Hey GiJOr33 Might be a bit late now but there used to be small spark plug cleaners avialable that ran off your battery. These have a small sand blasting mechanism in them containing a very fine abrasive grit in them(zircon sand i think). I know cause i have one and the work a treat on platinium tiped plugs. I not long ago went through what you went through cause i have a big problem with throwing out perfectly good $26 plugs at a throw. Hope this helps and contact me if you got any questions Plynx

Hey guys ! I wonder if you can help me with head ID for my RB30 conversion.I got two heads. Ones a RB20 turbo(i think). I think its a turbo head by the valve sizes and individual port runners for each intake valve. Now heres the problem i got another head brand new, totaly bare. The valve sizes seems the same , maybe slightly larger but the bottom of the heads are different. There are more water jacket slots around the combustion chamber on the brand new one (which looks exactly like the head pictured with 62.2cc marked, in the Rb30 fact sheet) So which head is it ???? Im stumped ! Any help would be apreciated Thanks Guys.

R33 GTS25t Veilside Front Bar $150 FIRM
PLYNX replied to strutto's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Strutto; Is it a series I or series II front bar and is it fiberglass. Thanks Dude -
Hey Dude; i got my 600x300x90 into my r33 s1 typ M and it was a bit of a bitch. Had to mount it flush against the air radiator removing the original aircon thermo fan and built an entire new bonnet catch mounting bracket. Then i mounted two thermofans on the front of the cooler. You might get the 970 in if you are prepaired to hack away the entrie bumper suport brackets but then you have to watch out for the headlights and such. I say maybe but you better do a lot of measuring befor you start cutting.

Jay95R33; I think I got 4 injectors off a GTR 32/33 not exactly sure though. I just have to find the paper work on them. I'll do that tomorrow. Got them for a special development project ages ago. If your interested, let me know.

Hey Wil; I snapped my left mirror off on a tree branch and then tried to buy the metal bracket that suports the mirror from the parts guys and fornt they would only sell the entire mirror assembly for $300 so I repaired mine myself.

Cyric; I just fitted a GTR rear strut brace to my GTST( I hope you mean the one in the boot) And as you said I just tightened the begeebers out of it. The only problem that I saw with this was that the middle section of the brace looked crooked to the eye so I put a straight edge on the sucker and sure enough it was ! One of the rods was at a slight angle after I tightened it up, bastard ! The only way to get around this was to redrill the brackets about 8mm further out to reduce the thread length at the center adjusting nut. Now the bugger is straight and has the right amount of tension without being skewif. Just watch out that you drill thr hole exactaly in the right place(lots of carful measuring). Hope this is of some help Dude.

I was thinking of building a stock looking air box using two filters( possiblyone on the top and one on the side of the box) the main problem being with the stock filters is one of cross sectional area, hence the concertina folding of most filters. But a problem also lies in the intake ramp size of the box it self. I dont think it has the cross sectional area to suport high flow applications. The only ways I can see this being done is to increase its size or try and force more air into the apiture. And that looks as if you have to vent the air box funnel through the bonnet at the front of the vent and place a small intake scoop on top. As air pass over the front edge of the bonnet it is under pressure and should help the problem. Sounds good on the bench, might have a serious look at the box it self in the next couple of weeks

Skylines certainly are the best targets when it comes to the smash and grab boys. Them monster tachos and other guages arnt cheap and will turnover cash fast for the crims thats for sure I know speaking from experience. This time round the boost gauage and turbo timer went into the small glove box thingie under the CD player. The shift light I stripped down bolted the pill carrier to the steering cover on the left side out of sight and converted the light to one of them blue led washer squerters also on top of the steering colum cover looks neet and at first glance you miss it completly. Even though I have a top alarm system I still club lock the sucker with the lock facing the tacho/speedo gauges. That maks it tough for the bastards.

As far as i know the 300 is fully street regoed and is not race/rally. It was complied buy the Australian importer who told the guy that he was importing something bigger and better ???? When the guy bought the car I started to make enquires myself because wanted one. This was mainly because he purchased the car for $23 grand(yes i know i fell off my stool as well) this was about two and a half years ago. You can not imagine the amount of "Never heard of it" and "Dosent exist" responses i got . Very frustrating cause i know the car exists. The owner is very gun shy when it comes to seeing the car. A short while ago I had some dealings with the owner of Unique motor sports and learn that he was trying to fit the V8 engine into his track car and turbo charge it. When i mentioned to him about the street 300 he nearly fell over himself trying to get the guys details. Eventaly through a friend i managed to get the owner to call the owner of Unique so they could possibly exchange info. Unfortunatly the owner of Unique pushed the guy a little to hard for a meeting and was told to f off by the cars owner. And thats the last ive heard of it.

ANDY; JUST TO LET YOU KNOW HOW VERSATILE THE Q45 ENGINE IS I KNW THIS GUY IN SYDNEY WHOS GOT A SHORT WHEEL BASE 300ZX WITH A TWIN TURBO Q45 IN IT. I THINK IT CALLED A 300ZX GT OR THE LIKE. APPARENTLY HE GOT THE CAR FROM AN IMPORTER ON THE NORTH SIDE WHO GOT IT IN FROM JAPAN AS A STOLEN AND RECOVERED. THERE IS SOPPOSED TO BE A COMPANY IN JAPAN DOING THE CONVERSIONS. NOW IF THEY CAN GET THAT MOTOR INTO THAT ENGINE BAY I THINK YOU COULD FIT ONE IN JUST ABOUT ANYTHING.
