  1. Sorry dude Im in Sydney
  2. The thread size is M10 by 1.25
  3. Im sure Ive see something similar but it was a very long time ago ! My old timers is kicking in real bad after a few belts ! I think it was on a twin sequential supercharger set up from the late 50s early 60s. Maybe on a 2.6lt inline Alfa 6 engine, maybe a Sebring or a Fiat 6 ! Agrrr ! to many brain cells gone ! But what caught my eye was the Y section was fabricated out of box steel tube which made it easier to hinge the flap at middle of the Y section. The other thing that I remember they were running 42lbs of boost through it on a alcohol mix racing fuel ! Not bad for no intercoolers in their day(man was that an old fart statement!!).
  4. Dont know how decked it is as I got it that way as a job lot. The previous owner had it machined. He also scribed out the combustion chambers and was going to open them up to suit the rb30 the decided to go with a rb26 head instead. Maybe the new rb20det bare head would suit you better. Its ready to go and you can put all your gear into it.
  5. Ive messed about with superchargers over the years ! Maybe a better idea would be a single valve or flap that is mounted at the point where the Y section pipe meets it simply swings back and forth to each side closing of or opening up progressively as needed. Maybe it can be pressure operated from either the turbo or the supercharger ?
  6. Got a silver top, redtop, RB20de and a brand new in the box, bare, RB20det head. Problem is the rocker boxes are off them and I cant tell which is which. The silver top (i think) is a complete top end. Its been decked as the guy I got them off was goin to do a RB30 conversion with them then went with a RB26 instead. $280 for the silver, red and DE $350 for the new RB20DET
  7. I had a similar problem with my coils ! Yep they were cracked. I just cleaned then with solvent then coated them with polyester resin twice and that fixed it no problem. If you use the silicon some times it fails under excessive heat or even poor application. The good thing about the polester resin is that it gets in to the very fine cracks you cant see. If you use silicon on the coils first forget about the polyester resin as it wont stick to it .
  8. Make me an offer guys ! The Chief wants it out of the garage so she can put her new car in there so I need it gone.
  9. Tried to find the same basic issue with my car and wasnt sure if it was the coil packs and didnt want to lay out 500 odd bucks unnessesarily. So I pulled then out cleaned then and coated them with polyester resin. It turned out to be the problem even if I couldnt see the cracks. Fixed It a treat
  10. I probably would of went back to messin about with very old school 1967 HR Holdens ! God I miss my old 3.3ltr in line 6 red motor. That old mofo used to hum !
  11. Sorry guys and gals aint been lookin in this section lately ! MZTRBO dont remember the diameter of the dowl. Just got one that was a little over size just started trimming it down so it was a very tight fit then used the grease method a big hammer. Speed is your friend here, if you can hit it hard and fast all the better. As 260tech said the hydrolic shock usually does the job.
  12. Got a brand new Nissan RB25DET head gasket. $50. Pick up prefered in Sydney but will post at buyers expense. PM if interested. Thanks in advance guys.
  13. I also used the grease method but with a turned down wooden dowl I got from the hardware. So long as its a relativly tight fit it works every time !
  14. Turbo Gurus Of Skyline Land hear me ! I know that the VG30 exhaust hausing is used in high flow conversions but has any one bolted the RB25 exhaust housing onto the VG30 compressor side and seen if they get any better/worse results ? Thanks Guys
  15. Still got it Dudes !
  16. I think someone is going to use my fav saying sooner or later so I gonna beat every one to it this time ! Its gotta be the flux capacitor thats come loose and is rattling around.
  17. Does the underside of the bonnet have the standard shaped ribbing and accept the standard bonnet latch ? What suburb of Sydney are you located for pick up please ?
  18. Trying to find out if they are interchangeable ?
  19. Ha ! I was hoping to find this out as well as I have a brand new in the box RB20det bare head, as well as a bunch of other Rb20 heads sitting around and wondered what to do with them ! Search Engine here I come !
  20. Skyline Gurus ! Will a RB26 balancer fit on a Rb25 ? Thanks in advance !

    Rb30

Manley are about to bring out a rod for the Rb30 motor that are rated at 250+ hp each for around $1500.
  22. Hows the bonnet ribbing on the underside ? Cut out ? Is the top welded in or fiberglassed on ? And shipping cost to Sydney 2750 if you could please !
  23. All PMs replied to !
  24. Hi all I've got just about all the bits off it I want Car has about 205K on the clock as i have owned it for about 9 years The car went under a Holden Rodeo with an alloy table top. Slid it up the bonnet and up the A pillar pulling the roof down and continued down the side of the car The insurance paid out on it and its not a statutory write off just uneconomical for the insurance to repair. So its still registrable after repair. It still has the compliance plates attached. The motor is only a stripped short motor as I used it for a RB25/30 conversion. Its in there just to hold up the gear box. Everything else is rolling. The seat bolsters are worn as I used them on my present car. The only other thing that it different is someone offered me good money for the shifter and I replaced it with a RB20 one. Works fine except that you cant shift fast into 4th. The fuel pump has also been sold. Not breaking any more parts off it as I want the entire car gone. $2800 ono PM me if your interested Located in Sydney Thanks
  25. Depends on what style of locknut it is ! Most times they just get a cheap socket thats a similar size and hammer it over the locknut and go from there !
