  1. Mainly to the door skin. I also stick a special plate of foam directly behind the speaker. It is placed on the inside of the metal door skin.
  2. hehe Hippy, Its just tint! I just don't want it to peel, bubble or fade. I want the darkess tint that is legal and I don't want the installers scratching, denting, thrashing my car. Isn't that what you want? Isn't that what everyone wants? If I get this at a reasonable price I will be very very happy. But I already have tint on all my cars already Just sharing my experience with Tint-a-car in the City near Nordic Honda.
  3. Hippy, I think you got the wrong dude. Just kidding, yeah its you know who. I was saving my identity to I could flame you about your driving skills, which are probably better than mine now =D 95GTST No worries dude, fighting resonance and rattles requires some experience, glad to help out. Btw, we just got a an R33 94 GTST. It's stock as rock, like a virgin on prom night ready for some action
  4. I recommend Tint-a-Car. Their service is the best, and the prices are competitive too. I bought the top of the range tint with life time warranty on fading, bubbling etc. 2 years later, I had a bubble in my passenger side, I went to the shop and the guy did not hesitate to fix it, no questions asked. Didn't even ask for a receipt. I guess not many people stock the type of tint they got.
  5. I line my doors with lead sheet with contact adhesive. Its great stuff and is great for deadening doors. I also use this stuff in my home speakers, you can get it at mitre 10 for a very reasonable price, I forget how much though.
  6. I'm speaking from a purely functional point of view. BOV or BPV perform a relatively simple function, they prevent air from rushing back into the turbo. A stock BOV is quite efficient and I have seen people note that the stock BOV is better than some aftermarket parts. As for comparing aftermarket wheels and aftermarket BOVs. You're really comparing apples with oranges. You change the wheels because you want to personalise the look of your car. i.e. an aesthetic upgrade usually. Changing the BOV is for what? performance? I think not. Show me the difference in time trials an aftermarket BOV makes.
  7. Well, I think there needs to be clarification here. Most turbo cars already have a factory BOV. e.g. My WRX and my R33 GTST. I think you are refering to after market BOV's that vent to atmosphere instead of being redirected in to the system. And for the record, I do agree that those BOV's that vent to atmosphere are pretty much "wank bits".
  8. I am 23 turning 24 soon. Never had an accident and have a clean record. My rating 2 qoute was for $1,168 from Just Car, Famous could not beat it. My car is a 94' skyline gtst, agreed value of 16k. I am currently rating 3 but will be having rating 2 next year. My bro is rating 4, qouted for $2,200, he is only 19 with the similar driving record. Famous qouted $3,200.
  9. Why are people continually getting sucked in to buying packaged splits? Heres what I have done for my home and my car and the results have been excellent. I have bought various drivers like Focal or scanspeak, typical high end home audio stuff and have used them for my home audio and car audio. I've seen these drivers feature in home speakers of more than 15k. Nothing can compare to the SQ you get using these top of the line drivers. The only difficult part is putting the crossover together, but if have played with Lego before you should be ok. Ask mum first before using the soldering iron
  10. Since your quite the tight ass, why not carve one out of wood yourself?
