I have a R33 S1 and I wasnt too pleased with the method of hacking up your front bumper bar support, either horizontally or front on to fit a 600/300 intercooler. Structurally I dont know how this affects the ability of the front support section to absorb impacts. Also I wasnt to keen on advertising to every dog and his bone that I had a front mount. I really like the stock sleeper look. After much measuring I found that with very minimal trimming I could get the cooler sitting vertical against the radiator ( but not touching ), removing the original air con fan and mounting two 10 inch fans against the front of the cooler and hooking them up to the original wiring. Had to make a new bonnet suport bracket and made a stainless steel flat plate to sit on the top of the cooller to hide the whole thing from view if you looked down between the front grill and radiator support.

I went throught the supercharging thing on in line 6 cylinder engines back when the dinosaurs roamed the earth. Admitedly that was on Holden Red motors. I really carnt see why it carnt be done now even better with the multi valve twin cam engines of today. Considering my motor was making 497hp and 523lbs/ft of torque on pump gas and even more on alcohol !

Hey I had a similar experience at my local Maccas when 5 highway patrol cars and a bull wagon pulled in just as I was walking out of the joint and they parked all around my Skyline. I figured at the time "well thats it for me!".

PLYNX replied to pentae's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Coming out of Bunnings not long ago a guy asked me- "Is that one of them Skylines mate?" "Yep" I says. "I hear there pretty powerful" he replies. "Yeah there ok, about 250 horse power( mines a R33 GTST ) "Hey thats not as much as a 185kw Clubsport is it ?" Then sigh to myself and say, "Nah mate the Clubie's got more grunt I think" And then he tops it off with " What kind of V8 has it got in it ?" By this time I couldnt help myself anymore and hit him with- "Its just one of them Nissan ones" And walked off. Then found a convienient wall to beat my head against. -
I dunno if you should change the spark plugs "12000-15000" if they are platinium piped plugs. They are designed to last about a 100000km and are about $20-26 a pop. Certainly if they if they are regular plugs, 12k-15k is about right.

Its funny you know to hear about power caps on cars or modifing them. So whats Holden Special Vehicals doing or Ford Perfomace Vehicals ? Oh yeah ! thats right building 250-300 kw killers legally ! Nice ! So long as you got the cash and the government gets its cut its ok. They make me wanna puke with their double standards and hypocrisy. So long as you got the cash its ok. Give me a break. A low powered civic at a 130km/h into a power poll has about the same result as any high performance car. I just love political foot balls.

Hey Scooby; Whats a GTR R32 standard gear knob look like ? Is it the same as the standard R33 GTST ones ? Cause I got bunch of brand new ones.

Go somthing really retro man ! Like a 1967 HR Holden. They only weigh about a 1000kgs, got heaps of space under the bonnet, plenty of wheel arch space(295s with eez). Nobody looks twice at one at the lights but when you nail it with the RB25 your gone !

Check your messages Dude !

I'm after a drivers side power window motor for a '94 R33 GTST as mine is dead. Had to dismantle it to get the window up and use a bit of timber to keep it there. Any help appreciated

I hear your pain abcent. I currently have a prototype rear wing that I think will be the best of both worlds. A flat boot look and a rear wing section that rises up with the increase of speed of the car. Just at the moment looking at an adjustment for the tilt of the wing section at full extension. So you can set it almost horizontal while touring or increase the angle for more down force at the track with a push of a button. Let you know how it progresses

Seen a few over the years. A few memorable ones were; A mate of mine bought himself a new L34 Bathurst edition Torana and after it was run in we took it for a blast along the M4 at 2.30 one morning. After we had the thing up to about 235 a dark green 68 mustang pulled along side us. My mate stompped it and he stayed with us till the Torrie would go no more then pulled it back a gear and accerated off into the distance. What impressed me the most the thing looked stock. Man what a ride ! Another friend of mine had an old E30 van with a 5.7L Cleavland in it, man that thing could could mumbo ! Had an opertunity to but a VW Beetle with a 5.7 in it as well but passed it up cause it was pretty unstable at about 140. A Nissan Bluebird with a Rover 3.5L V8 in it was choice The list of nutters goes on ! There what I call sleepers( or Q cars in the good old days when the dinosaurs roamed supreem !)
