my experience in driving on Western Australian roads has been most unpleasurable.
in my first instance, i was on Reid Hwy, turning right into Nth Beach road. Behind me was an undercover white Ford police car, i could tell by the front lights and about 3 antennas at the back.
so i was waiting about 10 mins for a clear gap (i was driving a Honda Accord), and i saw them getting sort of wrestless. anyway turning into nth beach road the limit is 60, with a school zone nearby. because i was first, the police car was behind me, and i sat dead on 60 the whole way (people usually do 80, its single lane). anyway i heard the sirens and saw the lights in my rear view mirrors. i thought i had done some thing wrong, i started to pull over, but the police car kept going, it flew past me.
so i kept going at about 60, and up ahead near the traffic lights the police car was sitting there first at a red light WITHOUT sirens or lights, and was also turning, didnt indicate. did 50 through a school zone. and stopped at the gull petrol station..
ive got the numberplate details of that car... what can i do with it?
my second experience THIS WEEK was riding my bike, in mt lawley area, i was on a roundabout and indicated with my right arm that i was turning. a marked holden police car pulled out infront of me, i grabbed the handles with two hands, and back breaks locked and (wet road) i skidded behind the car and onto the curb. this woman in the co drivers seat wound down the window and said i need to be more 'careful'
