  1. Macka, The boost is stock, I just have noticed that when I have the shuddering/surging problem it seems to be a smidgeon higher than 7psi. But apart from that I haven't touched the boost at all. I actually haven't fried the clutch, the clutch was faulty when I bought it. I have been through far too many hassles with Suzuki GTi's (don't ask) to know about ****ing clutches. I have treated my girl real nice, no burnouts or any stupid **** like that. I can't afford to have my car off the road because I use it for work. Basically the car yard agreed to replace my clutch because it wore out so soon. I called up AVWG, the initally said they would cover it, then they palmed the blame off on to the car yard. Anyway, hopefully I can work out something to get a heavy duty, cause my mates Skyline did the same thing to 3 clutches (while still at the workshop). Anyway, does anyone have more ideas about this surging problem?? Cheers
  2. Guys from my understanding and talking to the fools at the local auto shops, I though that the platinum plugs were better than the iridium plugs, and that the iridiums were marketed for dunnydores that wanted better than copper, but couldn't afford a better car or plugs?? So I guess the question is, which is better, which is more expensive and which is better in a turbo skyline? maybe we could have some suggestions from users of both, that might help the rest of us when paying for $20 plugs (At least we don't have to get "performance leads" ahahahahaha)
  3. As far as I'm concerned, I payed some damn good money for a damn good PC, and I don't give a **** what anyone tells me, any game on the Xbox will come out at some stage on the PC. I mean the Xbox is just a lightly modified PC. If you read up about it, MS like most companies is losing money on the hardware to make money on the software. Therefore it stands to reason that any game that can *very* easily and quickly converted to PC, will also be sold on the PC therefore increasing their market to sell to. /Start of rant However I can't get GT3 on PC, Tekken Tag, Dead or Alive 2 (Although you never know, DoA3 might be on PC) etc. I bought a PSX for GT1,2 and THPS1,2. Thats it. Unfortunately I can't afford a PS2 right now, but when you spend like $2000 a year plus on your computer (My excuse is I'm a tech), I don't need ****ty console games. SOF2, RTCW Multi, WarC3, Morrowind (oh my god is so good) etc, are far better than any crap that comes out on consoles. Plus most of these games come with free internet updates ,patches, nude women... oh sorry ahead of myself. Anyway, I'm sure I've pissed off a heap of people already, so I'll shut up. But anyone who wants to ague which has better games, play Baldur's Gate 2 the whole way through, and then tell my consol games are better. /End of rant Cheers, Tim
  4. Hey Boxcar, You can put myself and a mate down (both got Skylines), however I will confirm first. I won't be drinking and I unfortunately have to go to work Sat night, but I will still be in if I can swing it. Cheers Tim
  5. Nismo_Boy, Put me down, I live 5 mins away from the BKT so I will be there. If we can organise it, a wet day or a night race is best. More fun. I think we can organise something if we have a group of 8 or more, but I can check. **Update - I just rang BKT - Price is $44 an hour, with 12 or more it is 10% off, so $40 an hour with 12 or more people** I can also bring a fair few guys (not all have Skylines, but doesn't matter on a kart day does it??). Anyway excellent idea dude, us Sunny Coast boys and girls got to get some more events going. To everyone who doesn't know The Big Kart Track is on the Glasshouse Mountains Tourist Drive, 2 mins out of Landsborough, 12 mins north of Australia Zoo (Steve the Croc Hunter) From North Brisbane, probably about 50mins drive with medium to light traffic. Cheers. Tim
  6. Cheers for that Macka, Will try it on the weekend. Unfortunately at the moment my car is getting the clutch replaced under warranty. The car is only 1 week old (Although I did know the clutch was on the way out when I bought it). Oh well better then wasting money on a piece of ****e commodore.
  7. Hi, I have a similar problem with my 93 r33gtst. When flooring it, the car surges at around 5 - 5500rpm. The boost seems to be peaking at about 8-9psi. It happens all the time when the right foot is flat, however, hold the acc just a smidgeon off full throttle, and it is sweet. It happens more in the cold, sometimes surging both at 4 and 5000rpm. Once it is past these revs, it continues on up to the rev limiter. I have had a couple of guys listen to it, doens't seems to be pinging, no strange noises. The car is totally stock, stock i/c, exh, wheels etc. Looks to be in good condition. The car is 1 weeks old. I haven't checed the plugs yet, or cam timing, but I don't think it is that anyway My only thoughts is that it might be the fuel cut?? or some kind of protection circuits coming into play or something along those lines. Dunno, but it is driving me insane because anytime I give it a bit, I have a surge, lost ground to dunnydores, then spend my time catching up. If anyone could let me know what's the go it would be fantastic.
