  1. nah fluid level is fine. who can i take it to for a reconditioning?
  2. in the past few days my power steering pump has been making whiney groaning noises, and not just when turning the wheel..... it was sort of on-off, especially when it was cold.... now it's noisy-as ALL THE TIME. i thought for a frightening minute that my turbo was rooted because the sound came from that side of the engine and picked up volume with revs.... but it definately sounds like the pump, and i've had trouble with it before (line cracked and it ran dry). weird thing is, steering seems fine physically (no dead spots etc, pressure seems normal) any idea how much a new pwr steering pump would cost? i.e. from cresta or alljap or somewhere? or could it be something more sinister???
  3. thanks heaps guys.
  4. so i'm assuming u're running a FMIC as well.... that was gonna be my "next step". still running stock cooler.
  5. thanks dude, very helpful info. 214rwkw with stock fuel system..... stock turbo too? :-)
  6. so basically set the S-AFC dials back to 0. is 10-12psi safe with standard fuel map?
  7. cheers for the advice. what's a decent session on a dyno likely to set me back? few hundred? any good places in brisbane?
  8. i've got old-style AVC-R and S-AFC and an HKS fuel-cut defender, and i'm looking to tune the suckers a bit better... car runs *okay* but i cant help thinking i can get more out of it. i want to run about 10-12psi boost (standard turbo/cooler), so does anyone have a decent S-AFC map i could use??? or is just the standard fuel map adequate for running that sort of boost? also, how do i throw the FCD into this equation? with the combination of avc-r, afc and FCD, i have a feeling that either a) my injectors/fuel pump are not stock or B) the owner of the car before me was a rich rice-boy with no clue and would have driven the car to an early grave by cranking up boost and fuel beyond the cars capacity... which brings me to my next question. is there any easy way of telling whether the injectors are stock? answers to these questions would be awesome.
