  1. I didn't know the factory reg was good enough, was just playing it safe seeing it wasn't that expensive. The fuel rail is just for cosmetics really...wanted to add some more colour to compliment the HKS adjustable cam gears and racing suction kit.
  2. Nothing wrong with the one I have, I only just had it flushed and cleaned a couple weeks ago when I was getting some other mods installed... that was when I was told I needed a bigger fuel pump and injectors due to the car leaning out after 8000 revs on the dyno.....the stock system is getting replaced with the parts below. I figured since I've paid for the additional fuel capacity I could go for a few more ponies with a larger front mount. 3. Hi Guys, Just checking if any 260RS owners have upgraded the front mount intercooler. I'm looking at buying the HKS R Type though wanted to be sure the one I'm looking at isn't too big and would fit okay with the front bar etc. Any help would be appreciated. HKS R Type intercooler: http://www.rhdjapan.com/hks-type-r-interco...dard-size-29465 Part Num: 13001-AN007 Type: R Core size / mm: 600×300.5×103
  4. I like the carbon kits..... http://www.final-motion.jp/stagea.htm I want something with vents to lower the engine temps. Does anyone know if you fit a S2 bonnet on a S1?
  5. Looking forward to seeing your new setup when it's all done. You should definitely look into seeing if anyone can repair the ecu. I've been having some issues with some recent mods myself, I got a bunch of HKS gear, adjustable cam gears for the intake and exhaust, oil cooler, catch can and the racing induction kit. They couldn't get enough fuel into the car, was leaning out with the standard fuel system so I've since purchased HKS fuel rail with HKS 600cc injectors and bosch fuel pump with HKS fuel pressure regulator. I also followed your advice on the redline and am getting some lightweight for the gearbox and diff, if you know the quantity I need approximately can you pm me please. Looking forward to the next cruise!
  6. I run 1.2 and .9 bar with my HKS evc 6. Running a pair of HKS GT-SS turbos. This is going to be it now, no more mods I can do without opening up the engine which would be a waste of money. If I do anymore it will be to add a HKS intercooler with polished pipes. Love driving the car, I thought the 260RS was a little heavy and slow when I first bought it but after the work I've done over the last year she's moving quite fast and don't really notice the extra weight of the wagon.
  7. I remember someone put some DIY intercooler cleaning but can't find it anywhere, think they had half and half mix of turpentine and metho from memory with a rinse of water at the end. I read on some other site people using vacuums to dry them out.
  8. I've got my car booked in here for 2 days next week. Getting a greddy oil can fitted with a bunch of HKS gear installed, oil cooler, adjustable cam gears for the exhaust and intake, belt & racing induction kit. Also getting the intercooler cleaned and redline shockproof in the gearbox and diff with a couple hours on the dyno. Hoping to get somewhere between 430-450HP. Hopefully it all goes smoothly. Will post again later once its all complete.
  9. This will be my first cruise also, looking forward to meeting everyone...... I'll meetup from Springwood.
  10. Got my braided brake lines fitted to the car today, well atleast the front anyway. For anyone else with 97 260RS, the R33 GTR braided brake line kits aren't a complete match. The fronts fitted without issues though the rears have a completely different connector. I've sent a message to the supplier giving them stock Stagea model types to see if they have done these before.
  11. I've got a 260RS myself and when I first bought it I found it was a little heavy through acceleration, dragging on boost rather than flying through it I guess...... easy to understand when you factor in the extra weight of the wagon. Seeing your wife wont let you sell the car you could compromise with replacing a few under performing parts. I've not spent much more than 10K in buying parts for mine and am getting 400HP at the wheels, it doesn't feel heavy anymore.
  12. That would send me into a fit if that was my car. Hopefully the guy has insurance and you wont be out of pocket getting it all fixed. Good luck with all your repairs.
  13. Hi Guys, I'll be coming along with my girlfriend at this stage, planning on starting from the Brisbane-Springwood location. I've got a S1 260RS with a few light mods, looking forward to meeting a few new faces and looking at what work you've been doing with your cars. Cheers, Adam
  14. Hi, Did you end up getting the money for the suspension? Just curious whether all 260RS S1 come with the Nismo S-Tune fitted?
  15. I didn't see this in time, I ended up buying them last night. I'll reply to this thread to let everyone know if they were the same in case there are others out there looking at doing this. I wanted them to add to my existing group buy for RDA slotted and dimpled rotors with ebc pads. Worst case i might be selling some ADR compliant R33 GTR braided lines and will get the existing one's measured to make custom ones.
  16. Afternoon, Has anyone with a 260RS S1 fitted braided brake lines to there car? Just curious as I've seen a seller on ebay selling adr compliant ones for R33 GTR, one thing the add mentions was that different version of R33 have different lengths which made me wonder whether I should just get one's for a C34 Stagea with R33 brembo connectors.
  17. Afternoon, First time poster. Looking for some help from a fellow 260RS S1 owner regarding rotor and pad replacements. For most parts so far I've been purchasing parts for the BCNR33 which for motor & electrics have so far been the same. Is this the same for rotors an pads too? best I;ve come up with so far for rotor sizes are from the link below which had them at: front 324mm, the rears 300mm http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Wr...60743&st=40 I've seen a group buy and was thinking of purchasing some of these but wanted to check with someone else who's done this already. These appear to be the same size and was thinking going with R33 GTR pads too but wanted to be sure. 4. R32 GTR (late model)/R33 GTR/R34 GTR: F=7701S 324mm RRP $355, R=7702S 300mm RRP $355 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Rd...98#entry4760398 Any help is appreciated.
