yeh that wont be happening. i bought badges from some scrag in kuwait and they are the wrong colour and mounting pins are wrong. so iffy about buying via the internet now

ah ok, well my origional radiator isnt like that at all. its just a "stumpy" ahah. Few of dads mates are top clas welders so i might get them to run a bead around the tube as a flange. if thats the way i decide to go. ive found another one, which is a flat top, for the same price, i emailed them about demenions and they havnt got back to me. i emailed ARE cooling, got a quote for $1170 for a custom made one.

yeh man ive already emailed them about that. although i cant see why i couldnt just "cut it off" before the bend. not to butcher it, but the pipe on the c210 radiator is only about 2 inches long, so im assuming on the 280z one, i could just shorten it before the bend. and im not sure if i want the slanted one! personally i think a flat top one would look better.

yeh but what do you think of the "look" of the slanted top tank. i thnk its only like that due to the zed cars bonnet comming down on a big slant. but i think it may look cool under the bonnet anyways??

ive got the overall measurements for it, they have them on the website. im gonna go measure my old blown out c210 radiator i have in the shed. and compare the too. i cant see how they would be too different. you got any ideas where i could get a c210 aluminium one?

i was pretty keen on the aluminium ones. i like the look of them and seeing as much car is going to fully restored, id like that look under the bonnet. ive got a 240k radiator in it atm, sime slight mods to get it to fit. whats the difference with the 280z radiators?

also, ive read about aluminium radiators making the engine run too cool, resulting in loss of power.. anybody give me a insight into this?

I dont thnk there is a problem trying to make my car JDM, after all, a nissan skyline is Japanese, the car looks better in its full JDM state rather than the AUS version with choc block tail lights,a "datsun" badge over the rear center garnish and GL badges. In my opinion im just putting the car back to what it realisticly, and numbers wise actually IS. I dont see how being picky and pedantic about the overall finish of my car, down to the badge coloursis a bad thing? Seeing as im spending alot of time/effort on this car, ill make it as close to PERFCT as i can?

hi mate, Yes, ive got the S with the black background on my steering wheel. also i have the grill "S" badge and the S that is in the center hub cap for the wheels which are all also blue. do you have any idea what the colours mean?

hey guys, i know the colour of the GT badge wont "make or break" the look of my car, but i want to make my c210 as close to origional and even this is annoying me. Im putting the car back to its Japanese state, not Australian. Ive got the stove tops got rid of the block tail lights, and not putting GL badges on it, but GT badges.. they are avalibale in BLACK/WHITE BLUE/WHITE RED/WHITE Ive heard numerous stories about what colour badges was put on the cars, fuel injected, turbo, carby, all meaning having certain colours. DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY INFORMATION ON THIS!??????

Hey guys, kev here. Starting working on my c210 the other day, and the damage thankfully looks only to be consmetic, with no damage to the chassis or major damage to the suspension, only the lower control arm and ball joints look buggered. Im asking what colour badges the METALLIC GREEN C210's came out with. I know in japan the cars had a GT badge, and the aussie models a GL badge. they were avaliable in RED/WHITE, BLUE/WHITE and BLACK/WHITE. what colour do i put on my metallic green c210, i want to make it as origional as possible!! As far as im concerned it doesnt matter what car is your pride and joy, wether its a dihatsu sirion or a lamborghini it all comes down to your repsect for the vehicle, and others should repsect that. the fact that i rebuilt the engine of my c210 with my dad, and spent countless hours, even at the age of 16, working on my c210. Thats why my SS is my daily driver and work car, although i respect that aswell, i would rather it be written off than my skyline.... i would refuse a million dollar offer on that car, without hesitating. Ghostrider, any parts you can get for c210's would be great but i will give you a more direct list on things i need when i begin the resortation of my c210, AGAIN! GRRR..

yeh no shit eh, poor c210's the matter wasnt in my hands though not my fault. And yer ive got a 2002 VU SS ute as a daily banger/work ute, i keep the datto's for good hahhaha

thanks Mastadd, i think Socrates may be in need for those surrounds more than me, weve both had unfortunate things happen to our c210's. im still waiting for a reply from the insurance company, soon im going to be ringing them up asking what the hell is going on with my claim. ive got my second C210 parts car that i can pretty much fix my other car with, although another front bumper would be very handy.

hey guys i havnt been on in a while. long story short on the 5/10/2010 my c210 was hit head on by a oncomming dickhead who was "blinded" by the sunlight. I was dropping my girlfriend home and came over a large crest in the road around the corner from her house, slowed to about 20 kmph as i approached the bottom of the hill towards the t junction, and a dooshbag in a black toyota echo came around the corner, up the hill, into the direct sunlight and onto my side of the road. i moved over as much as i could in my lane, got both my car up on the verge and this bloke hit me head on at about 60kmph.He swerved at the last minute causing him to hit my drivers side front end, (direct impact with the headlights) which swung his car around and it scraped the whole drivers side of my car. He says he couldnt see, which is understrandable as the sun was setting over the top of the hill in direct line of his sight. What i dont undertsand is why he continued to increase his speed although he couldnt see where he was going. Lets just say he is lucky to be alive... not from the accident, but from my reaction. His car was written off, and mine has had the whole drivers side front end (bonnet, guard, bumpers etc) and drivers side of my car ( drivers door, drivers side rear door and rear quater/bumper moulds) with various scratches and grazings. My car has a fuly rebuilt engine, which i built with my dad, i painted it, polished the rocker cover for 4 days making it like chrome, new radiator etc. Lucky, the raditor supprt bracket is bent but it didnt split the radiator. so the engine is fine luckily. To make matters worse, the kids family aee a complete load of idiots with no regard for cars, no general respect and have made this issue very difficult for me to resolve. The blokes insurance offered my $100 for my car as a write off, and if i wanted it back i would have to hand in the plates, and go bid for it at pickles auctions.... I told them that wasnt a option and after much argueing with alliance insurance i wrote a letter to the exectutive of the company, explain my situation. They say the biggest payout i will get is $3000 and i get to keep the car,i guess ill have to settle for that. I will let you know the outcome! I WILL fix my car, i havnt another c210 as a parts car but any help will be appreciated. the car will be restored once again. and then im putting it in a shed and it will go to shows on a f**kin trailer.....
