard one in? thanks -Alex

spotted on port road a grey r33 with some spokey wheels, had sau sticker on back right window, i was next to ya and in front of ya for abit in my white ke70 rolla with all the stickers on the back. drivin that hunk of shit till i do the clutch in the 32

i can get a fully synthetic mazda oil that is pretty good quality 5-40 viscousity, should i use this? or stick with valvoline durablend which i think is 15-50, i have a 32 gtst

my r32 rev limiter is at 8,000rpm, and as far as i know it is standard, a mate of mine thought it was pretty high for standard tho..

there is no spark from the coil..

yes fuel its almost definitly an ignition problem it doesnt spark or have a pulse at the coil. except when it occasionaly runs

Hey everyone my mate has got an rb30 r31 wagon (just an aus spec one) anyway, it wont start he has replaced the coil, and the coil reistances are 1ohm and 9,000ohm it has got power on ignition however it does not have a pulse to the negative side whne u crank the engine over we have a feeling it could be the cas in the dizzy but heres the weird part it starts sometimes, and when i mean sometimes i mean hardly ever 2nite we were working on it for a while just checking the stuff i just wrote, and it started at one point, turned it off, turned it on n it started again. turned it off tryed again n now it wont start... anyone got some more things to try to diagnose what it is. also a proper wireing diagram would help. cheers -Alex

i have one of these installed in my car the auto function doesnt work, but that doenst realy bother me what bothers me is that i cant lock the car with my remote when its stil running else the alarm goes off. anyone know how to fix this>?

air leak? make sure all ur hose cvlamps are done up proerly

yeahp, just had a look at mine, thats where it is also just found my master cyl has a leak when i looked lol

My clutch slips on hard boost in 3rd and sometimes 2nd and has Sweet f**k all free play, how is the freeplay adjusted, anyone know (r32 gtst)? thanks -ALex

i get a few clunks in my drivetrain (r32 gtst), like crusing in 5th gear going say 60, backing off the accelrator and going back on, even if its not heavily, the rear end seams to knock abit,

what tyres have u got? hows your wheel alignment? and tell us the rest of ur setup
