  1. I dont agree with the car crushing bit even if it becomes a law. I seriously think the cars in question should be confiscated and then auctioned off with the money going to charity. I truly believe the original owner shoud have the chance to buy his own car back at auction if he wants and if he wants to be an idiot again, back to auction it goes. If your gonna hit em, hit em in the hip pocket. If the cant afford to buy it back then maybe someone more sense not to street race should be driving it !
  2. PM skyguy61 he has a brand new one that he may wish to get rid of
  3. Check that your clutch pedal box aint broken. Happened to me. It might of busted the spotwelds on one side.
  4. I change my plugs every second time I do a service. ( not with platinums obviously ). I service it every 5000km.
  5. Water pump $47 Idler and tensioner $146 CBC Bearings
  6. I get 550 easily ! I just put on my bowling hat, keep my eye on the boost guage and try to keep it off boost as much as possible cause when you shove your foot in it the fuel guage needle moves faster than the speedo !!!
  7. Dam it Sidd ! Your the one who beat me to that rear sway bar ! Ha HA ! Seriously though ! Shouldnt be a problem really as the majority of your body roll is controlled from the front so just get a heavy duty adjustable front one the same diameter as the rear. As to settings thats really personel choice. But I sugest you start at the lowest settings front and back, drive around for a while to get used to it then got up to the next setting and see how it feels. Hope this helps Dude
  8. Had mine done at Penrith Brake and Clutch in NSW. They tested it to make sure the springs were ok and re buttoned it for $155
  9. Doesnt look too bad ! A high quality clear casting resin or laminating resin are your friends here. Contact FGI in your state and show or tell them what you need and they will help you out.
  10. Very sharp glass work Dude ! Well done ! Did the pics I sent you make it through to your e-mail ?
  11. Nice bit of fiberglassing Dude ! I got pics of mine as well now fitted up so you guys can get an idear but dont know how to post em up ! Send me an e-mail to [email protected] and I'll forward them to you. Be warned though they are high resolution shots and 5 of em total about 12 MB so make sure youve got plenty of space !
  12. Brother ! My car had excatally the same clutch and it was also in for about the same time before it went and it was the clutch pedal box. I took it to a couple of clutch places and the reconed that I bent the new clutch when I put in the 3ltre conversion. Charged me an extra $350 to rebotton the old excedy and put it back in. All they did then was adjust the clutch rod up to the max and gave it back. Lasted about 2 days ! Took the car to another clutch place for a second opinion. They said it was either the master cylinder or slave cylinder. Recoed them as well ! Took it back again and was ready to kill people when the guy got upside down under the car and spotted the busted spot welds on one side of the pedal box thats why it was only partly working very much like yours ! Took it out myself and fully weilded it up and that fixed the bastard ! If you need a hand with it let me know I be happy to help a brother out. Ive also got a spare leaver that I was going to box in for extra strength. Rebending it might give you stress fractures and youll be back where you started.
  13. 14. Yep thats the style but the one Im looking at dont have the lock in the center bit. Just making enquiries at the moment to get them anodized in black
  15. Sounds like what happened to mine but the problem ended up being the clutch pedal box had broken the spotwelds and colapsed. Have you got a heavy duty clutch/pressure plate set up ? That usually busts em !
  16. I also started looking at my air box again after a bit of a break and was going to use small cabnet latches to hold the lid down. These are similar to the lockdown clips that the original air boxes use and are available from Bunnings. Three will suffice on my airbox as one side slips under the front gard. I was really after the speed of removal that the original latches have. also the one I have built is for the original intercooler piping.
  17. Theres a oil filter remover that I use on mine that suits it no problems. It looks like a pair of multigrips and the jaws are curved to go around the oil filter. This one works best on the r33s as Ive got about 5 different oil filter removers.
  18. Had one done a while ago at Penrith wholesale suspension but i think they went and sent it up to shockreco in queensland and added their bit on top.
  19. Will they fit a Rb25 for sure ? Im interested !
  20. I lived and worked in Malaysia for a while and had the pleasure of driving there and I can tell you that they have got to be the worst, bar none ! To survive I partially had to adopt thier dirving style which was basically is who dares wins combined with keeping the accelerator flat to the foor all the time !
  21. Was just curious is all ! Seeing the Ford have it now installed on the XR6s I was wondering if they out sourced the traction control unit or had it made in house by Ford themselves ! Was interested for mainly drag racing on the track. And I also actually thought about using the ABS sensors for that specific purpose. I am a bit surprised the isnt a redily available aftermarket unit out there. One thats not a squillion dollars that is !
  22. I saw Ford advertising traction control on their XR6s just recently and was wondering if anyone out there knows if it is available after market or if any one is running it on their rear wheel drive skylines( or any other rear wheel drive ) ???? Thanks Guys and Gals
  23. Like I said and if your keen to see it no problem organise to meet and I'll show you. Then you can judge for yourself if its any good or crap. You might even have a better idea to develop it even further.
  24. Oh yes ! I have helped a lot of brothers out on this forum for free and at my own expense as well and not thought twice about it cause thats what you do for people in a club. I put hundreds of hours into the development of that air box and I should just give it away ????? And dont get me wrong I aint after any financial gain for what I do and if someone asks to see it arrange to meet me and see it in person and have a chat on how it was done and I'll help out with them making one for themselves. Im cool with that.
