Hey being a tightarse is better than some Westside lovin me thinks. I should be there, Pay day on Friday

Damnit!! Why do all the good ones have to be so far away? I mean if I want to get some decent spanking action on I'll have to drive 7 hours..... hmmm might be worth it though. So, when is that garage open Sqiuzz? Grrrrrr *Austin Powers voice* I can feel my body getting hot already. Whoops did I say that in public? I mean I'll be there Slip, unless I'm up North on a "Business Trip" heheh.

The reason SM (hmm sounds kinky heheh) have the best deals is because of their association with the government. But yeah they do supply a good deal over all, I would be surprized if someone was using a different company (unless they had a special deal with bundled house etc) Yes I forgot about stamp duty, I sucks balls it does. May if you could prove you bought your car for $5.00 hmmmmmmmm

ricknismo and BigRod, You may want to pop over to www.performanceforums.com and see if anyone has done this before. May not be skyline related, but they would be able to help with things like eng. certs etc. Good luck and let us know how you go!

The 180km/hr cut is correct. At these speeds most guages are very inaccurate. Mine cuts in at what seems to be 190km/hr, but it is actually 180. When you cut wire 53 into the computer you really need to put a switch onto it, as it can adverse side affects with power steering, HICAS and diagnostic functions. Plus who needs to have >180km/hr at their fingertips all the time?

Try www.meggala.com for extensive info on some import cars. For a few figures for the 240 with sr20 engine try www.silviaaustralia.com

I just paid mine 2 days ago. $344 for 6months. $678 (I think) for 12 months. Rego doesn't depends on sports/family/transport etc. It depends on size and fuel type among other things. Eg 4cyl , 6cyl/rotary 8cyl, then petrol or desiel. Obviously trucks etc have different rates but I think you get the idea

Pull your gearknob off, remove the dash (do a search for explicit instructions) remove your stereo and any guages you have mounted in the dash. I would thoroughly clean all the plastic vents and passages with a damp cloth, then spray with a eucalyptus (sp?) oil/water mixture (being ashmatic you may know all about inhaling eucalyptus vapours etc). This kind of mixture will help you clean grime off and will not only mask the smell of smoke, but also get rid of it. If you spray freshener everywhere, chances are it will f**k with you even worse then just the smoke). With the dash off you should be able to get a fair amount of it clean. Also get rid of ALL dust you can get the vac to. Remove all the matts, vacum them. Then vacum car. Once this is done I would bust out the Britex from Woolworths (Safeway). Usually around $25 for a night. This does wonders for your car. Just use cheap wool wash don't buy the Britex detegent crap. Now cut sick on you car with the Britex. Change the water often. Don't forget the roof, back seats, the back of the front seats, the matts you vacumed etc. If you are getting a bad smell, I would let it air overnight, then do it again in the morning. Not only will you get rid of +90% of the smell, you're fabric will looks outstanding and it will feel a lot nicer. This also has been known to generate around 15nose kw, so watch out for the extra power. Also with cleaning out the aircon, once you remove your dash, you should be able to work out which vent to spray that can into. Just remember that you need to take it nice and slow, do it right the first time so you don't need to get the britex out again.

Yes he certainly may be using scare tactics, but remember the important fact. He wasn't a prick about it. The fact that he didn't hit the roof and blow a nut says to me that he sort of understood where you were coming from. How many horror stories and bad rumours about the cops are going about, people need to recognise that coppers aren't all bad (most of them anyway). I would cop this one, taking it to court may be great if you win, but sometimes the consequences aren't so good. Oh and I have had my fair share of fu(king arsehole cops, don't think I love them or anything, but you need to recognise when someone has done you a favour.

I would be interested, but hopefully by then I'll have sold my car. $150 is a bit of money, but I guess it is worth it. I guess it will depend. When does money etc, need to be in by? Also for the skidpan day, would there be people demopstrating/instructing on drift etc? Thanks for all the hard work oorganising Slip ,keep it up mate!

Ahhh DR GTR you flatter us Yes I agree QLD is a great place, the further north you travel the nicer it is. Glad to hear you had a great time and enjoyed your stay. With regards to bogans, as long as you don't start heading out Ipswich way you're normally pretty safe. Cheers, Tim

FS: 93 R33 GTST - Sunshine Coast

I am specifically looking for a cheap non turbo 89-92 Silvia. Don't care about looks, but the mechanicals need to be in good order. -
Ronin 09, As far as I know, Nissan don't have dodgey senders/gauges etc. However it is common for the oil pressure sender to fail. This is usually due to poor maintenance rather than a defect in manafacturing. With regards to your pressure it does seem low. Idle should be around 2 at 6k rpm it should be around 6. The first thing I would do is try an aftermarket gauge. Then replace oil sender, then go from there. Also check that you are running a high quality synthetic oil Eg Mobil 1 5w-50w. If you search the forums you will find many other suggestions for oil. Regards, Tim

Where is the best place in Queensland to buy a skyline
hitnrun replied to jward24's topic in Queensland
Agreed, don't go there. Import it or buy second hand - which luckily enough, mine is for sale http://forums.skylinesaustralia.com/showth...=&threadid=7737 Cheers, Tim -
Thanks for that Dave, appreciate it mate. Luckily it wasn't my car, just posting for poor Sir R33. I don't know the details, only that he's not sure whether to replace or repair. If anyone has some more suggestions feel free. Cheers, Tim

Not really a WTB but here goes. Could someone give me a rough estimate on what these panels/parts would cost second hand. Bootlid Spoiler Rear bumber Anything else that would be needed to be replaced after having a accident with a brick wall Basically trying to sus out whether it is better to repair current panels or buy second hand. Thanks, Tim
-
Guys can anyone give me estimates on the cost of second hand: Boot lid Spoiler Rear bumber? Some one had an accident with a brick wall, and needs to know if it will be cheaper to replace the panels, or to get it fixed by a Panel beater. If anyone could give me suggestions and pricing it would be great. Thanks, Tim

MicK51, Sounds good but some of us aren't into inflicting strain on our vehicles........... but that ain't me heheheh. I think you will find a lot of people won't go to drags for whatever reason. Me personally I would love to go down and am planning to soon, but no money at moment and it's a pretty friggin long way. Plus I'm a piss weak pu55y, [insert abuse here] mummies boy May be we can organise some more regular track and strip days, say once every few months at least, but until then we need to get more (paying) members. The best way to do that is to have regular cruises etc. Still all I need for drags is long sleeved clothing, fire exh. and helmet right?? What is the cost? Is there usually many people at the test and tune? I may seen if I can get down after New Year, before work starts again.
